Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on Aug. 28:

* Christopher McGuire, 29, Vienna, pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic assault and was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.

* Shawn Stephens, 43, 5527 Walker Road, Walker, pleaded guilty to a charge of procuring gas, water or electricity by device with intent to defraud; he was sentenced to one year probation and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jonathan Bowersock, 28, 1253 Gihon Road Apartment A, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of no insurance and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on charge of expired registration. He was assessed $370.25 in court costs and fines.

* Kenton Barker, 22, 615 17th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of improper use of registrations and as part of a plea agreement he was dismissed on the charges of driving a motor vehicle without a valid ID and driving without required security. He was assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines.

* Ricky Lockhart, 45, 22 Short St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, methamphetamine, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail and assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines.

* Corey Hauge, 28, 2528 Bull Run Road, Waverly, was arraigned on a charge of driving while suspended and was released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Ray Burdette, 48, homeless, was arraigned on a charge of disorderly conduct and obstruction; she was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Jordan Miller, 25, 32 Herring Lane, Parkersburg, was arraigned on the charges of improper registration and second offense DUI; he was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Levi Grove, 25, 1816 1/2 33rd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of prohibited person in possession of a firearm and public intoxication; he was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Billie Dye, 41, 128 19th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting, a second offense. Dye was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation, ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the victim and was assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines.

* Charles Turner, 58, 2007 1/2 19th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of failure to register and was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Megan Carpenter, 25, 4822 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was sentenced to 48 hours in jail with credit for 13 hours and was assessed $345.25 in court costs and fines. As part of a plea agreement she was dismissed on a charge of child neglect with risk of injury.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases Aug. 30:

* Ryan Walters, 35, 1805 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of towing a skier or tuber after sunset, no flotation devices for child under 13 and no type four throwable. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Jerimiah Cross, 26, 815 14th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and was dismissed on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was sentenced to six months of jail and assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Amber Lott, 25, 18 Lonesome Pine Lane, Elizabeth, was arraigned on the charge of possession of a controlled substance and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Karissa Mahoney, 23, 4013 11th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of DUI and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.
