Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG – Three hearings took place in Wood County Circuit Court Friday.

* Michael E. Kesterson II, 21, 1006 Benton Ave., Parkersburg, was sentenced after his guilty plea to a bill of information charging him with manufacturing of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Judge Robert Waters sentenced him to one to five years in prison with credit for 82 days served suspended for two years probation.

* Amanda Rae Wilson, 27, 4008 11th Ave., Parkersburg, denied the allegation in the petition to revoke home confinement. She was granted a motion for a hearing on the evidence that was set for 3:30 p.m. Sept. 19 before Waters. She was placed on home confinement in June after she was found to be in violation of her probation. She was placed on probation in December 2012 after she pleaded guilty to a charge of delivery of a controlled substance.

* Sandra Marie Tebay, also known as Sandra M. Parlin, 32, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, was denied a motion for a bond reduction from $25,000. On July 21, she pleaded guilty to a bill of information charging her with conspiracy to operate or attempt to operate a clandestine drug laboratory and her sentencing was set for 9:30 a.m. Sept. 30 before Waters.

Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG – Two pleas and a sentencing were heard in Wood County Circuit Court Friday.

* Rodney Louis Wayne Jr., 33, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, entered a plea agreement to plead guilty to a charge of third-offense DUI and second-offense driving on a suspended or revoked license for DUI as charged by the May 2014 grand jury. Judge Jeffrey Reed set sentencing for 11:30 a.m. Nov. 21. A motion to reinstate Wayne’s bond was denied.

* Mathew David Gonzales, 29, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, was sentenced after his June plea to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, marijuana, as charged by a special session of the grand jury on March 5. Judge J.D. Beane sentenced him to one to five years in jail with credit for 220 days served.

* Sherry Parsons, 39, 1713 Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, was sentenced after her guilty plea to a bill of information charging her with domestic battery, a misdemeanor. Beane sentenced her to 12 months in the regional jail with credit for 237 days served, suspended for two years probation.

Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG – The following cases appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on Aug. 4:

* Ginny Rhodes, 36, Rockport, was sentenced Monday to one to five years in prison, suspended for three years probation, on a charge of exposing children to methamphetamine manufacturing.

She was also assessed court costs.

Rhodes was indicted Jan. 17 on charges of possession of pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture meth, operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab, conspiracy to operate or attempt to operate a clandestine drug lab and two counts of exposure of children to meth manufacturing. She pleaded guilty May 29 to one of the exposure charges.

* Emily Laine Jessup, 26, Wheeling, pleaded guilty Monday to an information containing charges of entering without breaking and receiving stolen property.

A delay was granted for Jessup to apply for drug court and sentencing was scheduled for Oct. 31 if the drug court application is denied.

The information containing the two charges was filed June 3.

* Tammy Lynn Stuart, 54, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty Monday to an information containing an uttering charge. Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 27.

The information was filed June 30.

Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG – The following case appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on Aug. 1:

* Tristian Frankie Newman, 27, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty Friday to an information charging him with conspiracy to commit burglary. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 22.

Newman was indicted Jan. 17 on one count of burglary. The information containing the conspiracy charge was filed Friday.
