Wood County Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were heard in Wood County Circuit Court on Nov. 14.

In Judge J.D. Beane’s Court:

* Joshua Cole Kinney, 27, in custody, pleaded guilty to robbery in the second degree and will be sentenced on Jan. 18, 2019 at 9 a.m.

* Joshua R. Burchard, 28, in custody, who was indicted on charges of sexual assault in the second degree, third-degree sexual assault, sexual abuse in the first degree, four counts of sexual assault in the first degree and attempted third-degree sexual assault, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on April 9, 2019.

* Joshua Taylor, 37, in custody, who was indicted on charges of fleeing from an officer while under the influence of alcohol, domestic battery and driving while license revoked for driving under the influence of alcohol, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on Jan. 8, 2019.

* Antonio Manuel DeFreitas, 22, in custody, who was indicted on two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of entering without breaking, burglary, two counts of petit larceny and breaking and entering an automobile, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on March 26, 2019.

* Matthew J. Hunter, 44, in custody, who was indicted on a charge of burglary, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on Jan. 8, 2019.

* Landry B. Smith, 33, in custody, who was indicted on charges of robbery in the second degree, conspiracy to commit robbery, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit grand larceny and three counts of battery, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on Feb. 26, 2019.

* Audrey D. Thompson, 22, in custody, who was indicted on charges of robbery in the second degree, conspiracy to commit robbery and grand larceny, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on Feb. 26, 2019.

In Judge Robert Waters’ Court:

* Amanda Massey, in custody, will be sentenced on a charge of grand larceny on Dec. 20.

* Terry Ullum, age unavailable, in custody, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and was sentenced to one year with 10 days credit in the West Virginia Department of Corrections.

* Nicole Parsons, 27, in custody, who was indicted on charges of malicious assault and failure to appear, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on Jan. 9, 2019.

* Harold Stump, 34, in custody, who was indicted on four counts of fraudulent use of an access device, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on March 19, 2019.

* Joshua Douglas Luffman, 38, in custody, who was indicted on two counts of sexual assault in the second degree, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on March 19, 2019.

* John Patrick Howerton, 18, in custody, who was indicted on two counts of use of obscene matter with intent to seduce a minor and a charge of soliciting a minor via computer, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on Jan. 23, 2019.

* Johnny L. Frame, 34, in custody, who was indicted on four counts of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle, four counts of grand larceny and four counts of unlawful taking of a vehicle, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on Feb. 20, 2019.

* Brenda L. Dailey, 39, 29 Fall Run Road, Walker, who was indicted on charges of attempted burglary and two counts of burglary, pleaded not guilty and will begin trial on Jan. 9, 2019.
