MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on April 28:

* On April 27, Jacob Matthew Schaffer, 26, last known address of 330 Fourth St., was arrested at that location for violation of a TPO and was taken to jail.

* On April 27, officers investigated a report of a 5-year-old boy found playing in the 400 block of Fort Harmar Drive. The child had a small cut on his foot from stepping on a rock. The parents were located 45 minutes later. This investigation continues.

* On April 25, Bridgeport Equipment reported a white male stole merchandise from the store and fled after being stopped by an employee.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on April 25:

* On April 24, an officer was dispatched to Van Bergen Avenue in reference to a parent having problems with a 16-year-old daughter.

* On April 24, officers were dispatched to 915 Phillips St. on a domestic violence complaint. Both parties were spoken with and no charges will be filed.

* On April 23, an officer investigated a theft of a grill from the porch of 307 Harmar St.

* On April 23, Amanda A. Wallace, 19, 231 Faye Ave., was arrested on a municipal court warrant for violating the terms of her probation.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on April 23:

* On April 22, Luther Hall, 22, of 710 Front St., Apt. 12, was arrested for domestic violence against his wife after he hit her in the head and body and choked her. Hall fled his residence, but later turned himself in at the police department after being contacted by an officer. Hall was taken to jail.

* On April 22, Ralph Lee Baker Jr., 46, 400 Phillips St., was arrested at that location for domestic violence after he shoved his live-in girlfriend onto an end table, causing the table to break and injuring the victim’s back. Baker has a previous conviction for domestic violence, elevating this charge to a felony of the fourth degree. Baker was taken to jail.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on April 22:

* On April 21, John Michael Henrie II, 48, of 805 Fifth St. was arrested for OVI. Henrie was released to a sober individual.

* Sandra Jean Pidgeon of Jeruselem, Ohio, reported a theft of $300 at 802 Wayne St. The money was returned and no charges were filed.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on April 21:

* April 18, Amanda Asia Wallace, 19, 231 E. Faye Ave., was arrested at her home on a charge of endangering children. Wallace was taken to jail until she sobered up.

* April 18, officers conducted a pedestrian safety detail in the 100 block of Front Street. Brian Jennings McFarland, 22, of 120 Woodcrest Drive was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

* April 18, Larry Gale Thompson Jr., 31, 231 E. Faye Ave., was arrested at his home for aggravated menacing and taken to jail.

* April 19, Chad Eric Lee Price, 23, 4767 Hannan Trace Road, Patriot, Ohio, was arrested for OVI and marked lanes in the 200 block of Second Street. Price was processed and released to a sober person.

* April 20, an officer investigated a woman’s report her boyfriend stole her keys, purse and cell phone and then left her at Wal-Mart. Deanne Lynn Markey, 40, of 614 Pearl St., Belmont, W.Va., will be summonsed into court for falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor.

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following reports on April 17:

* On April 17, Brittni Cheyenne Messick, 21, of 129 W Seventh St., Williamstown, was arrested at Wal-Mart for theft of clothing, air fresheners, an FM transmitter and automotive accessories of $227.06. Messick told an officer that she had no money and had taken the items so her daughter would have something for Easter. Messick was taken to jail.

* Officers responded to 116 Theis Ave. in reference to a possible overdose involving canned air. A 23-year-old male from State Route 7 was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital after suffering severe issues from using the canned air.

* On April 17, officers investigated the death of a 55-year-old man at his apartment at Jaycee Estates, 1689 Colegate Drive. There were no signs of foul play and the man’s death appears to be from health-related causes.

* On April 15, Timothy N Carver, 50, 429 Strecker Lane, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear at pretrial and a warrant for driving under suspension, expired plates and fictitious plates.

* On April 15, Michael R Sobieski, 32, 784 Greene St., was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital for OVI

MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Department released the following report on April 15.

* On April 14, Dallas Wiley Farnsworth, 40, of 110 Browns Alley was arrested in the 100 block of N. Seventh Street for obstructing official business, disorderly conduct by intoxication, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana. Farnsworth was released on bond.

* On April 10, officers checked on a report of a man smoking marijuana in a vehicle on the parking lot at 729 Glendale Road. The vehicle was gone upon the officer’s arrival.

* On April 10, Louise Myers of Faye Avenue reported harassment by her ex-boyfriend.

* On April 10, officers investigated an assault on two Marietta Fire Department rescue squad members at the McDonald’s inside Wal-Mart. A squad had been summoned to the McDonald’s after a man fell out of a chair and struck his head, rendering him unconscious. As squad members were attending to the man, he came to and started punching and scratching the squad members. Upon police arrival, the man was handcuffed and taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital. Charges are pending for the assaults on the squad members.

* On April 6, Michael Anthony Offenberger, 28, 218 Pennsylvania Ave., was charged for a theft stemming from Fantasy 2 Flesh on March 9.

* On April 7, Kimberly Ann Fortney of St. Marys Avenue reported her Chevrolet Camaro had profanity scratched into the driver’s side door on April 1.

* On April 8, Anthony Charles Smith, 28, of 877 Dry Run Road, Parkersburg, was served a warrant at the Washington County Jail for a theft from Wal-Mart that happened on Feb. 5.

* Officers checked on a Washington Square woman that was threatening to kill herself. The female was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital for a mental evaluation.
