Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Circuit Court heard the following cases on May 9:

In Judge Robert Waters Court:

* Tyas Lipscomb, 20, 1818 New England Ridge Road, Washington, pleaded guilty to a charge of child neglect resulting in injury and he will be sentenced on July 15 at 10 a.m.

Lipscomb was charged after he allegedly broke 14 of an 11-day-old child’s ribs by squeezing the child, according to the criminal complaint.

* Bryson England Jr., 62, in custody, was given a verdict by a jury trial of guilty to delivery of a controlled substance, heroin, counts 3, 5 and 7. For count three, he was sentenced to one to 15 years at the West Virginia Department of Corrections with credit for 454 days; for count five, he was sentenced to one to 15 years at the West Virginia Department of Corrections with no credit; and for count seven, he was sentenced to one to 15 years at the West Virginia Department of Corrections with no credit. All of these counts are to run consecutively.

* Rebecca Sargent, 29, in custody, waived extradition back to Washington County on a charge of failure to appear.

* Michael Runyon, 30, in custody, waived extradition back to Washington County on a charge of theft.

* Rachel Ann Bunner, 42, in custody, waived extradition back to Medina County, Ohio, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

* Michael Kirk, 30, in custody, pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree robbery and will be sentenced July 17 at 1 p.m.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports May 13:

* Nicholas Anthony Grimmer, 25, care of 72 Lantana Lane, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstruction and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Danny Ray Martin, 43, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and bond was set at $1,000, personal recognizance.

* Stephen Ray Gray, 37, care of 1317 Lynn St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of petit larceny and destruction of property and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Kevin Eugene Hosom, 46, 205 Poplar Drive, McConnelsville, was arraigned on charges of defrauding an innkeeper, public intoxication and obstructing and released on a $1,100 bond.

* Sherri Lea Garrison, 45, Dutch Ridge Terrace Apt. 126, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, heroin, with intent to deliver and released on a $20,000 bond.

* Elzie Leo Williams II, 31, care of 230 Forest Way, Waverly, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing from an officer and bond wa set at $1,000 cash.

* Joel Thomas May, 45, of 810 Market Manor, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense driving under the influence and released on a $500 bond.

* Dylan Michael Coe, 23, of 70 Oak Acres Circle, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of aggravated DUI and possession of a controlled substance and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Herman Everitt Sims Jr., 43, of 1314 Spring St., Apt. 2, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of grand larceny and held on a $10,000 cash bond and a parole violation.

* John David Casteel, 56, of 1176 Red Hill Road, Apt. 202, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of petit larceny and first-offense driving on a license revoked for DUI and released on a $1,000 bond.

* William Paul Fluharty, 25, 187 Chateau Hills Court, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of fleeing on foot and obstruction and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Ryan Matthew Rader, 32, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on a $500 bond.

* Raven S. Andrews, 28, of Marietta, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery and child abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian creating risk of injury and released on a $1,500 bond.

* Jacob Thomas Minor, 59, 1811 Gihon Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of third-offense driving on a license revoked for DUI, aggravated DUI and no insurance and was released on a $2,000 bond.

* David Clifton Adams, 48, 66 Wildwood Heights, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of obstructing and released on a $1,000 bond.

* Jaymie Lee Fox, 42, 38 High St., Vincent, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance, heroin, and failure to use a turn signal and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Colton Dalton Poole, 18, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on a $500 bond.

* Tyler Jacob Jones, 25, 320 Dempsie Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, Xanax and LSD, and one count each of obstructing and public intoxication and released on a $2,000 bond.

* Barry Elschlager, 61, 1683 Isaac Fork Road, Waverly, pleaded guilty to DUI, was sentenced to time served and was assessed $335.25 in fines and cour costs.

* Tiffany Dianne McCune, 26, 184 Logan Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court costs.

* Justin Lewis Beeler, 37, 692 Club Drive, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of procuring utilities by device with intent to defraud and tampering with pipes, wires or electrical conductors and was released on $1,500 bond.

* Shannon Delores Carpenter, 44, 882 Logston Run Road, Ravenswood, was arraigned on a truancy charge and released on $500 bond.

* Michael Duane Robinson II, 27, 1876 South Pleasant Hill Road, Belleville, pleaded guilty to DUI, was sentenced to 90 days jail with credit for time served and was assessed $455.25 in fines and court costs. He pleaded guilty to battery of a police officer and disruption of government services, was sentenced to 90 days jail on each count and was assessed $320.50 in fines and court costs. The sentences will run consecutively.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports May 13:

* On May 10, William Paul Fluharty, 25, of Ryanwood Village, was arrested on two capias warrants, one for petit larceny and the other for shoplifting, and current charges of obstructing and fleeing on foot.

* On May 10, Andrew John McGuffey II, 20, of Dixie Lane, was issued a citation for failure to maintain control after deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash on Emerson Avenue.

* On May 10, Nicholas Anthony Grimmer, 25, of Lantana Lane, was arrested on a warrant for obstructing officer issued through the Vienna Police Department.

* On May 10, Jayme Lea Balderson, 22, of Meadowbrook Acres, was issued a citation for expired registration and possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana.

* On May 11, Tyler Eugene Mason, 28, of Chateau Hills, was issued a citation for no motor vehicle inspection.

* On May 11, Larry Shane Parsons, 47, of Oak Circle, was issued a citation for expired operators and expired registration.

* On May 11, David Clifton Adams, 48, of Wildwood Heights, was arrested on a warrant for obstructing and a current charge of obstructing.

* On May 12, Sherri Lea Garrison, 45, of Dutch Ridge Terrace, was arrested on a charge of possession with intent to deliver narcotics.

* On May 12, Dylan Michael Coe, 23. of Oak Acres, was arrested on charges of aggravated DUI and possession of cocaine.

* On May 12, Devin Blake Hefner, 19, of Emerald Drive, was issued a citation for driving on suspended/revoked and no insurance.

* On May 13, Shannon Deloris Caplinger, 44, of Meadowbrook Acres, was arrested on a warrant for truancy and Kari Lynn Caplinger, 24, of Chateau Hills, was arrested on a warrant with two charges of shoplifting.

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports May 13:

* This past weekend the Parkersburg Police Department responded to 247 calls for service.

* John Castell, 56, of Parkersburg, was arrested May 10 on a petit larceny charge.

* Brandon Hornbeck, 28, of Parkersburg, was arrested May 10 on a warrant for no operator’s and possession of a controlled substance.

* Danny Martin, 43, of Parkersburg, was arrested May 10 on a domestic battery charge.

* John Casteel, 56, of Parkersburg, was arrested May 10 on a driving under the influence charge.

* Christopher Ledger, 28, of Coolville, was arrested May 10 on a possession of a controlled substance charge.

* Stephen Gray, 37, of Parkersburg, was arrested May 11 on a destruction of property charge.

* Joel May, 45, of Parkersburg, was arrested May 11 on a DUI charge.

* Colton Poole, 18, of Parkersburg, was arrested May 11 on a domestic battery charge.

* Kevin Hosom, 46, of Zanesville, Ohio, was arrested May 12 on charges of public intoxication, obstructing, absconding and fraudulently obtaining food or lodging.

* Andrew Whitten, 37, of Parkersburg, was arrested May 12 on a warrant for violation of a protective order.

* Tyler Jones, 25, of Parkersburg, was arrested May 12 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and obstructing.

* Ryan Rader, 32, of Parkersburg, was arrested May 12 on a domestic battery charge.

* Elzie Williams, 31, of Waverly, was arrested May 12 on a warrant for fleeing from officer.

* Kristina Kirkbride, 41, of Williamstown, was arrested May 12 on an obstructing charge.
