PARKERSBURG — The following case appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on Nov. 17:

* Jacob Matthew Williams, 21, Parkersburg, was sentenced Friday on charges of unlawful assault and grand larceny.

After successfully completing a treatment program, he was sentenced to one to five years in prison on the assault charge with credit for time served and two to 10 years in prison with no credit on the larceny charge, with the sentences to run consecutively. The sentences were suspended and he was placed on three years probation and assessed court costs and restitution.

Williams was indicted May 12, 2016, on charges of malicious assault, destruction of property, unlawful entry, grand larceny and two counts of burglary. He pleaded guilty Sept. 27, 2016, to unlawful assault and grand larceny before entering treatment.
