Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Circuit Court heard the following cases July 9.

In Judge Jason Wharton’s Court:

* Adam Wade, age unavailable, in custody for three counts of burglary and one count of petit larceny, was found not competent to stand trial and unlikely to regain competency. He has been committed to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources facilities.

* Philip Mayle, 48, Long Run Road, Pennsboro, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, methamphetamine, by Alford Plea, and will be sentenced Sept. 16 at 9:30 a.m.

* Jeremy Mullins, age unavailable, in custody, pleaded guilty to receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle, count one, fleeing from an officer, count two, and receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle, count one, of the information. He will be sentenced on Sept. 16 at 10 a.m.

* Akietta Parker, 27, 1513 Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance and will be sentenced Sept. 16 at 10 a.m.

* Kevin Hess, 31, in custody, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering and will be sentenced Aug. 26 at 11 a.m.

* James Davis, 24, in custody, was found guilty in a plea to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, heroin, and was sentenced to the West Virginia Department of Corrections for one to 15 years with credit for 167 days.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on July 9.

* Courtney Anderson, 29, 3001 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and shoplifting. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Jason Graham, 22, 1106 Windsor Drive, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of transferring or receiving stolen goods, public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was released on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael Swisher, 41, 1323 Oak St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while suspended or revoked and as part of a plea agreement was dismissed on a charge of trespassing. He was assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines.

* William Heflin, 35, 2320 Vaughn Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while suspended or revoked, a first offense, and was assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines.

* Jessica Joy, 21, 1046 Murdoch Ave., Apartment 5, Parkersburg, made a no contest plea to expired registration and was assessed $355.50 in court costs and fines.

* Earl Eugene Lockhart, 38, 369 Captain Ames Drive, Parkersburg, made a no contest plea to speeding 71 miles per hour in a 55 mile-per-hour zone and was assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines.

* Candy Burke, 46, 35 Aqua Circle, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two charges of possession with intent to deliver, methamphetamine, and was released on a $30,000 surety bond.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on July 10.

* Dana Harrison, 47, 3409 Hemlock Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Destry Todd, 29, 2195 Layman Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and driving while impaired. As part of a plea agreement, Todd was dismissed on a charge of driving while suspended or revoked. Todd was sentenced to six months of probation and assessed $515.50 in court costs and fines.

* Jeremiah Lyons, 37, homeless, was arraigned on the charge of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and was released on a $50,000 surety bond.

* David Myers, 37, 246 Blenn Lake Road, Walker, was arraigned on three counts of driving while suspended or revoked, three counts of no insurance and two counts of transferring or receiving stolen property and was released on an $8,000 personal recognizance bond.

* The court found probable cause for the charge of fleeing with reckless indifference by Damon Brannan, 46, 613 Ward Place, Parkersburg, and his case has been bound over to Wood County Circuit Court for grand jury consideration.

* Joshua Mackey, 24, 2312 10th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to no operator’s and was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.

* Tyler Ebra, 28, 214 Sixth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving while suspended or revoked and was assessed $270.25 in court costs and fines.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports July 9:

* On July 6, Justin Allen Posey, 26, of South Sixth Street, was arrested on charges of fleeing and obstructing as well as a warrant for destruction of property.

* On July 6, Terry Lee Williams, 21, of Agnes Street, was cited for driving on suspended.

* On July 6, Jonathan Dillon Cayton, 23, of 25th Street, was arrested on charges of fleeing and obstructing.

* On July 6, Thomas Franklin Vaught, 31, of Ninth Avenue, was cited for driving on suspended.

* On July 7, Jessica Marie Garcia, 27, of Winding Road, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.

* On July 7, Zachary Alexander Bailey, 26, of Spider Ridge, was cited for no proof of insurance and expired registration

* On July 7, Issac Noah Harris, 18, of Suzanne Street, was cited for no proof of insurance.

* On July 7, Hunter James Brown, 21, of Perkins Lane, was cited for failure to maintain control.

* On July 7, Nathan Joseph Hughes, 41, was arrested on a charge of burglary.

* On July 7, Andrew Martin Hopkins, 57, of Hill Street, was arrested on charges of receiving or transferring stolen goods and driving on revoked.

* On July 8, Jeffrey Alan Ball, 37, of Nicely Place, was cited for driving on suspended/revoked and possession of marijuana less than 15 grams.
