Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Circuit Court heard the following cases May 20:

In Judge Jason Wharton’s court:

* Te’Ya Canty Glaspell, 24, of Parkersburg, was sentenced to one to 15 years in prison on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one to five years on a charge of conspiracy to commit delivery of a controlled substance, with the sentences to be served concurrently. She pleaded guilty to the charges in March.

A defense motion for alternative sentencing was denied. The prosecution had recommended the sentences be served consecutively.

* Andre Stampley, 24, of Clinton Township, Mich., attempted to plead guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, but the court rejected the plea. He is scheduled to go to trial Wednesday, May 29, on two charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and two counts of conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

* The trial of Jeremy Mullins, 41, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail in Doddridge County, was continued to July 9 because his attorney has another trial coming up next week. Mullins is charged with two counts of receiving/transferring a stolen vehicle, two counts of failure to appear and one count each of fleeing with reckless indifference, fleeing on foot and receiving stolen property.

In Judge Robert Waters’ court:

* Aaron Callihan, 41, in custody at the regional jail, was sentenced to one to five years in prison, with credit for 57 days served, on a charge of conspiracy to commit grand larceny. A motion for alternative sentencing was denied.

Magistrate Court

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court heard the following cases on May 17:

* Carrie Allen, 30, 814 Race St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on the charges of driving while suspended or revoked, a second offense, failure to maintain control, DUI and no insurance. She was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Larry Freed, 42, 28 Sapphire Circle, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protection order and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Maggie Barnhart, 36, Parkersburg, was arraigned on the charges of destruction of property, domestic battery and petit larceny. She was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Keisha Evonne Walker, 22, 909 Tefft St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and failure to process and released on a $4,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael Laurnoff, 55, 515 Sixth St., Apt. 6F, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of assaulting a police officer, obstruction, fleeing, failure to render information and two counts of public intoxication. He was released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Brent Harman, 42, 1419 Meadville Road, Davisville, was arraigned on the charges of no insurance, no registration and driving while revoked for DUI. He was released on a $3,000 surety bond.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports May 20:

* Brandon Kiewon Girven, 34, 1900 27th St., Apt. H, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing with reckless indifference and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

* Jacob Wilson Givens, 20, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Jeremy Scott Pfost, 42, 4204 Emerson Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving under the influence causing injury and bond was set at $20,000 surety. Pfost was allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine when he struck a telephone pole at 1737 Seventh St. on Friday and his passenger was injured, according to court documents.

* Christopher Wayne Hutson, 38, 1409 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing on foot and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* John Alexander Spaulding, 23, 143 Virginia Ave., Harrisville, was arraigned on charges of aggravated DUI and speeding and released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Michael Keith Delancey, 43, of Friendly, was arraigned on a charge of violating a domestic violence protective order and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Matthew James Cornell, 35, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense domestic battery and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* David G. Parsons, 34, 604 27th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of second-offense driving on a suspended/revoked license and expired motor vehicle inspection and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Jelisa S. Brown, 21, 304 Elm St., Belpre, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine and heroin, and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Cody Tyler Keith Dillon, 25, 33 South Third St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of failure to appear and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael Dwayne Barton, 47, 1103 Camden Ave., Apt. 1, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a DUI charge and released on a $1,500 surety bond. His truck reportedly struck another vehicle and an electric pole Sunday in the 400 block of Camden Avenue.

* Neil Denver Sprout, 42, 193 Walker Road, Walker, was arraigned on charges of obstructing, driving on a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Denzil Wayne Dowler, 34, of Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of violating a protective order and released on $2,000 bond.

* Scott James Feathers, 64, of 4630 Victoria Road, Charleston, was arraigned on a charge of prohibited person in possession of a firearm and released on a $2,500 bond.

* Ryan Holmes Ewing 29, 2028 17th St., Apt. 11, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and trespassing and was released on $1,500 bond.

* Joshua Paul Posey, 38, 512 Maple St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and fleeing on foot and bond was set at $1,500.

* Michael Devon Hammett, 34, 702 Park St., Pennsboro, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and fleeing on foot and was released on $1,500 bond.

* Carissa Leann Lane-Farmer, 23, 2353 Meadowview Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of battery of a police officer and fleeing on foot and was released on $2,500 bond.

* Tyler Michael Ludwig, 31, 711 Downalong Drive, Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to obstructing, was sentenced to time served and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Elzie Leo Williams II, 31, 230 Forest Way, Waverly, pleaded guilty to fleeing an officer, was sentenced to time served and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Kenneth Dewayne Holbert, 40, of Parkersburg, had a charge of violating a protective order dismissed since the victim could not be located.

* Ronald Paul Roman Jr., 55, 1006 1/2 George St., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and the case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Chauncey William Edmonds, 34, 520 Virginia St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving under suspension, was sentenced to time served and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court costs.
