MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 26:

* On June 25, a summons for animal cruelty was requested for Robert Duane Scoggan, 66, of 18155 Ohio 550, after he locked his chihuahua, Scrappy Doo, in the trunk of his car as punishment. The incident happened in the 700 block of Ninth Street at 1:38 p.m. Scoggan claimed the dog ran away from him and that when he caught him, the dog bit him. Scoggan then put the dog in the trunk and shut the lid as punishment. The dog had been in the trunk over 10 minutes when police arrived. Scrappy Doo was not injured and was turned over to a relative.

* On June 25, Tracy Michael Parker, 21, homeless, was arrested for driving under suspension, failure to control and a municipal court warrant for contempt of court after he wrecked a 2007 Ford Mustang into a backhoe in the 100 block of Euclid Place. Parker was driving on Euclid at 60 to 70 mph when he hit the bucket of a backhoe. Parker fled on foot after the crash but was located by officers with the assistance of a police dog, Edo. Parker was taken to jail. The Mustang received heavy damage and Parker sustained a cut to his head.

* On June 25, officers checked on a report of a fight at 206 S. Fifth St.

* On June 26, Rodrick Domion Pettis, 25, 803 Front St., was arrested at 217 Greene St. for criminal trespass and taken to jail.

* On June 26, Brandon L Gibbs, 21, homeless, was arrested after hiding at the rear of 100 N. Seventh St. on three municipal court warrants for failing to appear for pretrial. Gibbs was located by the police dog and taken into custody without incident. Gibbs was taken to jail.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 25.

* On June 24, Nicholas E. Adams, 49, of 104 Wood St. was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, license suspension, possession of marijuana, and failure to yield turning left at Gilman and Wood streets. Adams refused to submit to a breath test.

* On June 24, Jeremy W. Parks, 32, of 2350 Bender Road was cited for driving with a suspended license on the Williamstown Bridge.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 24:

* On June 24, Todd Cunningham reported a blue and white Ralley brand mountain bike was stolen from 203 Second St.

* On June 23, officers responded to the Marietta Brewery about an intoxicated man causing a disturbance. The man was gone on officers arrival.

* On June 23, an officer checked a report of a dog locked in a vehicle at Wal-Mart. The vehicle had left prior to the officer arriving.

* On June 22, an officer investigated a theft of a customer’s prescription medicine at 301 Greene St.

* On June 21, Michael Dale Valentine, 36, 833 Second St., Apartment 4, was arrested in the 800 block of Second Street for assault and criminal damaging after he assaulted his wife’s girlfriend and threw her phone down the street. Valentine was taken to jail.

* On June 21, Danielle McFadden of 210 S. Fifth St. reported a theft of her prescription medicine from her bedroom.

* On June 21, Mary Elizabeth Patterson, 404 Montgomery St., reported she came home and found a bedroom window broken.

* On June 21, Thurman Lee Smith, 44, of 833 Second St. was arrested at that location for disorderly conduct by intoxication and taken to jail.

* On June 21, officers investigated a disturbance at 111 New St. where a man caused damage to a vehicle. A warrant has been requested for Levi Chandler Flowers, 21, of 708 Ninth St. for criminal damaging.

* On June 21, Derek Scott Thompson, 24, of 810 Best Hollow Road, was arrested in the 100 block of South Fourth Street for OVI and flashing red light after he failed to stop for the light at Third and Greene streets. Thompson was taken to headquarters where he refused to submit to a breath test. Thompson was taken to jail.

* On June 20, Kimberly Dawn Eddy of 844 Greene St. reported receiving threatening text messages on her phone.

* On June 20, Wal-Mart reported the shoplifting of an air conditioner and clothing. When approached by a Wal-Mart employee, the suspects, who have been identified, left the area.

* On June 20, officers responded to a report of a woman in front of Kroger pulling the trigger on a handgun but the gun not firing. Officers found a 34-year-old woman who was having mental issues. The gun was found to be an unloaded BB pistol. The female was eventually taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital for a mental evaluation.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on June 20:

* On June 18, Angela Lynn Tucker, 46, 508 Second St., was arrested at her residence for domestic violence against her husband. The charge stemmed from an incident that happened on June 4. Tucker was taken to jail.

* On June 18, Darla Elaine Schwab, 53, 320 SR266 SE, McConnelsville, was arrested at 128 Frontier Shopping Center for disorderly conduct by intoxication and taken to jail.

* On June 18, Terri Brewer reported a theft of a wallet at 300 Greene St.

* On June 18, Steven D Fulton, 61, homeless, was arrested on a municipal court warrant for disorderly conduct by intoxication and taken to jail.

* On June 18, Christopher Adam Sciance, 24, 112 Maple St., Apartment 1, was arrested in the 100 block of W. Montgomery Street for disorderly conduct by intoxication, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers responded to Montgomery Street on a report of a man trying to fight people in the trailer court. Sciance was found drunk and had in his possession a small amount of marijuana, a digital scale and a marijuana pipe. Sciance was taken to jail to sober up.

* On June 18, Scott Lee Carpenter, 52, 413 Third St., was arrested in the 500 block of Front Street for disorderly conduct by intoxication after he was found driving a riding mower erratically down the sidewalk. Carpenter was given a breath test and tested .075 percent blood-alcohol concentration. Carpenter was taken to jail.

* On June 18, Penny Ann Lane, 62, of 2353 Meadowview Drive, Parkersburg, was arrested for theft at Wal-Mart of $162.81 worth of merchandise by switching price tags and paying a lower price. Lane was taken to headquarters where she confessed to the theft and was released on a personal recognizance bond.

* On June 18, Talon D Feucht, 19, of 852 Greene St., Apartment 3, was arrested on a municipal court warrant for failing to appear for a probation appointment and admitting to using marijuana. Feucht was taken to jail.

* On June 17, an officer investigated an attempted overdose at 46 Acme St.

* On June 17, Regina Lynn Hoover, 50, homeless, was arrested in the 300 block of Second Street for disorderly conduct by intoxication and taken to jail.

* On June 16, an officer checked on a report of an unattended 3-year-old child at 111 Pike St. The child’s parents were located.

* An officer investigated an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a theft of tools at 832 Ridge St. Kay Hansen of this address advised that her car was moved from the driveway to the yard. David Hansen advised someone stole tools from his vehicle. No suspects.

* On June 13, Ellyn Mazzola of Lower Salem reported the theft of a Kel-Tec handgun from her vehicle parked at 504 Pike St.

* On June 14, Corey Lee Smearman, 25, 1006 Third St., was cited for disorderly conduct by intoxication in the 200 block of Greene Street and released to a sober person.

* On June 14, Brandie Ann Lamp, 31, of 1006 Third St., was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication at 220 Greene St. and taken to jail to sober up.

* On June 15, Patricia-Ann Nicole Busch, 23, of 422 Sixth St., Lowell, was arrested at Hadley Lane and Aurora Street for OVI and failure to control a motor vehicle after she ran her car into a ditch in the 1000 block of Hadley Lane. Busch was taken to headquarters where she tested .149 percent blood-alcohol concentration. Busch admitted she was under the influence of alcohol and was later released to a sober person.

* On June 16, Jonathan David Hinton, 42, of 833 Second St., was cited at that address for disturbing the peace.

* On June 10, Dean Franklin Mugrage of 220 Third St. reported a burglary of his apartment where a 52-inch flat screen television was taken.

* On June 10, Brittni C. Messick, 21, of 129 West Seventh St., Williamstown, was arrested on a municipal court warrant for failing to appear for pre-trial on a theft charge. Messick was taken to jail.

* On June 6, Russell Robert Reindl, 54, of 411 Jett Star Drive, Hockingport, Ohio, was arrested in the 100 block of Franklin Street for OVI and violation of a protection order. Reindl was taken to headquarters where he tested .3 percent blood-alcohol concentration and was taken to jail.

* On June 6, Jessica Lynn Stevens, 32, of 10 Browns Road was arrested at Wal-Mart for criminal trespass and theft after she stole $331.15 worth of merchandise. Stevens was later released on a personal recognizance bond.

* On June 6, Carl Newbrough of 242 Pennsylvania Ave. reported a burglary of his apartment where money and prescription medication were taken.

* On June 7, while investigating a possible assault complaint at 736 Greene St., apartment 14, officers observed and seized illegal drugs and paraphernalia.

* On June 8, Joseph Scott Vangorden, 22, of 202 Faye Ave. was arrested at that address for domestic violence and taken to jail.

* On June 5, Astin Oliver, 30, of 501 Second St., Apt. 3, was arrested on a Municipal Court warrant for a parking violation.

* On June 5, Joseph Benjamin Mayle, 30, of 705 Ninth St. was arrested at that address for domestic violence ( a fourth-degree felony) after he slapped and punched his aunt for eating a bag of potato chips. Mayle was taken to jail.

* On June 5, Travis E. Sparks, 31, of 725 7th St. was arrested on a Municipal Court warrant for two counts of theft and taken to jail.

* On June 5, Alan R Spence of 519 Fourth St. reported the theft of his billfold from his garage.

* On June 6, officers investigated an assault complaint at 801 Front St. where Kenneth Wriston Sr., 57, was punched and choked by Kenneth Ray Rogers, 26, of 801 Front St. A warrant for assault has been requested for Rogers who fled the area before officers arrival.

* On June 4, Eric Scott Lightfritz, 32, of 713 Front St. was arrested for domestic violence against his live-in girlfriend and taken to jail.

* On June 3, an officer investigated a breaking and entering at Wayne’s World Computers, 185 Front St., that happened after May 31. Taken were a laptop computer and two desktop computers valued at $1,180.

* On June 3, Mark Hart, 23, of 434 Douglas Ave. was arrested in the 700 block of Third Street for domestic violence. Hart went to 827 Ridge St. where he slapped his ex-wife in the face and stated she deserved it. Hart was taken to jail.

* On June 3, an officer investigated a breaking and entering of a storage unit at 1109 Gilman St. where a Lincoln welder, a tool box, a footstool and an air nailer were stolen.

* On June 2, Steven Douglas Fulton, 61, homeless, was arrested in the 700 block of Quarry Street for disorderly conduct by intoxication and was taken to jail.

* On May 30, Samuel Eric Leal, 34, of 112 Scammel St., Apartment 1, was arrested at that address for domestic violence and unlawful restraint after he assaulted his pregnant live in girlfriend. Leal was taken to jail.

* On May 31, Cory R. Clark, 27, of Sheridan Avenue, was arrested in the 100 block of Front Street for disorderly conduct by intoxication and criminal damaging after he punched and broke out the entry door glass at the Marietta Brewery.

* On May 31, Jordan Stanton Coffman, 21, of 804 Coffman Road, was arrested for OVI and failure to control in the 100 block of Front Street after he struck a parked car. Coffman was taken to headquarters where he tested .179 blood-alcohol concentration.

* On June 1, Dana Michelle Steele, 30, of 502 Wooster St., was arrested at that address for five counts of receiving stolen property. William Joseph Saylor, 34, of 502 Wooster St., was arrested at that address for five counts of complicity to receiving stolen properety. The pair stole a purse containing credit cards from a vehicle at the Aquatic Center and made purchases with the credit cards. Both were taken to jail.

* On June 1, Carl Wayne Wogan, 32, of 5415 Wogan Road, Chesterhill, Ohio, was cited for possession of marijuana in the 1500 block of Greene Street.

* On June 2, Joshua Mark Whistine, 23, of 127 Ward St., was arrested in the 100 block of Ohio Street for disorderly conduct by intoxication and taken to jail.
