Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA – Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports and charges on Oct. 24.

* On Oct. 23 Deputy Sheriff McKee requested summonses for four Frontier High School students to appear in Juvenile Court on charges of delinquency. Questioned by the school’s principal, two of the teenagers admitted smoking marijuana outside of the school. The other two teenagers acknowledged smoking marijuana inside a bathroom at the school, officials said.

* On Oct. 24 corrections officer Schwendeman charged Washington County Jail inmate Darren C. Farnese, 20, 613 Eighth St., Marietta, with theft. Another inmate initially gave Farnese permission to use his phone card in exchange for a meal tray but Farnese was moved to a different dormitory before he could pay his debt. Farnese then used the phone card without permission on another occasion.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Thursday and Friday:

* Christopher Paul Smith, 27, 2805 Dudley Ave., Parkersburg, for a felony charge of theft and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear. Smith was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* William Chevelle Bailey, 35, 731 Seebert St., Columbus, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Bailey was arrested in Cutler by Deputy Sheriff McConnell and processed into the Washington County Jail.

* Charika Fana Pugh, 23, 7823 Hare Ave., Jacksonville, Fla., for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Pugh was apprehended by a bondsman and processed into the Washington County Jail.

Parkersburg Police

PARKERSBURG – The Parkersburg Police Deprtment released the following reports on Oct. 24:

* Stephen D. Wilder, 23, of Parkersburg was arrested on Oct. 24 for disorderly conduct, obstructing, public intoxication, and trespassing refusal to leave when personally communicated.

* On Oct. 23 an employee of Critchfield Utilities reported a 10-foot fiberglass step/extension ladder missing from his work vehicle.

* On Oct. 23 officers responded to Speedway on Murdoch Avenue in reference to a petit larceny and shoplifting.

* On Oct. 23 officers responded to headquarters for a false pretense. Steven Harter advised someone took his vehicle and sold it.

* On Oct. 23 Richard Johnson contacted the Parkersburg Police Substation in reference to a petit larceny from his vehicle. The complainant stated someone entered his parked vehicle and removed a GPS unit.

* On Oct. 23 officers responded to Camden Clark Medical Center Triage in reference to a domestic battery.

* On Oct. 23 officers investigated eight motor vehicle accidents.

* On Oct. 22, David A. Hart, 22, of 166 Ohio 339, Belpre, was cited for driving under suspension and for fictitious license plates.

* On Oct. 23, Benjamin H. Daugherty, 27, of 704 Elm St., Belpre, was arrested for OVI and for speeding for going 60 mph in a 50 mph zone.
