Wood Magistrate
PARKERSBURG — On June 28 the following reports were released by Wood County Magistrate Court:
* James Clarence Nelson, 35, 59 Willowbrook Drive, Apt. 5, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Scott Lee Carpenter, 56, 415 1/2 Third St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to a driving on a suspended or revoked license for DUI charge, was sentenced to six months home confinement and was assessed $160.25 in fines and court fees.
* Brent Michael Miller, 25, No. 5 Lair of II Road, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to a citation for an expired motor vehicle inspection and was assessed $165.25 in fines and court fees.
* Chad E. Eddy, 43, 2404 Belmont Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a citation for an expired motor vehicle inspection and was assessed $165.25 in fines and court fees.
* Joshua Caine Varney, 35, 406 Harpold St., Ravenswood, was arraigned on a speeding citation, 58 mph in a 45 mph zone, and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Joshua Steven Wherry, 28, 200 Sharon St., Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a cruelty to animals charge and was released on a $5,000 surety bond.
* A charge of domestic battery against Darren Ward Gates, 53, Parkersburg, was dismissed because he was not served with the warrant in a timely manner.

PARKERSBURG — On June 29 the following reports were released by Wood County Magistrate Court:
* Morgan Ray Gabbert, 30, Parkersburg, was arraigned in Monongalia County for Wood County on a charge of domestic battery and is in custody in lieu of a $1,000 cash or surety bond.
* Jonathan Luke Quick, 27, 909 Tefft St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended or revoked license for miscellaneous reasons and no insurance and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Rachel Farrah Walters, 36, 612 Putnam St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a petit larceny charge and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Sammy Davis II, 40, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Anthony Charles Smith, 33, 509 Kanawha St., Apt. 3, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of counterfeit currency and is in custody in lieu of a $500 cash bond.
* Linda Michelle Greathouse, 49, 405 Reed Road, Marietta, pleaded no contest to a citation for selling tobacco to a minor and was assessed $170.25 in fines and court fees.
* William Paul Fluharty, 25, 3128 Harris Highway, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and was released on a $1,000 surety bond.
* Two citations for second-offense trespassing, one citation for shoplifting and one citation for second-offense shoplifting against James Lee Early, 37, 38 Township Road, Proctorville, Ohio, were dismissed because they are more than one year old and no warrants have been issued.
