Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on June 7:

* Robert Kerns, 65, 734 Oak Hill Road, Elizabeth, pleaded no contest to driving while suspended and expired registration. He was assessed $450.50 in court costs and fines.

* Tina Schwaigert, 41, 1866 Greathouse Road, Williamstown, pleaded no contest to a charge of no throwable and was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.

* Shawn Ragland, 34, 942 Leslie Road, Charleston, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, marijuana, and was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Cameron Sheets, 20, 5011 Elk River Road Apartment D, Elkview, W.Va., pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, marijuana, and was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Eric Hardman, 27, 122 Rolling Hills Court, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of expired registration, two counts of fraudulent motor vehicle inspection and one charge of driving while suspended or revoked, a second offense. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Tkeisha Jones, 26, 279 Dickens Drive, Suite 4, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to charges of driving while suspended or revoked and improper window tint. She was assessed $630.75 in court costs and fines.

* Kenton Ryan Barker, 21, 615 17th St., Parkersburg was arraigned on charges of improper registration, no operator’s and no insurance. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Jesse McDaniel, 19, 828 Lakeview Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of underage DUI and obstruction; he was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Carrie Steakley, 22, 1609 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of child neglect creating risk of injury after leaving her child in a situation she knew would become hostile.
