Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — On Feb. 28 the following reports were released by Wood County Magistrate Court:

* Terry L. Ringer, 53, 910 38th St., Vienna, was arraigned on 10 counts of engaging in business after revocation of business franchise registration and six counts of engaging in business without a business franchise certificate and was released on a $16,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael Dale Barker, 52, 1030 Quincy St., Apt. 1, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of child neglect with risk of injury and was released on a $20,000 surety bond.

* Billy Vance Hacker, 45, 4324 N. Calhoun Highway, Grantsville, was arraigned in Wirt County for Wood County on charges of breaking and entering, grand larceny, destruction of property and shoplifting and is in custody in lieu of a $150,000 bond.

* Justin M. Hill, 31, 175 Wynnwood Drive, Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of gross child neglect and was released on a $10,000 bond.

* A charge of violation of a protective order against Ana F. Farnsworth, 61, Parkersburg, was dismissed with prejudice because the alleged victim no longer wished to pursue the charges.

* A charge of violation of a protective order against Dana Eugene Farnsworth, 61, Parkersburg, was dismissed with prejudice because the alleged victim no longer wished to pursue the charges.

* Charges of possession of a firearm by a prohibited individual and three counts of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription were dismissed against Mark Matthew Smith, 28, 2104 12th Ave., Parkersburg, because the charges will be taken over by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

* A charge of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription against Ryan Charles Clark, 26, 900 1/2 Rayon Drive, Parkersburg, was dismissed because he brought in a proof it was a prescription for a relative.

PARKERSBURG — On March 1 the following reports were released by Wood County Magistrate Court:

* Ricky Lee Walker Jr., 37, 211 Dempsey Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing from an officer, second-offense driving on a suspended or revoked license, a capias for procuring gas or water service, a capias for driving on a suspended or revoked license and a capias for driving too fast for roadway conditions and was released on a $7,000 surety bond and $100 cash bond.

* Kathy A. Gary, 46, 619 10th St., Marietta, was arraigned on a citation for driving while using an electronic communications device and was released on a $100 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael J. Vanfosson, 50, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of malicious wounding and was released on a $25,000 surety bond.

* Phillip Earl Cowden Jr., 49, 905 Seventh St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a citation for driving on a suspended or revoked license for DUI, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and was assessed $420.50 in fines and court fees.

* Ariel Sabrina Francis, 18, 2092 Pleasant Hill Road, Belleville, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting, less than $500, and was assessed $266.73 in fines, restitution and court fees.

* Gerald L. Morrison, 53, 1860 Main St., Bowerville, Ga., pleaded guilty to a charge of failure to obey a traffic control device and was assessed $165.25 in fines and court fees.

* Christopher Tye McBride, 30, 704 31st St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to a DNR citation for hunting out of season and was assessed $285.25 in fines, restitution and court fees.

* Lisa A. Dodd, 55, 186 Northwood Villa, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a citation for improper approach when passing an emergency vehicle and was assessed $165.25 in fines and court fees.

* Crystal Nichole Ventimiglia, 31, 1502 Crescent St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a false pretenses charge, was sentenced to 60 days in jail suspended for one year unsupervised probation and was assessed $213.46 in fines, restitution and court fees.

* Brandon Richard West, 18, 10194 Chase Road, Albany, Ohio, pleaded guilty to a citation for improper registration and was assessed $165.25 in fines and court fees. A charge of no insurance was dismissed when proof of insurance was shown.

* Joshua Lee Rogers, 31, 606 Lulu St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of destruction of property, was sentenced to six months in jail suspended for one year unsupervised probation and was assessed $160.25 court fees.

* Jyazmiune Nahshaiy McDowell-Vickers, 20, 132 Shelby Ave., Akron, was found guilty in a bench trial of driving on a suspended or revoked license for miscellaneous reasons and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court fees..

* Two charges of worthless check against Tammy Reynolds, 48, 3860 Ohio 676, Stockport, were dismissed after proof of payment was provided to the court.

* Chadwick Myron Norman, 44, Parkersburg, was found guilty of charges of first-offense DUI and driving on a suspended or revoked license for miscellaneous reasons, was sentenced to nine hours served for the DUI charge and was assessed $595.50 in fines and court fees.

* James Wesley Whitlock, 48, 418 Avery St., Apt. 402, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to an obstructing an officer charge and was assessed $210.25 in fines and court fees.

* Joseph Andrew Fielder, 38, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of third-degree sexual abuse, was sentenced to 90 days home confinement and the day report center and was assessed $160.25 in fines and court fees.
