PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Sept. 28:

* Carla R. Vickers, 36, of Nicholasville, Ky., was arrested at the Wood County Holding Center on an indictment out of the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court on a charge of child neglect resulting in death.

* Kenneth D. Holbert, 37, of Nicholasville, Ky., was arrested at the Wood County Holding Center on an indictment out of the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court on a charge of child neglect resulting in death.

* Sarah M. Lightner, 33, of Parkersburg, was arrested at Family Law Master Court on a capias warrant.

* Matthew D. Halstead, 24, of Walker, was arrested on a charge of possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana after contact was made with him at Twin Lakes Road and near Rosemar Road.

* Sheena M. Davis, 53, of Parkersburg, was arrested on a charge of third-offense driving on a suspended license.

* Jordon C. Bunner, 25, of Creston, was cited on charges of no insurance and expired operator’s license after a traffic stop on Elizabeth Pike and Frontage Road.

* On Sept. 23, a citation was issued to David C. Reynolds, 66, of Greenhouse Lane, Harrisville, for speeding, 55 mph in a 45 mph zone.

* On Sept. 23, a citation was issued to Tonya K. Hicks, 41, of Washington Boulevard, Belpre, for speeding, 56 mph in a 45 mph zone.

* On Sept. 23, a citation was issued to Holly R. Henry, 37, of Watson Lane, Belpre, for speeding, 55 mph in a 45 mph zone.

* On Sept. 23, Kayla E. Bullabough, 24, of Market Street, Parkersburg, was taken into custody at Family Court on a charge of violation of a domestic violation protective order. Bullabough was transported to the Wood County Holding Center where she was processed, arraigned before a magistrate, then released on $3,000 bond.

* On Sept. 23, a citation was issued to Carl Edward Dearth, 66, of Phillips Street, Marietta, for driving under suspension.

* On Sept. 23, a citation was issued to Brett Edward Koon, 31, of Latrobe Street, Parkersburg, for driving under suspension and no seat belt.

* On Sept. 23, a citation was issued to Roy Earl Garrett, 46, of Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburrg, for no operators.

* Nathan McDermott, 30, of Vienna, was taken into custody at Wood County Magistrate Court after turning himself in on a capias warrant.

* Stacie M. Willis, 43, of Waverly, was taken into custody on warrants for petit larceny and trespassing after units were called to Waverly Acres in reference to a domestic dispute.

* Heather Suggs, 35, of Williamstown, reported damage to her residence and a vehicle that was parked there. The incident remains under investigation.

* Brian W. Dight, 47, of Waverly, reported damage to his garage window. The incident remains under investigation.

* Elmer Knox, 83, of Parkersburg, was cited for driving on a suspended license and no insurance after a traffic stop on Interstate 77.

* Britani N. Robinson, 24, of Vienna, was cited for no insurance after a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Gihon Road in south Parkersburg.

* Betty A. Gray, 53, of Parkersburg, was cited for speeding, 28 mph in a 15 mph school zone, after a traffic stop on Staunton Turnpike near Little Addition Road.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports Sept. 16:

* On Sept. 15, Adam L. Cottrill, 30, of Mineral Wells, was cited for false motor vehicle inspection after a traffic stop in the 500 block of Southern Highway.

* On Sept. 15, a 17-year-old Mineral Wells resident was cited for speeding, 44 mph in a 35 mph zone, after a traffic stop on Turkey Foot Road at Meadowland Drive.

* On Sept. 15, Clyde A. Taylor, 46, of Parkersburg was cited for driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Gihon Road.

* On Sept. 15, Candice D. Prather, 31, of Parkersburg was cited for driving on a suspended license, no insurance, and possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana after a traffic stop in the 900 block of Lynn Street.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 14:

* On Sept. 11, deputies responded to Brown Avenue in reference to serving a domestic violence protective order. Stephanie Diane Dobbins was taken into custody on a warrant for violation of a domestic violence protective order and was served the order in hand. Dobbins was processed, taken before a magistrate and then released on $2,000 bond.

* On Sept. 11, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after it was observed to have an expired motor vehicle inspection. Shauna R. Parsons, 29, of Parkersburg, was taken into custody on charges of driving under suspension and no or expired motor vehicle inspection. Parsons was processed at the Wood County Holding Center, arraigned before a magistrate and then released on $1,600 bond.

* On Sept. 11, Jamie Allen Beatty, 22, of 41st Street, Vienna, was arrested on a warrant issued through the Vienna Police Department for petit larceny. Beatty was processed, arraigned before a magistrate, and then released on $2,000 bond.

* On Sept. 11, a citation was issued to Trina Ray Toncray, 33, of Brown Avenue, Parkersburg, for no insurance.

* On Sept. 11, a deputy responded to Emerson Avenue in reference to a larceny from a vehicle. The complainant advised that someone had entered her vehicle and removed a DVD player with two screens along with some cash. No known suspect(s) at this time.

* On Sept. 12, a deputy along with West Virginia State Police responded to the Westfall Campground in reference to underage drinking. Contact was made with the driver and passengers at which time a deputy detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Siera Leshay Radabaugh, 21, of Elizabeth Street, Belpre, and Cedar Eliel English, 25, of King Street, Belpre, were taken into custody on charges of possession of marijuana.

* On Sept. 12, Amber Nicole Mackey, 32, of 32nd Street, Parkersburg, was taken into custody on warrants for shoplifting and driving without a valid license after a traffic stop. Mackey was arraigned and released after posting $2,000 bond.

* On Sept. 12, a citation was issued to Mark A. Moore Jr., 36, of Third Street, Marietta, for no insurance.

* On Sept. 12, a deputy providing security at the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival in Williamstown was advised of a female outside the Beachcomber Bar throwing rocks at vehicles. Rachel Farrah Walters, 33, of Putnam Street, Parkersburg, was taken into custody on charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Walters was transported to the holding center for processing and arraignment, and then released on bond to a sober party.

* On Sept. 12, a citation was issued to Paul Joseph Brown, 43, of Oak Street, St. Albans, W.Va., for no insurance.

* On Sept. 12, a citation was issued to Jana Marie Barnhart, 32, of Walnut Street, Belpre, for seat belt violation and no insurance.

* On Sept. 12, a deputy responded to Dickens Drive in reference to a domestic incident. Monica Lynn Anderson, 49, of Dickens Drive, Parkersburg, was taken into custody on charges of possession of marijuana and public intoxication.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 11.

* On Sept. 10, deputies responded to a crash on Interstate 77 near mile marker 180. The vehicle involved was a Mercedes Benz C240. The said vehicle had apparently lost control then ran off the roadway and struck a drainage grate. The driver left the scene but was later identified as Jason D. Deem, 39, of Parkersburg. Charges are pending from this crash.

* On Sept. 10, Brandon L. Eddy of Parkersburg was arrested on a warrant for jaywalking after contact was made with him in the 4600 block of College Parkway.

* On Sept. 10, Carr Concrete reported the breaking and entering of one of its buildings in Waverly. Items were also taken from this business. Case remains under investigation.

* On Sept. 10, deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call on Corra Drive and found the suspicious vehicle to be stolen from Washington County, Ohio. The vehicle was towed from Corra Drive. This incident remains under investigation.

* On Sept. 10, Holly M. Harmon, 44, of Vienna, was arrested for domestic battery at her residence on Willard Road after deputies were called in reference to a domestic dispute.

* On Sept. 10, Nathan B. Wagner, 16, of Parkersburg, was cited for 40 mph in a 35 mph zone after a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Seventh Street.

* On Sept. 10, Jessica D. White, 35, of Parkersburg, was cited for expired registration after a traffic stop on Robert Byrd Highway and Staunton Turnpike.

* On Sept. 9, Whitney M. Reeder, 25, of Parkersburg was arrested for domestic battery at her residence after units had been dispatched there.

* On Sept. 9, Jeffery L. Schmitt, 33, of Mineral Wells was arrested on a violation of a domestic violence protection order and two warrants consisting of driving on a suspended license and expired registration. Units had been called to Pettyville Road in reference to Schmitt.

* On Sept. 9, Misty Napier, 34, of Parkersburg was arrested at Wood County Magistrate Court on a warrant for fraudulent use of an access device.

* The following persons were cited during a seatbelt checkpoint on Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at W.Va. 95 and Sunset Memory Gardens:

* Jason R. Henthorne, 39, of Parkersburg, was arrested on a warrant for petit larceny and charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop on Interstate 77. A passenger of Henthorne’s, Gwendolyn Gatrell, 37, of Parkersburg, was also arrested on warrants for driving on a suspended license, no insurance, expired registration and a seat belt violation.

* Jessica E. Stockwell, 21, of Parkersburg, was arrested for four counts of battery of a police officer, disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer and possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana after she was located in a suspicious vehicle at McDonough Wildlife Refuge. Robert C. Pierce, 23, of Parkersburg, was in the same vehicle and was arrested for obstructing and assault of a police officer.

* Jeremy M. Laughlin, 32, of Orma, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana after units were called to Go Mart on Elizabeth Pike in Mineral Wells of a disorderly subject.

* Samantha K. Fordyce, 24, of Parkersburg, was arrested on a warrant for delivery of a controlled substance after a traffic stop was made of a vehicle on Seventh Street near East Street wherein she was a passenger.

* Jackie Allen Cole, 38, of Parkersburg, was arrested for violation of a protection order, two counts of obstructing an officer, telephone harassment and domestic violence bond violation, in addition to warrants for destruction of property and domestic battery.

* James Matthew Bunner, 33, was taken into custody at Wood County Magistrate Court on a warrant for third-offense driving under suspension and three capias warrants out of Wayne County, W.Va.

* Jeffery Wayne Davis, 40, of Parkersburg, was arrested for two counts of battery of a police officer, five counts of obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident at his residence.

Keys, no age or address provided, was cited for no operator’s license, no insurance, left of center and leaving the scene of an accident after deputies responded to a crash on Burnthouse Road near Hoagland Run Road. Heather Nolan, no age or address provided, was also cited for permitting no operator’s license; Nolan owned the vehicle driven by Keys.

* Sarah J. Talarico, 29, of Davisville, was cited for no proof of insurance and driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop was made in the 6000 block of Staunton Turnpike for expired registration.

* Paige N. Barker, 21, of Smithville, was cited for reckless driving and speeding, 100 mph in a 65 mph zone, after a traffic stop on Robert Byrd Highway near Division Street.

* Brooke E. Fletcher, 27, of Middlebourne, was cited for expired registration after a traffic stop on Rayon Drive.

* Bryan L. Oliver II, 44, of Fitzgerald, Ga., was cited for no operator’s license after a traffic stop on I-77.

* Deputies responded to a burglary on Harris Highway reported by Matthew Weaver. Andrea Holbert also had items taken from this same incident.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 4:

* Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at 300 Campus Drive, Parkersburg. Charges are pending.

* Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Meadowbrook Acres involving Heather M. Statler, 38, of Lowell, and two other females. Statler was found to have a capias warrant from Wood County Magistrate Court and another warrant out of Wirt County and was arrested on these warrants. No charges were pending from the domestic dispute.

* Leyla S. Paul, 36, was arrested at magistrate court after turning herself in on a shoplifting warrant.

* Lillian Keife, 36, of Parkersburg, was arrested at her residence on a warrant for obstructing.

* Derrick A. Lanning, 34, of Belleville, was arrested on two capias warrants after a traffic stop on Harris Highway.

* Ryan J. Elder, 29, of Williamstown, was arrested on a warrant for violation of a protection order at his residence.

* Stephen C. Gedon, 52, of Williamstown, was cited for expired motor vehicle inspection and no proof of insurance after a traffic stop on Interstate 77.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 2.

* On Sept. 1, Paul J. Brown, 43, of Parkersburg was cited for no proof of insurance after a traffic stop was made on Staunton Turnpike.

* On Sept. 1, Katelyn J. Law, 19, of Williamstown was cited for a red light violation after a traffic stop on Fourth Street in Parkersburg.

* On Sept. 1, Tanya K. Powell, 50, of Parkersburg, was cited for traveling 24 mph in a 15 mph zone after a traffic stop was made on Staunton Turnpike.

* On Sept. 1, John C. Flack, 30, of Charleston was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana after a traffic stop had been made on Interstate 77. Wood County units had been advised of a possible impaired driver and Deputy B.M. Butcher located a vehicle near Mile Marker 169 matching the description. The vehicle was attempting to make a U turn into the grass median. Flack was the driver of the vehicle and was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests.

* On Sept. 1, Justin S. Hines, 31, of Parkersburg was the driver of a four-wheel ATV that ran over an embankment in the 3600 block of Buck Run Road. Hines and his passenger, Teresa Wallace, 34, of Parkersburg were transported to Camden Clark Medical Center and Marietta Memorial Hospital for injuries from the crash. Charges of driving under the influence with injury, second offense DUI and second-offense driving on a revoked license are pending against Hines.

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 3.

* On Sept. 2, Rebecca Beckett of Davisville reported a burglary of her residence.

* On Sept. 2, Richard D. Arnett, 71, of Paden City was taken into custody on Interstate 77 and W.Va. 95 after he had been observed tampering with vehicles at the Core Road Park and Ride. Arnett was found to have a stolen Ohio registration plate on his vehicle that had been taken from Marietta. Arnett was charged with driving on a suspended license, vehicle tampering and possession of stolen property.

* On Sept. 2, Nicole M. Knopp, 24, of Bluefield was taken into custody on a warrant for possession of less than fifteen grams of marijuana after a traffic stop in the 600 block of Avery Street.

* On Sept. 2, Christopher B. Parker, 30, of Waterford was arrested for public intoxication near 100 Huggins Road after units were called there in reference to a suspicious subject.

* On Sept. 2, Travis S. McCune, 24, of Vienna was arrested at Wood County Magistrate Court on a warrant for violation of a domestic violence protection order.

* On Sept. 2, Ethan D. Kirl, 25, of Mineral Wells was cited for no insurance and expired registration after a traffic stop on Elizabeth Pike.

* On Sept. 2, Robert P. Butler, 41, of Davisville was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic stop was made in the 7900 block of Pike Street.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Sept. 1:

* Kristinia S. Moeck, 35, of Mineral Wells, was cited for no proof of insurance and expired operator’s license after a traffic stop was made on Lost Pavement Road for no registration light.

* Judith A. Shaffer, 65, of Belleville, was cited for speeding, 44 mph in a 35 mph zone, after a traffic stop was made on Gihon Road.

* Michael Cooper, 47, of Elizabeth, was cited for speeding, 44 mph in a 35 mph zone, after a traffic stop was made on Gihon Road.

* Rachel L. March, 37, of Elizabeth, was cited for speeding, 44 mph in a 35 mph zone, after a traffic stop was made on Gihon Road.

* David K. Richards, 26, of Ravenswood, was cited for expired motor vehicle inspection after a traffic stop was made on Harris Highway.

* Rebecca J. Sams, 24, of Washington, W.Va., was cited for expired motor vehicle inspection after a traffic stop was made on Harris Highway.

* Chelsea R. Blair, 28, of Parkersburg, was cited for expired motor vehicle inspection after a traffic stop was made on Gihon Road.

* Melinda D. Hewitt, 32, of Davisville, was cited for no seat belt after a traffic stop was made on Division Street.

* Marshall R. Archer, 79, of Washington, W.Va., was cited for no seat belt after a traffic stop was made on Gihon Road.

* Aaron L. Davis, 27, of Parkersburg, was cited for no seat belt after a traffic stop was made on Gihon Road.

* Christopher M. Dawson, 26, of Belleville, was cited for no seat belt after a traffic stop was made on Gihon Road.

* David W. Knotts, 45, of Mineral Wells, was cited for no seat belt after a traffic stop was made on Gihon Road.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Aug. 31.

* On Aug. 28, a deputy was approached in the parking lot of the Magistrate Court Building by a female who had questions regarding child custody. The deputy recognized the female from a previous report and had knowledge that she had an active warrant on file. Brittany Dawn Hopkins, 22, of Sharon Street, was taken into custody on a warrant issued through the West Virginia State Police on a charge of unlawful taking of a vehicle. Hopkins was processed at the holding center, arraigned before a magistrate and released on bond.

* On Aug. 28, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle at the entrance to Kohl’s Department Store. A computer check showed four active warrants and an NCIC hit out of Marietta for larceny on the passenger. Christopher Charles Lee Ortega, 42, of Harris Highway, Washington, W.Va., stated he had taken meth and heroin prior to the traffic stop and was not feeling well. Ortega was transported to Camden Clark Medical Center for medical clearance, then to the holding center for placement. The driver of the vehicle Erica LaDawn Longwell, 36, of Harris Highway was issued a citation for driving on a suspended license.

* On Aug. 28, a citation was issued to Charles Howard Jefferson, 45, of 58th Street for speeding, 54 in a 45 mph zone.

* On Aug. 28, a deputy responded to Greenwood Drive in Williamstown in reference to a stolen firearm. The complainant stated he had been keeping his Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver in the console of his vehicle in a holster. Aug. 21 was the last time he observed the revolver being in the vehicle and sometime between that date and today someone entered the unlocked vehicle and removed the revolver and holster.

* On Aug. 28, a deputy responded to Keith Street in reference to a burglary that had already occurred. The complainants stated they left the residence and upon returning found six PS video games had been taken from the bookshelf in a bedroom. Both advised that the residence was still secure when they returned and they are unsure of how anyone got in. The deputy did not observe any signs of forced entry.

* On Aug. 28, a citation was issued to Jim Andy See, 60, of Revere Court, Barboursville, W.Va., for failure to yield at intersection.

* On Aug. 28, citations were issued to Adam Jeffrey Smith, 31, of 30th Street, for no insurance, improper registration and fraudulent motor vehicle inspection. The vehicle was towed.

* On Aug. 28, a citation was issued to Tabitha Ann McFee, 22, of Kathys Lane, for expired registration and no insurance.

* On Aug. 28, a deputy responded to Pike Street in reference to a vehicle crash. A citation was issued to Carl Dakota Wade, 18, of 16th Street, for failure to maintain.

* On Aug. 29, deputies had been called to a residence at North Hills Drive in reference to a loud party with vehicles blocking the roadway. Michael Aaron Perdue, 21, of Meadowlark Drive, Williamstown, was issued citation for public intoxication. Kaleb Zachary Williams, 18, of Kennedy Avenue, and Nicholas Ryan Thomas, 20, of Pine Avenue, Mineral Wells, were taken into custody on charges for underage consumption. Peyton Breanne Neely, 21, of Granada Circle, was issued citation for public intoxication and released to a sober party. Two vehicles were towed. Other juvenile subjects were released to their parents when the parents responded to pick them up.

* On Aug. 29, a citation was issued to Joshua Wayne Allen, 26, of Dewey Ridge Road,Walker, for expired motor vehicle inspection.

* On Aug. 29, a citation was issued to Jacob Levi McIntire, 21, of Chateau Hills, for no registration and no operator’s license.

* On Aug. 29, a citation was issued to Talmage Jay Gray, 22, of Grub Road, Marietta, for no insurance and electronic communication device.

* On Aug. 29, a citation was issued to Juanita Jean Miller, 45, of Captain Ames Drive, for driving on suspended license and no insurance.

* On Aug. 29, citations were issued to Beth Ann Witkosky, 38, of Liberty Street, for expired registration, expired motor vehicle inspection and no child restraint.

* On Aug. 30, a deputy was approached by a complainant at the Mineral Wells Elementary School reporting his vehicle was missing from his residence on Mount Vernon Estates. Notice was given out to all agencies and the vehicle was entered in NCIC as stolen. The deputy was advised by central dispatch that they heard the vehicle had been located by Marietta Police Department. The vehicle had been recovered and that four subjects had been taken into custody by the Marietta Police Department.

* On Aug. 30, a deputy responded to Copperhead Road in reference to a burglary. The complainant advised that someone entered her residence and took two jars of change and about $15 to $20 in small bills. The complainant stated she had not seen the change in approximately one week and is unsure the exact time that it was taken.

* On Aug. 30, deputies responded to Lost Pavement Road and Ball School Road in reference to a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival, deputies found the driver with the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. The driver stated he attempted to turn south on Lost Pavement Road while trying to make a phone call on his cell phone, and the next thing he knew he was in a ditch. Brian Lee Townsend, 42, of Pond Creek Road, was taken into custody on charges of second offense driving under the influence and illegal use of electronic device. Townsend was processed then placed in the holding center pending arraignment.

* On Aug. 30, a deputy responded to Campbell Drive in reference to a burglary. The complainants left on vacation and upon returning noticed broken glass and a rock lying on the living room floor of their home. A window was broken and the back door was ajar. Several items appeared to be missing, including custom knives, baseball/basketball cards, Swiss backpack, tennis shoes and two prescription medications. Detective Bureau was notified and incident remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 30, a citation was issued to Kayla S. Higgs, 25, of Starlite Drive, Marietta, for no insurance.

* On Aug. 30, a citation was issued to Mitchell Lee Wright, 32, of Wright Road, Walker, for driving on suspended license and seatbelt violation.
