PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on March 29:

* On March 24, deputies responded to Wildwood Drive in reference to a complaint of the odor of marijuana coming from an apartment. Deputies approached the front door which was open and detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside. A citation was issued to Nikki Lee Vanfossen, 32, of Wildwood Drive for possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana.

* On March 24, while on a call at Wildwood Drive, deputies were approached by the apartment manager who reported a lawnmower had been stolen. The complainant advised that someone had removed a lawnmower which had been chained and secured to an outside air conditioner by cutting the wiring that surrounded the unit. A deputy observed tracks in the grass that led away from the apartment toward Wood County 95. At this time no suspects and the incident remains under investigation.

* On March 24, a citation was issued to Courtney Dawn Hollen, 24, of Ruby Drive, Davisville for a red light violation.

* On March 24, a citation was issued to Andrew Allen Siers, 30, of Linden Street for speeding, 63 in a 45 mph zone.

* On March 25, deputies responded to Rolling Hills Court in reference to a subject wanted on a parole violation and an outstanding warrant issued through Parkersburg Police Department for battery. Marshall Leroy Saunders Sr., 30, of Rolling Hills Court, was taken into custody. Saunders was processed, arraigned on the warrant then confined in the Holding Center pending transportation to North Central Regional Jail on the parole violation.

* On March 25, a citation was issued to Mark Aaron McIntyre, 34, of Broughton Avenue, Marietta, on charges of driving under suspension and no child restraint.

* On March 26, during a traffic stop, Tasha Marie Craver, 33, of Rutledge Road, Transfer, Pa., was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of controlled substances and possession of a controlled substance.

* On March 26, Joseph E. Holdren, 18, of 38th Street, Vienna, was arrested for a charge of aggravated DUI, after he ran a stop sign and nearly hit a deputy sheriff’s cruiser head on, while traveling in the wrong lane of Pike Street in Pettyville.

* On March 26, a citation was issued to Ava J. James, 59, of 22nd Avenue, on a charge of speeding, 47 mph in a 35 mph zone.

* On March 27, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after a deputy observed the vehicle to have no registration. The driver, Michael Paul Hollingsworth, 36, of Briggs Hill Road, Marietta, was arrested on charges of obstruction, driving under suspension and no registration. Hollingsworth was also arrested on two active warrants issued through Vienna Police Department for driving under suspension and shoplifting.

* On March 27, John Raymond Caldwell III, 37, of Glendale Road, Marietta, was arrested on a charge of DUI after he was stopped for a traffic violation.

* On March 27, a citation was issued to Donald Edward Champa, 22, of Tioga Trail, Willoughby, Ohio, on a charge of speeding, 75 mph in a 65 mph zone.

* On March 27, deputies responded to Dry Run Road in reference to a domestic disturbance. Rebecca Sue Longwell, 38, of North Dry Run Road, Williamstown, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and failure to obey a police officer.

* On March 28, a citation was issued to Chris Harold Shackleford, 43, of West Fifth Street, Williamstown, on a charge of fourth-offense public intoxication.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on March 24:

* On March 22, deputies responded to 16th Street in reference to warrant service. Jeromy Douglas Barker, 39, of 16th Street was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for fleeing and eluding. Barker was processed at the holding center, arraigned before a magistrate and released on a $4,000 PR bond.

* On March 22, a deputy responded to Sharon Street in reference to a warrant service. Amber Rae Fraley, 37, of Sharon Street was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for grand larceny. Fraley was processed at the holding center and taken before a magistrate where she was arraigned and released on a $10,000 bond.

* On March 22, deputies responded to Blue Front Hollow in reference to a male subject standing in the roadway. Deputies located three subjects who advised they were having car trouble with someone coming to bring them gas. A local check showed an active warrant on file for the male subject. Timothy Edward Burch, 34, of Central Drive, Vienna, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of Ritchie County for driving on suspended license. Burch was processed at the holding center, arraigned before a magistrate and released on a PR bond.

* On March 23, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after a deputy observed the vehicle to go left of center twice. Rusmir Ibralic, 41, of Fourth Avenue, was arrested on charges of aggravated driving under the influence. Ibralic was processed and confined in the holding center pending arraignment.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on March 21:

* On March 16, a citation was issued to Calvin R. Westfall, 50, of Rayon Drive, for no seatbelt.

* On March 16, a citation was issued to Jerod Scott Williams, 29, of Meadowview Drive, for no seatbelt.

* On March 16, a citation was issued to Donavon Earl Martin, Jr., 22, of Fourth Street NW Carrolltown, Ohio for no seatbelt.

* On March 16, a citation was issued to Arturs Vitins, 23, of Campus Drive, Vienna for no seatbelt. Passenger Kelvin Toma, 24, of Moulin Avenue, Madison Heights, Mich., was also issued a citation for no seatbelt.

* On March 16, a citation was issued to Nikoloz Varsazashvili, 22, of Seasons Drive, Columbus, Ohio, for no seatbelt.

* On March 16, a citation was issued to Samuel Ray Phillips, 21, of Staunton Turnpike, Walker, for no seatbelt.

* On March 16, a citation was issued to Larry Eddie Delong, 43, of Powell Drive for no seatbelt. Passenger Angela Dawn Delong, 39, of Powell Drive, was also issued a citation for no seatbelt.

* On March 17, Tyler James Ash, 23, of Palmer Drive was served the warrant for battery which was issued through the Vienna Police Department. Ash, who was confined on other charges, was arraigned and then confined back to the holding center.

* On March 17, a deputy responded to magistrate court in reference to serving an outstanding warrant on Ryan Eugene Paxton, 29, of Sand Ridge Road, Waterford, Ohio, for driving under the influence with bodily injury. The warrant originated from a Williamstown Police Department case. Paxton was arraigned then released on a PR bond.

* On March 17, a deputy responded to Herning Lane in reference to a domestic situation. A local check showed that the male subject had an active warrant on file. Michael Lee Gray, 31, of Herning Lane, was arrested on the warrant for false pretense issued through the Parkersburg Police Department. Gray was placed in the holding center pending arraignment.

* On March 17, Thomas Eugene Stevens III, 36, of Ridgewood Drive, Williamstown, was arrested for driving on suspended license fourth offense.

* On March 18, deputies responded to the 2800 block of Core Road in reference to a vehicle crash. The driver of an Audi had been traveling northbound on Core Road when it veered across the left side of the roadway, across the sidewalk and onto Worthington Golf Course. The driver, while backing up to leave, struck and ran over a taxi driver who had stopped to check on the crash. The taxi driver was transported to the hospital for injuries to his legs. The driver of the car then drove to Hackers where another taxi was called to pick him up. The taxi company was called and advised to bring the driver back to the scene. Keiran James Spader, 24, of Lincoln Drive was arrested for driving under the influence with injury. Spader was confined in the holding center pending arraignment.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Deaprtment released the following reports on March 14:

* On March 10, a warrant was served on Anthony William Smith, 27, of 30th Street for shoplifting after he turned himself in at the Wood County Sheriff’s Office on the outstanding warrant. Smith was arraigned before a magistrate and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* On March 10, Jordan Levi McNeely, 24, of Camden Avenue was arrested at the Wood County Sheriff’s Office on four outstanding misdemeanor charges of unlawful taking of vehicle, driving on suspended license, accident involving damage and driving too fast for conditions. McNeely was also arrested on a felony warrant for grand larceny. McNeely was arraigned before a magistrate and released on $7,000 bond.

* On March 11, a citation was issued to Renee Helen Dlugos, 42, of Sycamore Street, Ravenswood, for expired registration.

* On March 11, a citation was issued to David Paul Caplinger, 21, of Pike Street for no operator’s license.

* On March 11, citations were issued to Levi Aaron Smith, 23, of West Circle Drive, for possession of marijuana and possession of acetaminophen/hydrocodone, after a traffic stop on Old St. Marys Pike. A citation was issued to passenger Justin Michael Anderson, 25, of 36th Street for possession of marijuana.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports March 10:

* On March 9, a citation was issued to Jeffrey Earl Davis, 41, of 30th Street, Parkersburg, on a charge of no seatbelt.

* On March 9, a citation was issued to Mark Allen Clemens, 43, of Briscoe Road, Parkersburg, on a charge of no seatbelt.

* On March 9, a citation was issued to Holly Marlaina Martin, 22, of West Sixth Street, Moses Lake, Wash., on charges of no seatbelt and no insurance.

* On March 9, citations were issued to Missi A. Scott, 44, of State Route 26, Marietta, on charges of driving under suspension, no insurance and two charges of no seatbelt, one for herself as driver and the other for her passenger.

* On March 9, a citation was issued to Brian Scott Burnside, 44, of East Pine Street, Davisville, on a charge of no seatbelt.

* On March 9, citations were issued to Michael David Wilson, 25, of College Parkway, Parkersburg, on two counts of no seatbelt, one for himself as driver and the other for his passenger.

* On March 9, a citation was issued to Mariah Marie Miller, 19, of Powell Drive, Parkersburg, on a charge of no seatbelt.

* On March 10, during a traffic stop, the driver initially lied about her identity due to her license being suspended. Amber Dawn Powell, 32, of Middle Ridge Lane, Parkersburg, was arrested on charges of obstruction, driving under suspension, false motor vehicle inspection, registration violation and no insurance.

* On March 10, Jason Andrew Cook, 26, of Ohio River Road, Point Pleasant, W.Va., was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Interstate 77.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on March 9:

* On March 8, deputies were called by W.Va. Department of Corrections in reference to an escaped inmate. Apparently the inmate’s girlfriend had called DOC advising that she had been near the Mountaineer Restaurant when he came running toward the car, jumped in and advised her to drive away. The girlfriend stated she drove a short distance on I-77 when he told her to pull over. He then left her standing on the interstate and drove away. A criminal complaint was signed for escape. Steven Anthony Falbo, 40, of Fourth Avenue, Montgomery, W.Va., was captured near Gauley Bridge in Fayette County and will be brought back to Parkersburg.

* On March 8, a citation was issued to Shawn Asa Ashby, 40, of Pleasant View Drive, Elizabeth, for cell phone use while driving.

* On March 8, a citation was issued to Brittany D. Smith, 25, of Lou Willis Drive, Waverly, for seatbelt violation.

* On March 9, during a traffic stop, David Jon Tibbs, 55, of Chateau Hills, was arrested for driving on a suspended license.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports on March 8:

* On March 4, a deputy responded to Knotts Avenue for a destruction of property. The complainant reported her vehicle had been damaged by unknown means. The tire had been pried away from the rim and there was a small dent to the front passenger side door.

* On March 4, deputies responded to Southern Highway for a domestic disturbance in progress. Keith Daniel Graham, 42, of Southern Highway was arrested on five counts of prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

* On March 5, during a traffic stop the deputy detected the odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, a smoking pipe with residue and a 9 mm pistol were found. A citation was issued to Adam Mathew Powell, 19, of Pike Street for fraudulent MVI and possession of marijuana. Darin Matthew Johnson, 20, of Pond Creek Road was arrested for possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon without a license. Three juvenile citations were issued to other occupants for possession of marijuana.

* On March 5, during a traffic stop, Chance Tyler Russell, 23, of St. Marys Avenue was arrested for DUI second-offense, aggravated DUI and a warrant for petit larceny.

* On March 5, deputies responded to Dempsie Avenue for an unwanted subject. A local check showed four outstanding warrants issued from the West Virginia Division of Natural Resrouces. Michael Shane Donahue, 39, of Dempsie Avenue was arrested on the warrants. Donahue was processed, arraigned and released on a $3,000 PR bond.

* On March 5, Sean Raphael David Stephens, 40, of Walker Road was arrested for driving on suspended license third-offense. Stephens was processed, arraigned and released on $2,000 bond.

* On March 5, a citation was issued to Sarah Jessica Unroe, 21, of N. Eagle Drive, Muncie, Ind., for failure to obey a traffic control device.

* On March 5, deputies responded to Waverly Acres for a domestic incident. A man inside the residence had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and a local check showed an active capias for him for underage consumption, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. William Joseph Tanner, 19, of Leachtown Lane, Walker, was arrested on the capias and a new charge of underage consumption.

* On March 5, during a traffic stop, the deputy detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Marijuana was handed over to the deputy along with three smoking bowls and a digital scale. A citation was issued to Autumn Danielle Metz, 23, of Washington Drive, Mineral Wells, for possession of marijuana. A citation was also issued to Lawrence Bryar Burke, 20, of Leachtown Lane, Walker, for possession of marijuana.

* On March 5, a citation was issued to Chequita Marie Haislep, 22, of Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, for speeding, 76 in a 55 mph zone and driving on suspended license second-offense.

* On March 6, during a traffic stop, a local check on the driver showed active warrants for her arrest. Amy Michelle Bing, 29, of Crescent Street was arrested for driving on suspended license, improper use of registration, no insurance and the outstanding warrants.

* On March 6, during a traffic stop, Thomas Michael George, 25, of Blanchard Road, Holland, N.Y., was arrested for aggravated DUI.

* On March 6, during a traffic stop, Kendra Leigh Metz, 26, of Island View Drive was arrested for DUI and driving while suspended.

* On March 6, during a traffic stop, Joseph Robert Tranquill, 35, of 36th Street was arrested for DUI.

* On March 6, deputies responded to Bull Creek Road for a subject at the residence with an active warrant. Amanda Dawn Mackey Godfrey, 33, of Bull Creek Road was arrested on a warrant for Violation of Domestic Violence Protective Order.

* On March 6, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-77. Several vehicles traveling southbound had to yield to avoid a head-on collision before the deputy could get the vehicle stopped. Joseph David Perone, 45, of 53rd Street, Kenosha, Wis., was arrested on charges of DUI third-offense.

* On March 6, a citation was issued to Tyrita Jean Gulley, 25, of Orlando Avenue, Akron, for speeding, 80 in a 70 mph zone and No Insurance.

* On March 6, a citation was issued to Patrick J. Fought, 45, of Lincoln Drive for possession of a controlled substance and improper registration.

* On March 7, during a traffic stop, Jeffery Jason Miller, 39, of Helen Avenue was arrested for DUI, driving while license suspended, improper registration and no insurance.

* On March 3, Lisa Ann Sabatka, 25, of Tall Oaks Trail, Olmstead, Ohio, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.

* On March 3, John Paul Montgomery, 59, of Meadowview Drive, Parkersburg, was arrested at his residence on an outstanding warrant for battery.

* On March 3, a citation was issued to Heather Renee Dillon, 21, of Branham Drive, Parkersburg, on a charge of failure to obey traffic control device. A passenger, Diana Kay Slusher-Williams, 32, of Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for driving under suspension.

* On March 4, during a traffic stop, Andrew Ryan Graham, 22, of Lake Road, Fleming, Ohio, was arrested on charges of driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.

* On March 4, deputies responded to Briscoe Road in reference to a domestic disturbance. Jessica June Horner Tanzey, 23, of Gihon Road, Parkersburg, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.

* On March 2, a citation was issued to Evan Dakota DeGraef, 19, of Conger Road for speeding, 101 in a 65 mph zone.

* On March 2, a citation was issued to Michael Allen Bailey, 19, of Fourth Avenue for driving on suspended license.

* On March 2, a citation was issued to Brandon Heath Miller, 33, of Tygart Street for no insurance and expired registration.

* On March 2, a citation was issued to Joshua Thomas Berry, 32, of Beacon Lane, Ripley, for driving on suspended license and no seatbelt.

* On March 3, during a traffic stop, a check showed an active warrant on file for a passenger. The driver, Heather Renee Dillon, 21, was issued a citation for failure to obey traffic control signal. Passenger Diana Kay Slusher, 32, of Grand Central Avenue was arrested on the active warrant for driving on suspended license and no insurance.

* On March 3, Ryan Michael Shumaker, 37, of 19th Street was arrested for DUI. Shumaker was confined in the holding center pending arraignment.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports March 2:

* A local resident reported getting a call from persons claiming to be with the IRS. During the call the resident talked to a man and a woman who spoke with distinct foreign accents. The resident was told he needed to turn over $8,900 to satisfy an unpaid tax liability. After talking to the callers for a few minutes, the resident realized this was a scam and terminated the call.

A sheriff’s deputy called the number provided by the resident (509-258-4631) and spoke with a female. The female claimed to be with the IRS until the deputy advised her he was a police officer. At that point, the woman hung up.

The sheriff’s department advises residents to be wary of calls they get concerning the exchange of money.

* On Feb. 29, a citation was issued to Michael Anthony Easton, 29, of Pettyville Road, for no motor vehicle inspection.

* On Feb. 29, a citation was issued to Jessica D. Petty, 29, of Fourth Avenue, for expired registration.

* On March 1, a citation was issued to Nikki Lee Vanfossen, 32, of Green Meadow Drive, for driving on a suspended license.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports March 1:

* On Feb. 26, Joshua Don Martin, 35, no address provided, was arrested on a capias warrant on a charge of failure to appear and a worthless check warrant. Martin was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court and released on a personal recognizance bond.

* On Feb. 26, Richard Allen Bell, 43, of Marrtown Road, Parkersburg, was arrested on a warrant for a charge of battery. Bell was arraigned in magistrate court and released on bond.

* On Feb. 26, a citation was issued to Rachael Madeline Marie Samples, 24, of Woodland Forest, Winfield, W.Va., on a charge of using an electronic communication device.

* On Feb. 26, Jill Marie Allman, 38, of Spider Ridge Road, Parkersburg, was arrested on a charge of aggravated driving under the influence.

* On Feb. 26, a citation was issued to Natalie C. Hess, 27, of Helen Avenue, Parkersburg, on a charge of no insurance.

* On Feb. 27, David Wayne Huddle, 54, of East Lubeck Hills Drive, Parkersburg, was arrested on a charge of aggravated DUI.

* On Feb. 27, deputies responded to Williamstown Pike in reference to a single-vehicle accident. A female passenger was transported to Camden Clark Medical Center for injuries. The driver, Ryan Keith Leek, 23, of Kings Ridge Road, St. Marys, was arrested on a charge of DUI with injury.

* On Feb. 27, Jonathan Bruce Vance, 40, of Fallen Timber Drive, Parkersburg, was arrested on a charge of aggravated DUI.

* On Feb. 27, a deputy responded to a call of a subject passed out in a running vehicle on Walnut Drive in Waverly. Steven Timothy Bowe Jr., 24, of Java Run Road, St. Marys, was arrested on a DUI charge.

* On Feb. 27, deputies responded to Dulcie Avenue in reference to a domestic altercation in progress. Lorena Ann Carney, 28, of Dulcie Avenue, Parkersburg, was arrested on two counts of obstructing, as a result of her actions at the scene, and on an outstanding warrant for destruction of property.

* On Feb. 27, a deputy responded to South Second Street in reference to a suspicious person. The male subject told deputies he entered the property through the fence to look for his cell phone. A witness also observed the man open the doors and enter two trucks parked on the property. Joseph Lyle Bock, 47, of Ball School Road, Parkersburg, was arrested on charges of trespassing and two counts of tampering with an unattended vehicle.

* On Feb. 27, a citation was issued to David Winston Harter, 52, of Center Street, Parkersburg, on a charge of speeding, 67 mph in a 45 mph zone.

* On Feb. 27, a citation was issued to Alicia Nicole Lester, 19, of East Poplar Street, Parkersburg, on a charge of no insurance.

* On Feb. 27, a citation was issued to Kristie Jo Jenkins, 32, of Emerson Avenue, Parkersburg, on charges of driving under suspension and no insurance.

* On Feb. 27, a citation was issued to Carrie Dawn Duncan, 35, of DuPont Circle, Parkersburg, for driving under suspension.

* On Feb. 27, a citation was issued to Justin Everett Bledsoe, 33, of Hocking Road, Belpre, on a charge of speeding, 60 mph in a 45 mph zone.

* On Feb. 27, Coty Astin Eddy, 23, of Defiance Avenue, Mineral Wells, was arrested on a warrant for battery, driving without a valid driver’s license, improper use of registration and no insurance.

* On Feb. 27, citations were issued to William Alan Buckley, 56, of 17th Street, Parkersburg, on charges of improper registration and no insurance.

* On Feb. 28, Lewis D. Miller, 48, of Jones Street, Mineral Wells, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.

* On Feb. 28, a citation was issued to Zachary Wayne Lemley, 23, of Homewood Road, Parkersburg, on a charge of possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana.

* On Feb. 28, a citation was issued to D’Andre Lemore Price, 23, of 15th Street, Parkersburg, for driving under suspension and possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana.

* On Feb. 29, a citation was issued to Mary Elizabeth Sherman, 21, of Bonar Lane, Parkersburg, on a charge of no insurance.

* On Feb. 29, a citation was issued to Ernest William Dixon Jr., 21, of 28th Street, Vienna, on a charge of possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana.

* On Feb. 29, Alicia Dawn Whisner, 27, of Ruble Road, Belleville, was arrested on a charge of aggravated DUI.
