Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on May 2:

* Michael Kerns, 24, 1209 Paden St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver, heroin, and is being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.

* Cassandra Curtis, 28, 1209 Paden St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver, heroin, and is being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 surety bond.

* Tyler Ludwig, 31, 400 Walnut Grove, Washington, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, heroin, and public intoxication. He was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Shane Modisitt, 45, 100 West 4 and a Half St., Williamstown, pleaded guilty to the charges of driving while revoked for a DUI and was sentenced to 30 days on home confinement and assessed $260.25 in court costs and fines.

* Harold Brooks II, 43, 33345 State Route 7, Pomeroy, had his preliminary hearing waived on a charge of soliciting to a minor by a computer. He was actually talking to an undercover officer using the SKOUT app, who was posing as a 13-year-old girl. Brooks allegedly messaged the person wanting to meet up for explicit activities. His case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Larry Hasley, 40, 1333 Lynn St., Parkersburg, had his preliminary hearing waived on a charge of manufacturing, delivering or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance. His case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Tyler Walcott, 23, 47 Sweet Apple Road, Vincent, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, marijuana, truancy and driving while suspended. He was released on a $600 personal recognizance bond.
