Wood County Circuit Court
PARKERSBURG – The following cases appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on Nov. 10:
* David O’Brian Wells, 25, of Vienna was sentenced to six months to two years in the Anthony Center on charges of burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. Further sentencing is deferred pending completion of the Anthony Center program.
Wells was indicted May 16 on charges of first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, three counts of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, petit larceny and forgery of a public record. He pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to one of the burglary counts and the charge of conspiracy to commit burglary.
* Angela Lynn Singleton, 40, of Parkersburg was sentenced to one to 10 years in prison on an embezzlement charge, with the sentence suspended for five years probation. She will be required to serve 90 days in the North Central Regional Jail.
She was assessed court costs and ordered to forfeit her retirement account. A decision on the restitution amount was deferred, with the state ordered to submit its proposed amount within 30 days and Singleton having 20 days after that to respond. An information was filed July 15 on one count of embezzlement. Singleton pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 11.
