MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 29:

* On April 27, the Caldwell Fire Department took an 83-year-old Macksburg resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Depressed over his failing eyesight, the victim attempted to take his own life by shooting himself in the chest with a shotgun, officials said. The victim was calm and alert when emergency personnel arrived and subsequently underwent surgery for non-life threatening injuries. He was last listed in stable condition.

* On April 27, a deputy and the Beverly-Waterford Fire Department were dispatched to a brush fire in the vicinity of 1370 McNeal Road, Waterford. The fire, the origin of which is unknown, covered a large area and spread to possibly three properties. No structures or personal property were damaged.

* On April 28, two deputies along with the Barlow, Dunham and Wesley fire departments responded to a fire at the home of Jeremy G. Snyder, 35, at 3547 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent. Snyder ran an extension cord from inside his home to an outbuilding for an electric supply. When he later exited the outbuilding, he observed flames emanating from where he plugged in the extension cord. While Snyder’s wife and children escaped unharmed, the home was engulfed in flames and a total loss.

* On April 28, Wendy S. Moore, 33, 1002 Grandview Ave., reported sometime overnight unknown suspects broke the front passenger side window of her vehicle and stole her purse. Moore said she had $10 in her purse.

* On April 28, a caller reported a male and a female were involved in a loud argument outside 121 Pine Drive, Little Hocking. The parties admitted being involved in an argument over their recent move and agreed that no physical violence occurred. Consequently, this case was closed as unfounded.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 28:

* On April 24, James A. Berry, 55, 2651 Best Road, Cambridge, was cited for making a U-turn on the interstate near milepost eight on Interstate 77 in Salem Township.

* On April 24, Scott M. Gough, 25, 4400 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, was cited for driving under a suspended license and speeding, 87 mph in a 70 mph zone, near milepost 11 on Interstate 77 in Salem Township.

* On April 24, a 14-year-old Vincent resident was arrested on delinquency charges of rape and eight counts of gross sexual imposition. The teenager’s 8-year-old adoptive sister reported to her mother that day her brother sexually abused her on multiple occasions in the recent past. With the assistance of Washington County Children’s Services social worker Ginger Davey, a deputy interviewed the victim. Questioned about the incidents, the suspect was defiant and unremorseful, officials said. The suspect initially denied sexually assaulting his sister but later allegedly stated he molested her, officials said.

* On April 26, Louise A. Danner, 50, 7400 Dalzell Road, Whipple, reported unknown suspects broke into her unoccupied rental home at 260 Liberty UB Church Road, Whipple. Danner said there was no damage to the home but there were beer cans, clothes and cigarette butts strewn about the residence. Danner recently showed the home to two acquaintances and she suspected they were responsible for entering the home. One of the suspects phoned a friend of Danner and admitted he and the other acquaintance entered the home. Consequently, warrants were requested for Blaze M. Taylor, 18, 30174 Main St., Stafford, Ohio, and Cassandra D. Crooks, 28, 157 Andover Road, Woodsfield, Ohio, for criminal trespassing.

* On April 28, an employee of the Duchess Shop, 100 Main St., Lowell, reported a heavy set female walked out of the store without paying for a case of beer.

* Justin Bryant Bailey, 25, 101 Henry Camp Road Apt. A, St. Marys, was arrested on a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation after he was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 25 at 11:05 a.m.

* Matthew Garth Snyder, 34, 607 Horse Creek Road, Dubois, W.Va., was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence after he was picked up at the Stark County Jail and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 25 at 4:14 p.m.

* Misty Lou Crace, 40, 236 Francis Road, Lowell, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct by fighting in Marietta Municipal Court by the Marietta City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 25 at 5:37 p.m.

* Mark Allen Carey, 50, 205 1/2 Montgomery St., Marietta, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of his probation in Marietta and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 25 at 5:52 p.m.

* Jason Lee Bartimus, 38, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of assault at his residence and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 25 at 9:42 p.m.

* Raven Mariah Stewart, 23, 3586 Tremaine Road, Columbus, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of driving under an FRA suspended license and failure to obey a traffic control device by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 25 at 9:50 p.m.

* Michael Alan Arnold, 28, 150 Harmar St., Marietta, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of littering and operating a vehicle with an inoperable headlight on Putnam Street by the Marietta City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 25 at 11:53 p.m.

* Tyler James Irish, 18, 157 Ivy Lakes Drive, St. Johns, Fla., was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct by intoxication on Putnam Street by the Marietta City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 27 at 12:47 a.m.

* Mark Aaron McIntyre, 32, 123 1/2 Pleasant St., Morgantown, was arrested a felony charge of theft and misdemeanor charges of theft, nonsupport of dependents and violating the terms of his probation in Marietta by the Marietta City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 27 at 2:16 a.m.

* Jacob Matthew Shaffer, 26, Marietta, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of violating the terms of a protection order and failure to appear on Fourth Street by the Marietta City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 27 at 8:05 a.m.

* Tyler Lee Hartley, 20, 107 Pickering St., Parkersburg, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence after he turned himself in and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 28 at 8:24 a.m.

* Maria Eleni Thodos, 25, 363 Barefoot Hollow Road, Middleport, was arrested on felony charges of failure to appear and two counts of possession of drugs after she turned herself in and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 28 at 9:18 a.m.

* Ashley Nicole Cline, 25, 106 Wood St., Marietta, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of her probation at the office of her probation officer and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 28 at 11:58 a.m.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on April 25:

* On April 22, James Perrine, 30, 180 Greene St., Newport, reported he displayed a Piranha pit bike for sale in his yard and he noticed it was missing late the previous evening. The 140cc bike, which is black, red and white, is valued at approximately $1,000.

* On April 22, Sgt. Holbert and Deputy Sheriff Reeder investigated reports of a female who was sitting on railroad tracks in Warren Township and holding bottles of alcohol. The deputies located the suspect, Tina M. Sims, 49, 419 Florence St., Belpre, on the railroad tracks between Veto Road and Briggs Hill Road. Sims appeared to be unsteady on her feet and slurred her speech as she mumbled to herself. Initially, Sims said she was walking to Veto Road but later stated she was walking to Florence Street. The deputies noticed Sims had urinated on herself and that she was in possession of four bottles of vodka. Questioned about her inebriety, Sims stated she had been consuming alcohol all day. Based on their observations, Reeder arrested Sims for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported her to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Sims refused a BAC test.

* On April 22, the Lower Salem Volunteer Fire Department transported a 45-year-old Lower Salem resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to a drug overdose. The victim regained consciousness at the hospital and informed Deputy Sheriff Huffer that she has never ingested heroin but she believed the substance she voluntarily injected that afternoon was heroin. An unknown male that appeared at the woman’s residence provided a syringe, a spoon and a piece of paper with an unknown residue on it to squad members.

* On April 22, Michael Sargent, 61, 2402 Norris Ave., Belpre, reported during the past two days an unknown suspect(s) entered an unoccupied home he is renovating at 246 Lakewood Road, Cutler, and stole four saws, three pairs on tin snips, a drill and an orbital sander. Sargent estimates the total value of the stolen items is in excess of $680.

* On April 24, Frederick G. McKitrick, 32, 29465 State Route 7, Marietta, reported he was away from his residence for an hour and a half that morning and during that time an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and stole more than 80 Xanax pills.

* On April 24, Pamela J. Schweitzer, 55, 9305 State Route 821, Lower Salem, reported she recently discovered her credit card information was used to purchase a Dell computer for $261.51. The computer was shipped to a home in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

* On April 25, Sgt. Mankins requested a summons for Christopher Mills, 26, 331 Lower Parchment Valley Road, Ripley, for telecommunications harassment. Despite being previously ordered to not contact a 55-year-old Fleming resident, Mills sent the victim seven text messages on April 24.

* On April 25, Deputy Sheriff McGilton requested a summons for Josef Brack, 43, 719 Ninth St., Marietta, for failing to confine/restrain a dog. A day earlier, two of Brack’s dogs were observed running loose on Townhall Road in Muskingum Township. Brack was warned four times in the past three months to confine his dogs.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Wednesday and Friday:

* Brent Jason Sidwell, 32, 1045 Ridgewood Blvd., Belpre, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Sidwell was arrested on School House Road by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Timothy Allen Fields, 38, 703 21st St., Vienna, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Fields was arrested on School House Road by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* David Aaron Naylor, 27, 2311 Pike St., Parkersburg, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Naylor was arrested on School House Road by Lt. Rhodes of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Mary Kathleen Cervenka, 41, 2008 Elizabeth St., Apt. B, Belpre, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Cervenka was arrested on Elizabeth Street by Patrolman Holiday of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Ryan Edward Carpenter, 18, 106 Plum St., Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested on Glendale Road by Patrolman Cramer of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Michael Adrian Doak, 26, 403 Lord St., Marietta, for burglary, a felony. Doak was arrested at his residence by Capt. Hawkins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* William Charles Sprouse, 30, 777 W. Ridge St., Columbus, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Sprouse was apprehended by a bondsman in Columbus and processed into the Washington County Jail.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on April 22.

* On April 20, Freddy Staats, 48, 9085 State Route 550, Vincent, reported his live-in girlfriend, Kassie Cress, 44, had been consuming alcohol, was upset and destroyed lawn furniture. Cress subsequently left the residence driving a black vehicle. Deputy Sheriff McConnell encountered Cress’s vehicle on Ohio 550 and conducted a traffic stop. Noticing an odor of alcohol about Cress, McConnell administered field sobriety tests. Following her poor performance on the tests, Cress was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was transported to the Washington County Jail.

* On April 21, the owner of Cunningham Scrap Recycling, 10770 Ohio 550, Vincent, reported he recently discovered a used GMC catalytic converter was missing from his business. The catalytic converter is valued at approximately $97.

* Jamie Lynn Pulse, 45, 5333 Buttermilk Hill, McConnelsville, was arrested for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Pulse was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 21 at 12:21 p.m.

* Ronald Wayne Gilbert, 49, 920 Quarry St., Marietta, was arrested for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Gilbert was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 21 at 4:33 p.m.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 21:

* On April 18, Kelsey Schaad, 20, 2031 Camp Hervida Road, Waterford, reported her wallet was stolen while she left it briefly unattended on the counter of a convenience store in Waterford that afternoon. The individual who took the wallet subsequently contacted Schaad and claimed she took the wallet by mistake. The alleged suspect returned the wallet and its original contents to Schaad later that day.

* On April 18, a deputy responded to a family dispute on Federal Road in Little Hocking. Interviewing the involved parties, the deputy determined the incident was only a verbal argument between two sisters over the division of their ailing mother’s belongings. As a result, this case was closed as unfounded.

* On April 18, Julie L. Coe, 54, 1110 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct by intoxication. Coe was intoxicated when she arrived at an acquaintance’s home on Moody Ridge Road and began banging on a window. When the responding deputy arrived at the scene, he noticed Coe was unsteady on her feet, that her speech was slurred and she had glassy, bloodshot eyes. Coe was placed in the Washington County Jail on April 18 at 10:38 p.m.

* On April 18, Henry N. Benedict, 34, 1481 Benedict Road, Fleming, reported he found fresh damage in one of his fields where the driver of an unknown vehicle had done donuts.

* On April 20, a deputy and the Warren Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a fire outside Eveready Battery at 2036 Blue Knob Road, Marietta. Employees at the company noticed smoke coming from a dumpster that morning and attempted to extinguish it but were unsuccessful. The fire’s origin does not appear to be suspicious in nature and could have been caused by an exploding used aerosol can.

* On April 20, Victoria Henthorn, 29, 865 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, reported her live-in partner, Kristin Noland, 23, slapped her in the face and was destroying items throughout the home. The dispute continued for a short while before Noland fled. Based on the investigation, a warrant was requested for Noland for domestic violence.

* On April 20, a deputy responded to the scene of death of an 88-year-old Lower Salem resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

* Janerio Paul Dilo, 31, 17 W. Shield St., Newark, Ohio, was arrested on a felony charge of being a fugitive from justice and a misdemeanor charge of theft after he was picked up in Licking County and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 18 at 1:07 p.m.

* Corey Perly Pryor, 20, 90 Mitchell Drive, Newport, was arrested on felony charges of safecracking, theft of drugs and two counts of burglary in Newport and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 18 at 2:56 p.m.

* John Shane Bishop, 37, 5020 Ohio 60, Marietta, was arrested on a felony charge of theft on Greenlawn Lane in Lowell and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 18 at 5:33 p.m.

* Jason Robert Asikainen, 41, 16 Christopher Circle, Searcy, Ark., was arrestd on felony and misdemeanor counts of theft after he was picked up at the White County, Ark., Jail and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 18 at 5:48 p.m.

* Larry Gale Thompson Jr., 31, 231 E. Faye Ave., Marietta, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of aggravated menacing at his residence by the Marietta City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 18 at 8:24 p.m.

* Amanda Asia Wallace, 19, 231 E. Faye Ave., Marietta, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of child endangering at her residence by the Marietta City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 19 at 12:10 a.m.

* Shirley Lynn Boswell, 58, 2130 1/2 Murray St., Belpre, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to signal on Washington Boulevard by the Belpre City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 19 at 4:39 a.m.

* Keith Allen Nibert, 52, 210 1/2 Fourth St., Beverly, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct on Ohio Street by the Marietta City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 19 at 8:30 a.m.

* Deanna Marie Bunner, 36, 1572 Elizabeth St. Apt. B, Belpre, was arrested on a felony charge of being a fugitive from justice on Washington Boulevard by the Belpre City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 19 at 1:59 p.m.

* Jared Brent Casdorph, 32, 105 Morningside Drive, Elkview, W.Va., was arrested on a felony charge of possession of drugs on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 19 at 3:52 p.m.

* Jeffrey Chad Mullins, 28, 150 Morningside Drive, Elkview, W.Va., was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 19 at 4:22 p.m.

* Heather Brianne Graham, 27, 105 Morningside Drive, Elkview, W.Va., was arrested on a felony charge of trafficking in drugs and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug abuse instrument on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 19 at 5:50 p.m.

* Kassie Marie Cress, 44, 9085 Ohio 550, Vincent, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated on Ohio 550 in Barlow and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 20 at 4:04 a.m.

* Tiffany Dawn Cone, 30, 58 Cherry St., Sistersville, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct by intoxication on Fifth Street in Beverly and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 20 at 11:32 p.m.

* Benjamin Dale Francis, 34, 307 Clay St., Sistersville, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated on Fifth Street in Beverly and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 20 at 11:53 p.m.

* Jeffrey Scott Dowler, 48, 1740 Mathiot St., Parkersburg, was arrested on a felony charge of insurance fraud after he turned himself in to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 21 at 7:51 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 18:

* On April 17, Caitlin M. Bowman, 21, 77 Dugan Road, Belpre, reported she believes her ex-boyfriend stole her debit card and used it to accrue $622 in charges during March.

* On April 17, deputies and detectives responded to the scene of death of a 47-year-old Belpre resident. Though no foul play is suspected in the man’s death, this case remains under investigation.

* Brian Scott Moore, 38, 879 Davisville Road, Davisville, was arrested on felony charges of theft and failure to appear and four misdemeanor counts of failure to appear after he was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 17 at 1:59 p.m.

* Brittni Cheyenne Messick, 21, 303 Camp Ave., Marietta, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of theft at Wal-Mart by the Marietta City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 17 at 7:10 p.m.

* Garrett Paul Rich, 27, 1225 Coal Run Road, Marietta, was arrested on a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation at the Washington County Courthouse and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 18 at 11:12 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 17:

* On April 16, Connie S. Hagar, 48, 575 Michaelis Road, Marietta, reported she recently noticed an air compressor, two generators, a floor jack and several boxes of hand tools were missing from her garage.

* On April 16, Rodney Wingrove, 64, 10340 Ohio 550, Vincent, reported sometime overnight unknown suspects forcibly entered a pole building on his property. After inspecting the inside of the building, Wingrove determined no property appears to be missing.

* On April 16, Vanessa L. Sciance, 27, 193 Fourth St., Lowell, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Sciance and her live-in boyfriend, Edward Sayger III, 33, were arguing when Sayger said his girlfriend “went crazy.” Sciance proceeded to overturn lawn furniture and threw large rocks through the windows of the residence. As Sciance’s violent tirade continued, she struck Sayger in the mouth and left him with a busted lip. Sciance was placed in the Washington County Jail on April 16 at 10:14 p.m.

* Matthew Allen Rooney, 35, 14350 Ohio 555, Cutler, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of his probation at the office of his probation officer and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 16 at 10:52 a.m.

* Amanda Lynn Blind, 30, 1221 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of her probation in Belpre by the Belpre City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 16 at 11:59 a.m.

* Ricky Dee Hines, 52, 271 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of his probation at the office of his probation officer and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 16 at 2:17 p.m.

* Brian Keith Brum, 50, 1372 Pine Ridge Road, Fleming, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of driving under a suspended license, obstructing official business and failure to control on Waterford Road by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 16 at 4:30 p.m.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – The following reports and charges were released April 14 by Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

* On April 12, Marta Henrie, 55, 550 Rummer Road, Marietta, reported her husband, John, 48, has been violent toward her in the past, threatened to wring her neck and threatened to cause her bodily harm if she did not finish the laundry that day. Mr. Henrie denied his wife’s allegation and instead accused her of being mentally unstable and fabricating the story. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Hunter arrested Mr. Henrie for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail. At the jail, Mr. Henrie tested .318 BAC.

* On April 12, the caretaker for the Ludlow Community Building at the intersection of Community Club Road and Wingett Run Road reported an unknown suspect(s) kicked open a door to the building. No property appears to be missing from the building.

* On April 13, Nathan J. Thomas, 37, 16000 State Route 821, Macksburg, reported the driver of a red pickup truck exited his vehicle on his property and pointed a large silver handgun at him. Thomas said he has not had any recent problems with anyone and did not recognize any of the other individuals in the truck.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday and Monday:

* Jonathan Ross McAllister, 26, 140 Washington Square, Williamstown, for two felony counts of assault and a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of his probation. McAllister was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Scott Matthew Masa, 40, 4131 Stanleyville Road, Whipple, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Masa was arrested on County Road 9 by Deputy Sheriff Huffer and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Jessica Lynn Stevens, 32, 10 Browns Road Apt. B, for theft, a misdemeanor. Stevens was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* John Michael Henrie II, 48, 550 Rummer Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Henrie was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Hunter and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Rocky Sammy Sandlin, 53, 407 Lord St., Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of child endangering. Sandlin was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Harlow of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Curtis Carman Lowers, 42, 6370 N. Buttermilk Hill Road, McConnelsville, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and for misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lowers was arrested on Ohio 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Justin Andrew Garretson, 26, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Garretson was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Schaad of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Rosale Laura Vandall, 31, 1308 Williamson Ave., Apt. 8E, New Matamoras, for obstructing justice, a misdemeanor. Vandall turned herself in to corrections officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Jodie Dawn Miller, 30, 255 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Miller was arrested at the adult probation office by Deputy Sheriff Gerber and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Billy Joe Davis, 28, 19 High St., Vincent, for failure to appear and breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors. Davis was arrested at the courthouse by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 11:

* On April 10, a 34-year-old Belpre resident reported her 14-year-old son did not return home before his 9 p.m. curfew on April 8 and he has yet to return home. The teenager phoned his mother later in the day and came home at approximately 7:45 p.m.

* On April 10, Rose M. Warden, 59, 2738 Barnett Ridge Road, Fleming, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect threw a rock through the left taillight of her Mazda 6 station wagon.

* On April 10, Peggy M. Vess, 60, 1605 Germantown Road, Whipple, reported she was away from her residence between 6:40 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and during that period unknown suspects entered her home and stole $35 in change, a jigsaw and several gold necklaces.

* On April 10, summonses were requested for Richard A. Finley, 52, 680 Main St. Apt. B, Waterford, and his wife, Jacqueline Finley, 42, for disorderly conduct. Both parties appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and admitted being involved in an argument over division of their property. A brief altercation may have taken place but the responding deputy could find no evidence of such an occurrence.

* Dexter Eugene Marks Jr., 25, 902 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, was arrested on a felony charge of being a fugitive from justice in Marietta and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 10 at 12:31 p.m.

* Julie Anne Reynolds, 51, 231 E. Faye Ave., Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation in Marietta by her probation officer and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 10 at 2:54 p.m.

* Anthony Wayne Fletcher, 28, 128 Buells Circle, Marietta, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct by fighting at his residence and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 10 at 8:33 p.m.

* Twila Jean Martin, 39, 101 Del Ray Court, Marietta, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of breach of recognizance at her residence and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 10 at 10:32 p.m.

* Gene Duane Craig, 41, 213 1/2 Elm St., Marietta, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of nonsupport of dependents in Beverly by the Beverly Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 11 at 11:50 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 10:

* On April 9, Michael J. Pryor, 36, 120 Mitchell Drive, Newport, reported he has not seen or heard from his son, Corey Pryor, 20, since the morning of April 4.

* On April 9, a 20-year-old New Matamoras resident reported he received threatening text messages that were accompanied by gruesome photos intended to be threatening. The victim said he was not threatened by the messages and stated he only wanted the 16-year-old suspect to be counseled about his behavior.

* On April 9, William A. Collins, 65, 49995 Ohio 7, New Matamoras, reported during the past week unknown suspects stole a 4-year-old air compressor from his unattached garage. Collins valued the air compressor at $350.

* On April 9, a deputy sheriff and the Grandview, Little Muskingum and Newport fire departments responded to a brush fire near the 18500 block of Washington County Road 9 in Grandview Township. Workers tending a well in the area noticed the fire appeared near an AEP pole approximately 100 yards from the roadway in a wooded area. No property was damaged.

* On April 9, Eddie M. Houseworth Jr., 45, 5805 Millers Run Fallen Timber, Lucasville, Ohio, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a breath alcohol content of more than .08, speeding, operating a vehicle without a license and driving outside the marked lanes of travel. A deputy stopped Houseworth on Ohio 7 near Blue Knob Road after noticing he was traveling well above the speed limit and had crossed over the centerline on multiple occasions. While questioning the driver, the deputy noticed Houseworth slurred his speech and was unsteady on his feet, officials said. Houseworth subsequently performed poorly on a series of field sobriety tests, officials said. At the Washington County Jail, Houseworth tested .106 breath alcohol content. Houseworth was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear when he was placed in the jail.

* On April 10, Holly N. Becker, 18, 2645 Christy Road, Marietta, was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign when turning from Warren Chapel Road onto Ohio 676 in Warren Township.

* James Donald Whitfield, 20, 1905 Oak St., Parkersburg, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of contempt of a court order after he turned himself in to corrections officers and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 9 at 3:29 p.m.

* Danielle Nicole Oliver, 23, 240 Francis Road, Lowell, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of driving under a suspended license and not wearing a seat belt on Francis Road by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 9 at 4:03 p.m.

* Tramaine Lee Coleman, 35, 1206 Barton Place, Canton, was arrested on a felony charge of possession of drugs after he was picked up at the Stark County Jail and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 9 at 5:13 p.m.

* Jon Lee Barker Jr., 23, 126 Walker St., Marietta, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of theft and criminal trespassing on Harmar Drive by the Marietta City Police Department and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 9 at 6:05 p.m.

* Anthony Donnel Sims, 21, 4 Van Buren St., Zanesville, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of driving under a suspended license, speeding, possession of drugs, not wearing a seat belt and violating the terms of his probation on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 9 at 11:49 p.m.

* Christopher Nelson Kirk, 29, 711 Water St., Smithburg, Pa., was arrested on misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and speeding on Ohio 60 in Waterford by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and placed in the Washington County Jail on April 10 at 2:49 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on April 9.

* On April 6, Deputy Sheriff McKee arrested Wendy R. Sudnik, 37, 1001 Greene St., Apt. B, Marietta, for domestic violence. Sudnik was visiting her sister at 95 Sandhill Road, Marietta, when she angrily confronted her mother, Marta K. Henrie, 55, 550 Rummer Road, Marietta. During the confrontation, Sudnik grabbed and twisted Henrie’s right arm, which she recently broke and was in a cast from her wrist to her shoulder. Henrie stated Sudnik’s actions caused her great pain and that she feared for her safety.

* On April 7, the principal of Frontier High School reported a 14-year-old student urinated in a classroom trash can during one of his classes on April 4. The New Matamoras resident’s teacher denied the teenager’s repeated requests to use the restroom because the student routinely uses the excuse to roam the school’s hallways for extended periods of time. In addition to being given a five-day suspension, the teenager will be summonsed to juvenile court for being delinquent.

* On April 8, Jonathan H. Carpenter, 25, 813 Congress Road, Belpre, reported sometime overnight someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS unit, a .380 handgun and CDs. The stolen property has an approximate value of $560.

* On April 8, the caretaker for the residence of Jack Briesemeister, 46, at 2080 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, reported he recently discovered a shotgun and a handgun were missing from the home.

* On April 8, Ralph Anderson, 68, 4454 Buchanan Road, Waterford, reported since last November someone stole a .45 handgun from his residence.

* Anthony Charles Smith, 28, 877 Dry Run Road, Parkersburg, was arrested for theft, a misdemeanor. Smith turned himself in to a bondsman and was processed into the Washington County Jail on April 8 at 11:50 a.m.

* Matthew Allen Rooney, 35, 14350 State Route 555, Cutler, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Rooney was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 8 at 12:25 p.m.

* Lonnie Merle Starcher, 46, 325 Stimpson Ave., Athens, was arrested on two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct by intoxication. Starcher was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 9 at 12:43 a.m.

MARIETTA – The Washington County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports on April 7.

* On April 3, Shelly Lahai, 40, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 7, Marietta, reported an acquaintance took her mobile phone and ignored her repeated requests to return it. Deputy Sheriff Underwood questioned the alleged suspect and concluded the incident was a misunderstanding. Underwood obtained the phone and returned it to Lahai.

* On April 3, Deputy Sheriff Underwood and the Watertown Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire outside the home of Curtis L. Baughan, 61, at 42 Woodford Lane, Waterford. A pickup owned by Baughan’s employer, B&W Painting, caught fire and was fully involved when the fire department arrived. The fire appears to have originated in the bed of the truck in the electric starter for a gasoline engine. The fire caused minor damage to Baughan’s Dodge pickup that was parked near the burning vehicle.

* On April 4, Deputy Sheriff White responded to the scene of death of a 57-year-old Lowell resident. Though the cause of the man’s death appears to be accidental, this case remains under investigation.

* On April 4, Chris Henderson, 34, 210 Beardsley Road, Lowell, reported he was away from his residence for two hours that morning and during that time someone entered his home and stole his wallet and bank card. Henderson recovered his wallet and bank card but was missing $165 and a personal check to his landlord.

* On April 6, Sgt. Mankins issued a citation to Ashley M. Williams, 26, 834 Masonic Park Road, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license. Mankins stopped Williams on Waterford Road near Husk Road in Muskingum Township.

* Brandon Lee Gibbs, 21, 827 Ridge St., Marietta, was arrested for felony charges of violating the terms of a protection order and criminal trespassing and misdemeanor charges of theft, disorderly conduct and obstructing official business. Gibbs was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 3 at 12:42 p.m.

* Dylan James Roush, 21, 990 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, was arrested for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor, by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 3 at 6:51 p.m.

* Jacqueline Darlene Steele, 25, 505 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Steele was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 4 at 11:19 a.m.

* Anthony Ray Hart, 33, 68 1/2 N. Seventh St., McConnelsville, was arrested for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Hart was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Pinkerton of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 4 at 4:08 p.m.

* Jeffrey Dean Parker, 48, 3730 State Route 26, Marietta, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Parker was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 4 at 11:21 p.m.

* Wendy Rosalia Sudnik, 37, 1001 Greene St., Apt. B, Marietta, was arrested for a felony charge of domestic violence and a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of her probation. Sudnik was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff McKee and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 6 at 9:05 p.m.

* Braden Russell Olexo Jr., 20, 118 Martha Drive, St. Clairsville, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and speeding, both misdemeanors, on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 3 at 11:45 p.m.
