Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled Wednesday in Wood County Magistrate Court:

* Jeremy Randall Adkins, 43, 1716 19th St., Parkersburg, had a charge of being a fugitive from another state bound over to the Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration. No bond was set. Adkins is being held.

* Coleman Glen Jordan, 24, 2701 Canterbury St., Euless, Texas, was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence (DUI) and having no insurance. Jordan was released on $2,000 bond.

* Walter Charles Brown, 51, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI, sentenced to eight hours in jail — time served and fined $335.25.

* Joshua M. Watkins, 30, 121 Rustle Road, Chester, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery. Watkins was released on $2,000 bond.

* Michele Lee Meyhew, 35, 1026¢ Lynn St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fraudulent use of an access device. Meyhew was released on $3,000 bond.

* John Baker, 30, 4506 Butler St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of assault and public intoxication. Baker was held on $2,000 bond.

* Corrie Adam Herman, 28, 201 West Wood Way, Washington, was arraigned on charges of second offense driving on a suspended license, having no insurance, having improper registration, having a fraudulent Motor Vehicle Inspection (MVI), failure to maintain the vehicle in the lane they were in and operating an unregistered vehicle. Herman was released on $4,000 bond.

* Austin C. Smith, 21, 3510 Burk St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving on a suspended license and fined $260.25.

* Kelly Turner, 199 Daisy Lane, Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to making and issuing worthless checks and ordered to pay $20 fines, $160.25 in court costs and $1,103.25 in restitutions to Astorg Body Shop.

* Micah Stephen Christian, 37, 406 Cypress Drive #1, Charleston, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a suspended license and fined $260.25.

* Eugene Allen Nelson III, 34, 1501 Cale St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $260.25. A charge of fraudulent MVI was dismissed.

* Racheal Marie Turner, 27, 95 Sandhill Road, Marietta, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed.

* David Edward Powers, 37, 916 Nash St., Williamstown, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed.

* Richard F. Pence Jr., 65, 1300 23rd St., Vienna, had charges of driving on a suspended license and shoplifting dismissed.

* Gary James Smith, 53, 118 Forest Hills Road, Parkersburg, had a charge of permitting livestock to run at large dismissed.

* Heather Menette Chipps, 44, 1013 East 12th St., Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed.

* Tristan Lee Cumberledge, 34, 1106 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violating a protective order, sentenced to one day in jail and fined $410.25.

* Jesse Scott Brooks, 36, 122 Harmar St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to obstruction, sentenced to 16 days in jail — time served and fined $160.25.

* Richard Brock Heffelfinger, 28, c/o 210-11 Avery Court, Parkersburg, had a charge of obstruction dismissed.

* Michael Anthony Laurnoff, 54, 571 6th St., Parkersburg, had charges of DUI, speeding, defective equipment and having no proof of insurance dismissed.

* Jared Michael Adkins, 26, 3603 4th Ave., Vienna, had probable cause found on a warrant for possession with intent. The case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Aug. 16:

* John Patrick Maudlin, 37, 130 ¢24th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of embezzlement, and bond was set at $25,000 surety.

* Skyla Dawn Andrews, 18, 1201 Mary St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of assault on a police officer, obstruction and public intoxication. She was released on a $2,000 bond.

* R U Outavit, 68, 1200 15th St., Apt. 205, Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of violating a temporary personal safety order. He was released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Jeffery Sky Wood, 28, 351 Spence Road, Belpre, pleaded guilty to fleeing from and obstructing an officer. He was sentenced to seven days, already served, and assessed $320.50 in fines and court costs.

* Gary D. Lauderman, 32, 210 Cedar St., Marrietta, pleaded guilty to improper registration and failure to produce operator’s license. Charges for no insurance and reckless driving were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. He was assessed $340.50 in fines and court costs.

* Stephen William Gandee Jr., 40, 4409 Sayer Ave., Parkersburg, had his home confinement revoked on a driving under the influence charge. He was sentenced to 45 days in jail, with credit for time served.

* Carl E. Taylor, 57, 916 Egypt Run Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to having a fraudulent motor vehicle inspection. He was assessed $165.25 in fines and court costs.

* Jack Edward Willey III, 31, 910 Cemetery St., Apt. 6, Weston, W.Va., pleaded guilty to DUI, which was reduced from second-offense DUI as part of a plea agreement. He was sentenced to eight days in jail, already served, and assessed $815.25 in fines and court costs.

* Jedidiah Daniel Stutler, 20, 131 Holley Drive, Elizabeth, waived preliminary hearings on six charges of forgery/uttering. His bond was reduced from $6,000 cash to $5,000 surety.

* Levi D. Hoce, 18, 4925 Slate Creek Road, Rockport, was arraigned on charges of reckless driving and loud exhaust and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Sean Thomas Durnell, 21, 1515 Rayon Drive, Apt. B, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to knowingly providing a structure or place for the use of controlled substances by others. A charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. Durnell was sentenced to nine months in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation and 50 hours of community service.
