Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Circuit Court heard the following cases June 17.

In Judge J.D. Beane’s court:

* Joanne Kimble, 45, of Parkersburg, was sentenced to one to five years in prison, with credit for 40 days served, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Defense motions to continue the sentencing to allow time to cooperate with probation and for alternative sentencing such as probation or home confinement were denied.

* A motion to revoke probation for Elzie Leo Williams II, 31, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail in Doddridge County, was granted. Williams had previously been placed on three years of probation on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Beane ordered him to serve the remainder of his suspended one-to-five-year sentence, with credit for 212 days served.

* A motion to reduce the bond of Michael Scott Kerns, 24, in custody at the regional jail, to $20,000 with a condition of home confinement was granted. The state did not object. Kerns had been incarcerated on a $50,000 surety bond after being charged with possession of a controlled substance, heroin, with intent to deliver.

* Roy Thomas Tranter, 43, of Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of second-offense driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence, a lesser included offense to the felony count of third-offense driving on a license revoked for DUI on which he was originally indicted. His sentencing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 22.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports June 17:

* Michael Lee Barker, 30, 1334 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of daytime burglary and bond was set at $10,000 surety.

* Justin D. Deems, 39, 725 N. Seventh St., Marietta, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and shoplifting, less than $500, and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Beldon Todd Bailey, 41, 3428 Third Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license and improper registration and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Gregory Alan Stephens, 60, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense domestic battery and bond was set at $5,000 surety.

* Joshua Eric Allan, aka Joshua Sturm, 26, 1010-5 Cornwall St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of destruction of property, petit larceny and trespassing and was released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Darryl Duane Davis, 51, 1441 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of battery and released on a $1,500 bond.

* Billy Glen Davis, 35, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstruction, disorderly conduct and destruction of property and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Anthony Benjamin Bailey, 46, 1031 Market St., Apt. 301, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of shoplifting and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Brittany Jo Ferrell, 33, 2205 Washington Blvd., Belpre, was arraigned on charges of camping in a restricted area and fishing without a license and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Austina Shae McCartney, 24, 807 1/2 Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of truancy and a fugitive from justice warrant. Bond was set at $500 personal recognizance on the truancy count, but she was being held without bond on the fugitive warrant.

* Michael Thomas Runyon, 29, 1609 Hill St., Apt. 9, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of failure to appear and shoplifting and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Amber Leigh James, 28, 2335 26th Place, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of first-offense driving on a license revoked for DUI, no insurance and improper approach of an emergency vehicle and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Kevin Matthew Lohoefner, 33, 1316 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to public intoxication and was assessed $175.25 in fines and fees.

* LaDonna Dawnell Thompson, 31, 911 Lenore St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trespassing and was assessed $270.25 in fines and fees.

* Howard Randall Sargent Jr., 52, 10775 Emerson Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to no motor vehicle inspection and no insurance and was assessed $545.50 in fines and fees.

* Timothy James Newbrough, 35, 1314 Spring St., Apt. 6, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense petit larceny and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended for one year probation. He was assessed $170.25 in fees and $210 in restitution.

* Melissa Lee Shroyer, 31, 38 Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was assessed $195.25 in fines and fees. A charge of trespassing in a separate case was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. A charge of fraudulent use of an access device was also dismissed after the alleged victim failed to appear. Shroyer waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of third-offense shoplifting, and the case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Juan Escribano, 27, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense domestic battery and bond was set at $1,000 surety.

* Ricky Alan Lockhart, 45, 22 Short St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, marijuana (less than 15 grams), was sentenced to six months of unsupervised probation and assessed $170.25 in fees.

* Anthony Terrell Rembert, 41, 151 Chateau Hills, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to public intoxication and was assessed $175.25 in fines and fees.

* A charge of third-offense shoplifting was dismissed against Stephen Charles Bronson, 48, 1735 26th St., Parkersburg, after no witness appeared.

Belpre Police

BELPRE — The Belpre Police Department released the following reports on June 17:

* On June 8, Melissa J, Shrader, 38, Creston, was cited for driving under suspension and expired registration.

* On June 11, Cody R. Menking, 29, Belpre, was cited for a red light violation.

* On June 12, Tricia K. Holland, 40, of Parkersburg, was cited for expired registration.

* On June 12, Jill E. Lipscomb, 36, Vincent, was cited for speed 68 mph in a 50 mph zone.

* On June 12, Robert R. Deem, 39, Parkersburg, was cited for expired registration.

* On June 12, Jeremiah J. Lyons, 37, Parkersburg, was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, cited for driving under suspension, driving in marked lanes, fictitious plates, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments.

* On June 14, Charles F. Bond, 84, Guysville, was cited for speed 45mph in a 25mph zone.

* On June 14, William L. Bailey, 46, Fleming, was cited for speed 34 mph in a 25 mph zone.

* On June 15, Melinda L. Helmick, 47, Belpre, was cited for speed 42 mph in a 25 mph zone.

* On June 15, Belinda J. Flinn, 35, Washington, W.Va., was cited for speed 40 mph in a 25 mph zone.

* On June 15, Thomas J. Lauric, 36, Parkersburg, was arrested on a Belpre Mayor’s Court warrant on the charge of theft, transported to the Washington County Jail.

* On June 16, Jacob G. Linville, 23, Belpre, was cited for expired registration.

Williamstown Police

WILLIAMSTOWN — The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports June 17:

June 11

* Jenna Roush, 37, Waverly, was cited for driving on a suspended license, expired motor vehicle inspection, expired registration and no insurance on Highland Avenue.

* Amir Yousuf, 56, Parsippany, N.J., was cited for speeding, 38 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

June 12

* Amanda Erlandson, 38, Vienna, was cited for speeding, 78 mph in a 45 mph zone, on W.Va. 14.

* Mark Carter, 27, Vienna, was cited for speeding, 55 mph in a 35 mph zone, on West Third Street.

June 13

* Kenneth Mendenhall, 43, Lower Salem, was cited for a red light violation on West Third Street.

* Officers served a domestic violence protective order in the 600 block of Victoria Avenue.

June 14

* Lashley Moser, 31, Newport, was cited for a red light violation on West Third Street.

* Jo Dowler, 62, Vienna, was cited for speeding, 66 mph in a 45 mph zone, on W.Va. 14.

June 15

* Sierra Jones, 21, Marietta, was cited for speeding, 41 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

* Dustyn Klies, 27, Salesville, Ohio, was cited for no motorcycle helmet on W.Va. 14.

* Hannah Delancey, 22, Williamstown, was cited for no MVI and no insurance on East Fifth Street.

* Earl Phillips Jr,. 51, Williamstown, was cited for public intoxication in the lot of the Beechcomber off of Highland Avenue.

June 16

* Crystal Larrison, 36, Marietta, was cited for driving on a suspended license and expired registration on W.Va. 14.
