MARIETTA — On Sept. 26, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports.

* On Sept. 20, a dog belonging to Jennifer Lynn Nichols, 37, of Anderson Lane, Waterford, became loose and entered onto a neighbor’s property. Nichols was contacted and sent someone to retrieve her dog. A summons is being requested for Nichols for failing to restrain her dog.

* On Sept. 21, Deputy Johnson was dispatched to Congress Road in reference to a report of animals at large. A neighbor reported a cow belonging to Robert P. Tate Sr., 66, of 1582 Congress Road, Belpre, was in her yard. The neighbor stated that this is an ongoing problem with Tate’s animals. Deputy Johnson learned that the sheriff’s office had been called numerous times to this area for the same complaint of Tate’s animals being loose, and Tate had been told in reference to charges being filed. Deputy Johnson made contact with Tate who stated that he would get the cow into the fenced in area and make sure it stayed there. Inquiry was made of Tate if he had dog tags for his dog. Tate advised that he had forgotten to do this; however, he would take care of it. Tate will be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court for animals at large.

* On Sept. 21, Deputy Huffer was dispatched to 5045 Veto Road, Vincent, in reference to a temporary protection order violation. Tanya M. Bowers reported that she had received a text message from a person she had a protection order against. A check was made to ensure the protection order was still active. A summons will be requested through Marietta Municipal Court for violation of a protection order on Jackson Francis Bowers, 46, of 210 Sixth Street, Beverly.

* On Sept. 22, Jeffery A. Shuck, of Wynnwood Drive, Marietta, reported damage to two vehicles at his residence. It was determined that this damage was from someone shooting a firearm. This case remains under investigation.

* On Sept. 22, deputies were called to the Grandview Township area where a Bobcat T200 turbo had been located in the woods by U.S. Forest Service Agents. This case remains under investigation.

* On Sept. 22, Deputy Huffer responded to Decatur Township to a 17-year-old juvenile being unruly, belligerent and verbally abusive. After speaking with all individuals it was determined the juvenile would be summoned into Washington County Juvenile Court.

* On Sept. 23, while speaking with Roberta S. Parks, of 147 Oak Drive, Little Hocking, she advised Sgt. Reeder that she had received a text message from Ronald Deem Jr., 43, of Oak Drive, Little Hocking, the previous evening, which is a violation of the protection order that was issued. Deem was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court on the violation charge and transported to the Washington County Jail.

* On Sept. 23, Deputy Carr met with Tina Marie Pavel, of 540 Main St., Waterford, in reference to a domestic violence incident involving Mark Anthony Merola, 59, of 540 Main St., Waterford. Pavel advised deputies that she was in fear for her safety during the incident. Merola was located at the home and transported to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office where he was charged with domestic violence.

The following warrants were received at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

* Joshua Saunders, of 80 Dye St., for Newport, for parole violation.

* Donald Hendershot, of 101 Evans St., Apt. B9, New Matamoras, for failure to appear.

* Anthony Hill, of 1154 Patten Mills Road, Bartlett, for disorderly conduct.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday and Monday:

* Crystal Lavonne Losey, 34, of 111 West Montgomery St., Marietta, on a warrant for a probation violation, a felony out of Erie County. Losey was arrested by Patrolman Kramer of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 2:31 p.m.

* Joshua Duane Sauders, 19, of 80 Dye St., Newport, on a warrant for a probation violation, a misdemeanor. Saunders was arrested by Deputy McKee of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 3:30 p.m.

* Weston Charles Hickman, 23, of 721 Old River Road, Little Hocking, for receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. Hickman was arrested by Patrolman Huck of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 8:56 p.m.

* Mark Anthony Merola, 59, of 540 Main St., Waterford, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Merola was arrested by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 23 at 9:22 p.m.

* Austin Richard Harpster, 23, of Cisler Lane, Marietta, for resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. Harpster was arrested by Patrolman Giffin of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 12:30 a.m.

* Valerie Lynn Garrett, 58, of 5235 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Garrett was arrested by Deputy Carr of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Garrett was charged with drug possession after arriving at the Washington County Jail by Deputy Zide and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 1:27 a.m.

* Roger Lee Lozier, 56, of 205 Second St., Lot 4, Beverly, for OVI and failure to reinstate driver’s license, both misdemeanors. Lozier was arrested by Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 2:04 a.m.

* Cory Joseph Ritterbeck, 29, of 13 Olive St., Caldwell, for criminal damaging/endangering, OVI , running red light, and FRA suspension, all misdemeanors. Ritterbeck was arrested by Patrolman Huck of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 4 a.m.

* Theodore Lambert III, 54, of Riverview Drive, Marietta, on a warrant for FRA suspension, a misdemeanor. Lambert was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Richards of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 7:18 a.m.

* Michael Scott Welch, 46, of 1107 29th St., Parkersburg, for aggravated menacing, drug possession, and drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Welch was arrested by Deputy Reeder of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 1:18 p.m.

* Jesse Scott Books, 34, of 736 Greene St., Marietta, on warrants for failure to appear and drug possession/instruments, both misdemeanors. Books was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Kramer of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 2:01 p.m.

* Steven Douglas Fulton, 63, homeless, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Fulton was arrested by Patrolman Huck of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 8:14 p.m.

* Brett Albert Bringardner, 55, of 619 7th St., Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Bringardner was arrested at 121 Dean St., in Marietta by Patrolman Giffin of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 24 at 11:18 p.m.

* Vickie Marie Thompson, 33, of 513 Smith St., Marietta for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Huck of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 25 at 2:07 a.m.

* Aaron Lee Tice, 21, of 215 Fifth St., Marietta, for disorderly conduct. Tice was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Richards of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 25 at 2:18 a.m.

* Krystopher Mikhal Neff, 28, of Greenbriar Lane, Davisville, for possession of controlled substance, a felony. Neff was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Holiday of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 25 at 5:17 p.m.

* Courtney Renae Stimpert, 27, of 1800 Rockland Ave., Belpre, for theft, a felony. Stimpert was arrested by Patrolman Holiday of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 25 at 7:35 p.m.

* Aaron Matthew Hess, 37, of 610 Warren St., Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Hess was arrested by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 25 at 9:30 p.m.

* Brian Denver Hess, 40, of Tennis Center Drive, Marietta, for disorderly conduct. Hess was arrested by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 25 at 9:36 p.m.

* Skyler Michael Paul, 23, of 1314 Glendale Road, Marietta, for theft and criminal trespass, both misdemeanors. Paul was arrested by Patrolman Giffin of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 25 at 10:06 p.m.

MARIETTA — On Sept. 27, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports.

* On Sept. 23, Deputy Carr was dispatched to Muskingum River Road in regard to a possible drunken driver. While patrolling, Carr observed a vehicle southbound on Muskingum River Road in the middle of the road. As Carr approached the vehicle the driver did not provide room for him to pass, causing him to drop his right wheels in the grass to avoid a collision. As the vehicle passed it was identified as a dark colored vehicle. Carr turned to follow the vehicle, finding the vehicle in the ditch, still idling and in reverse. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Valerie Lynn Garrett, 58, of 5235 Muskingum River Road, Lowell. Garrett was slurring her speech and stated she had been to a class reunion and had consumed a few drinks. Garrett was asked to exit the vehicle, where she was unsteady on her feet and smelled of an intoxicating beverage. Garrett refused to perform any field sobriety tests or a portable breath test. Garrett admitted to consuming five or six drinks. Garrett was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail where she was charged with second offense OVI.

* On Sept. 24, Valerie Lynn Garrett, 58, of 5235 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, was being processed into the Washington County Jail on a charge of OVI. While Garrett was being booked, what appeared to be a Xanax pill was found in Garrett’s purse. Garrett was questioned about the pill and admitted it was a Xanax and that she knew it was in the purse, and knew it was illegal to possess. Garrett was further charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The following warrants were received at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

* Jenna Radabaugh, of 101 Washington St., Marietta, for failure to appear.

* Diane Miracle, of 1315 Ridgeway Ave., Parkersburg, for failure to appear.

* Brandon Hall, 721 Ohio Ave., Belpre, for failure to appear.

* William Smith, of 1278 Bender Road, Marietta, for failure to appear.

The following suspect was processed into the Washington County Jail on Tuesday:

* Jennifer Lynn Goff, 26, of 3545 Plymouth Springmill Road, Shelby, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Goff was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on Sept. 27 at 12:31 a.m.
