Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports June 18:

* Lenny Ray Cordova, 44, care of 936 North Los Robles Ave., Pasadena, Calif., was arraigned on charges of third-offense DUI and attempting to flee while DUI and released on a $7,500 bond.

* Amanda Lynn Phillips, 28, of 11638 Staunton Turnpike, Walker, was arraigned on two counts of uttering and released on a $7,500 bond.

* Jesse Carl Hesson, 24, of 704 Elm St., Belpre, was arraigned on charges of first-degree robbery, kidnapping, wanton endangerment, grand larceny and presentation of a firearm during commission of a felony. Bond will be set in Wood County Circuit Court because some of the charges are capital offenses. Hesson was also arraigned on counts of possession of a controlled substance, meth, with intent to deliver; third-offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous; failure to maintain control; leaving the scene of an accident with injury; and no proof of insurance. Bond was set at $27,000 on those charges.

* David Michael Carpenter, 24, of 2704 DuPont Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of petit larceny and released on a $500 bond.

* Adam Scott Massie, 36, of Ona, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of domestic assault and public intoxication and released on a $600 bond.

* Michael Allen Bailey, 21, of 2503 Beverly St., Apt. 10D, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and released on a $500 bond.

* Michael Paul Surface, 43, of 701 Race St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense driving on a license revoked for DUI and released on a $500 bond.

* Daniel Jay Murphy, 38, of 50498 1/2 Bigley Ridge Road, Long Bottom, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of fraudulent schemes greater than $1,000 and battery and bond was set at $5,500.

* Robert William Heiden, 24, of4905 1/2 Second Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of receiving/transferring a stolen vehicle and released on a $7,500 bond.

* Timothy Paul Reisinger, 36, of 1285 New England Ridge Road, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Stephanie Dawn Hall, 39, of 316 Del-Ray Drive, St. Albans, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct and released on a $200 bond.

* Ryan Matthew Dailey, 35, of 2608 Avery St., Apt. 25, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of transferring/receiving stolen property and was released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Carrie Renee Priest, 35, of 600 30th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of kidnapping, wanton endangerment and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. Bond will be set in circuit court because some of the charges are capital offenses.

* Daemontae Javar Brown, 22, of 1333 Renaissance Circle, Charleston, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, less than 15 grams; obstructing; expired registration; and defective equipment and was released on a $700 bond.

* Eric Jason McCumbers, 46, of 1801 Avery St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of robbery. Bond is to be set in Wood County Circuit Court.

* Audrey Diane Thompson, 22, of 40 Pioneer Circle, Apt. 205, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing and released on a $500 bond.

* Anthony Michael Sharpe, 27, of 72 Pleasant View Drive, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting, and bond was set at $500 cash.

* Teddy L. Smith, 56, of 1796 Butcher Bend Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded no contest to fraudulent motor vehicle inspection and was assessed $165.25 in fines and court costs.

* Thaddeus Scott Piggott, 23, of 2707 Hampton St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of reckless driving and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Samantha Sue Roberts, 21, of 27 Hill St., Pine Grove, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of expired registration and no insurance and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* The state withdrew its motion to revoke unsupervised probation for Suzette Grogan, 53, of 1500 Spring St., Parkersburg.

* Joshua Wayne Clark, 32, care of the Ohio County Correctional Center, 1501 Eoff St., Wheeling, pleaded guilty to petit larceny and was sentenced to 30 days in jail to run concurrent with his current sentence and assessed $359.25 in fees and restitution.

* Nicholas Cole Owens, 20, of 121 Chateau Hills, Parkersburg, was found not guilty of destruction of property in a bench trial.

* A charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver was dismissed against Carl Dennis Robison, 24, of 235 Johnson Road, Marietta, at the request of the state because he’d pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor on the same underlying facts.

* Keith Mitchell Saunders Jr., 31, of 906 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to one count of brandishing deadly weapons and a second count was dismissed per a plea agreement. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation, and assessed $185.25 in fines and court costs.

* Paul Wesley Boling, 40, of 918 33rd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was assessed $1,238.46 in fines, court costs and restitution. He was also ordered to pay a $1,368 civil penalty to Wal-Mart. As part of a plea agreement, one count each of shoplifting and contributing to the delinquency of a minor were dismissed. In a separate case, he pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting and was assessed $720.23 fines, court costs and restitution.

* Jon Marc Carpenter, 44, of 1003 28th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI, with blood-alcohol level less than 0.15; was sentenced to three hours in jail, already served; and assessed $360.25 in fines and court costs.

* Brian Gene Swiger, 41, of 26 Rosebud St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to third-offense trespassing and was assessed $185.25 in fines and court costs.

* Charges of expired motor vehicle inspection and no proof of insurance were dismissed against Emily Ezell, 35, of 1315 16th St., Parkersburg, after she had her vehicle inspected and provided proof of her insurance.

* A charge of driving on a license revoked for DUI was dismissed with prejudice against Amanda Faith Atkinson, 41, of 4200 Eighth Ave., Vienna, because the officer was not present. The state did not object.

* Dustin Lee Sole, 33, of 276 Westover Lane, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to second-offense DUI, was sentenced to six months home confinement and was assessed $455.25 in fines and court costs. A charge of left of center was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Samantha Nichole Miller, 26, of 50 Defiance Ave., Lot 30, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to false pretense, was sentenced to 30 days in jail suspended for one year of unsupervised probation and was assessed $260.25 in fines, court costs and restitution.

* Kyle Dalton Echard, 24, of 412 Ohio Ave., Harrisville, pleaded guilty to shoplifting; was assessed $238.23 in fines, court costs and restitution; and was banned from Wal-Mart.

PARKERSBURG — On June 19 the following reports were released by the Wood County Magistrate Court:

* Jessica Lee Carpenter, 41, 1705 Rayon Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a shoplifting charge, was sentenced to 12 months home confinement and was assessed $180.25 court fees with a civil penalty of $1,680 for one victim and $893.45 to the other. Charges of third-offense shoplifting and shoplifting were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

* John Burton Pitts, 69, 81 W. Park Way, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license for miscellaneous reasons and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court fees.

* Larry Scott Stanley, 29, 2007 Elizabeth Pike, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to a charge of second-offense DUI, was sentenced to six months home confinement and was assessed $520.50 in fines and court fees.

* Steve A. Wayne, 39, 534 Dennison Run Road, Upperglade, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license for miscellaneous reasons and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court fees.

* Amanda Renee Martinez, 31, 1205 Wilbur St., Apt. 13, Parkersburg, was arraigned on an obstructing an officer charge and was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Mickey Joe Simmons Jr., 39, 1408 King St., Belpre, was arraigned on nine counts of violation of a protective order and was released on a $9,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Rebecca Dwight Hersman, 68, 2314 Morningside Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of striking an unattended vehicle and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Justin M. Hill, 31, 175 Wynn Wood Drive, Marietta, pleaded guilty to a charge of first-offense child neglect creating a risk of bodily injury, was sentenced to six months in jail suspended for one year unsupervised probation and was assessed $160.25 in fines and court fees. The original charge of gross neglect of a child creating substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* A worthless check charge against Amanda Jo Roberts, 1205 17th St., Parkersburg, was dismissed after the check was paid and was assessed $277.44 in court fees and restitution.

PARKERSBURG — On June 21 the following reports were released by the Wood County Magistrate Court:

* Tyler Levi Mace, 24, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Jessica Lee Carpenter, 41, 1705 Rayon Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of second-offense shoplifting, was sentenced to 12 months home confinement and was assessed $180.25 in fines and court fees.

* Elisha Michael Amos, 35, 121 Walnut St., Belpre, was arraigned on an obstructing an officer charge and is in custody in lieu of a $1,500 surety bond.

* A charge of malicious assault against Daniel Lee Frame, 35, 813 Eighth St., House to Home, Parkersburg, was dismissed without prejudice since the alleged victim did not appear.

* A citation for no insurance and improper registration against Todd G. Malone, 27, 1023 Limestone Road, St. Marys, was dismissed when proof of insurance and registration were shown.

* A citation for expired motor vehicle inspection against Jessica Valez, 33, 157 Dickens Drive, Suite 1, Mineral Wells, was dismissed when the motor vehicle inspection was obtained.
