Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on April 29:

* Shaquille M. Dawkins, 24, of Akron, Ohio, pleaded guilty to first-offense conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a lesser included charge. Sentencing is scheduled for June 10.

* Kaula McVey, 30, at the North Central Regional Jail, pleaded guilty Monday to breaking and entering. Sentencing is scheduled for July 8.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports April 29:

* Robert L. Carpenter III, 35, of 101 Mitchells Lane, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of no proof of insurance, possession of a controlled substance and driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Marion Delbert Sweeney Jr., 29, of 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing on foot and bond was set at $3,000 surety.

* Casey Charles Lahew, 33, of 350 Tanner Lane, Walker, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting and first-offense driving on a suspended license and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Curtis Leon Davis Jr., 45, of 1613 Oak St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of first-offense shoplifting and petit larceny and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Jack Allen Cale, 60, of 514 Wigal St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on a $250 personal recognizance bond. He pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs and a civil penalty of $216.98.

* Donald Paul Stephens, 50, of 614 31st St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine and heroin, and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Tracie Nikole Hutchinson, 28, 20081/2 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing. Her bond was set at $3,000 personal recognizance but she remained in custody on a parole hold.

* Thomas Charles Smith Jr., 58, of 807 Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Christi Lea Wright, 53, of Walker, was arraigned on charges of obstructing, violation of a protective order and failure to provide fingerprints and released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Scott Joseph Byers, 35, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on three counts of domestic battery and bond was set at $15,000 surety.

* Joshua David Perry, 35, of 137 Elma Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of second-offense driving under the influence and interlock system violation and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Dusty Mae Dawson, 44, of 206 Forest Way, Waverly, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Johnny B. Roberts, 47, of 1327 Ramsey St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, meth, with intent to deliver and held on a $100,000 surety bond.

* Darin Sean Bryan, 32, of 3420 Packard St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of joyriding and possession of an unlawfully taken vehicle and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

* Anthony Bryan Martin, 33, of 700 Greenhill Road, Marietta, pleaded guilty to providing a structure or place for use of controlled substances by others, was sentenced to one year in jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Laura Ann Woolwine, 34, of Millfield, Ohio, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and bond was set at $1,000.

* Nichole Catherine Nelson, 33, of 33 Westview Way, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court costs.

* Bunny Broughton, 57, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and released on $500 bond.

* Nicholas Trevor Caplinger, 27, of 2521 1/2 24th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI, was sentenced to time served and was assessed $335.25 in fines and court costs.

* Dane Anthony Mason, 40, of 3604 Sixth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to destruction of property, was sentenced to 90 days jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Dakota Lee Heckert, 20, of 1334 Broadway Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fraudulent use of an access device, was sentenced to one year in jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $853.97 in fines, court costs and restitution.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 29:

* On April 25, Ronald Lee Bush Jr., 40, of Elm Street, was arrested on two warrants for violation of a domestic violence protective order.

* On April 26, Darin Sean Bryan, 32, of Packard Street, was arrested on charges of joyriding – unlawful taking of vehicle second offense and possession of an unlawfully taken vehicle.

* On April 26, Jack Allen Cale, 60, of Wigal Street, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting.

* On April 26, Emmett Darren Starcher, 48, of West Seventh Street, Williamstown, was issued citations for leaving the scene, striking fixtures upon highway and failure to report accident.

* On April 26, Hannah Phillips, 28, of Hill Avenue, was issued a citation for no insurance.

* On April 27, Teresa Lynn Kelley, 53, of Staunton Pike, was arrested on a capias issued through Family Court.

* On April 27, Christie Lea Wright, 53, of Staunton Avenue, was arrested on charges of violation of a domestic violence protective order, obstructing an officer and failure to render information.

* On April 27, Kolese Lynetta Coss, 54, of Crown Manor Circle, was issued a citation for expired registration.

* On April 28, Russell Scot Clother, 59, of Richneck Road, Newport News, Va., was issued a citation for equipment violation.

* On April 28, Joseph Oliver Beaumier, 18, of Bull Run Road, was issued a citation for no registration and no motor vehicle inspection.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 29:

* On April 26, Deputy H. Tornes requested a summons be issued to Daniel Scott Metz, 48, 101 Allen Street, Little Hocking, on a charge of failure to register his dogs.

* On April 26, Sgt. McGilton requested a summons for Myra McIntryre, 54, 106 Washington Street Extension, Marietta, for failure to restrain her dog. On or about April 18 a dog belonging to McIntyre had gotten loose from her residence. McIntyre’s dog left her property and attacked a dog, which was being walked by its owner along Front Street near Washington Street Extension. McIntyre admitted her dog had gotten loose and stated she took full responsibility.

* On April 26, Deputy Zide along with the Warren and Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to Lane Farm Market to a fire at that location. The chimney fire was extinguished before fire personnel arrived.

* On April 26, Deputy A. McConnell responded to Dollar General, 10282 State Route 550, Vincent, to a report of a female stealing items. The subject left in a vehicle described as a black Dodge. Contact was made at a location believed to be that of the suspect. Deputy McConnell met with Bobbie Sue Davis. Davis was wearing the same clothing as described by store personnel. Davis admitted to only stealing a few of the items. Davis, 35, 2342 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, will be summoned into court on a charge of theft.

* On April 27, Deputy Gainer was working at the Washington County Jail when Brittany Coleen Eady was brought in charged with driving under suspension, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, and drug paraphernalia. During a patdown of Eady, she was asked if she had any weapons, drugs or contraband on her person and Eady stated that she did not, however, Eady was found to be in possession of a small knife and bag with half a small white pill, suspected of being oxycodone. Eady, 26, 27482 State Route 7, Marietta, was charged with possession of drugs, and two counts of illegal conveyance of drugs.

* On April 27, Deputy J, McConnell along with the Oak Grove, Devola, Warren, Reno, and Lowell Adams Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to 740 Cole Coffman Road, Marietta, to a fire at the property. The structure was a total loss.

* On April 27, Deputy Gainer was working at the Washington County Jail when Shari Eckert was brought to the jail by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Eckert, 39, 1480 Main Street, Stockport, was being charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, no seatbelt, and left of center. During a patdown of Eckert, she was asked if she had any weapons, drugs or contraband on her person and she stated not to her knowledge. Eckert was found to be in possession of a small bag containing a crushed white powdery substance. Eckert was charged with possession of a controlled substance and conveyance into a detention facility.

* On April 27, Deputy Zide was patrolling when he observed a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with Joshua Strickland. Deputy Zide ran K9 Rita around the vehicle due to indicators he received from the occupants of the vehicle. K9 Rita gave a positive indication at which time a search was done on the vehicle recovering a broken marijuana pipe. Strickland claimed the pipe and admitted it was for marijuana, and advised he held a medical marijuana prescription in another state, but not one in Ohio. A summons is being requested for Strickland, 23, 3187 Glendale Road, Cairo, W.Va., for possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

* Casey Steven Taylor, 27, 4060 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Scott Robert Mason, 49, 468 Washington Street, Macksburg, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Steven Ronald Simons Jr., 35, 2028 17th Street, Parkersburg, trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, and having weapons while under disability, all felonies.

* Joel Andrew Johnson, 38, 814 Warren Street, Marietta, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Chad Christopher Goudy, 48, 3402 Elm Street, Parkersburg, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

* Heather Renee Bartlett, 41, 8285 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, failure to register a dog, a misdemeanor.

* Ashton Garrett Linger, 19, 1599 Camp Hervida Road, Waterford, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, speed, and open container, all misdemeanors.

* Amanda Lynn Dobbins, 38, 560 Bender Road, Marietta, driving while under the influence of alcohol drugs, left of center and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors.

* Brittany Coleen Eady, 26, 27482 SR 7, Marietta, drug paraphernalia, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, and driving under suspension, misdemeanors, possession of drugs, illegal conveyance of drugs, two counts, all felonies.

* Shari Danielle Eckert, 39, 1480 Main Street, Stockport, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, no seatbelt, and left of center, misdemeanors, illegal conveyance of drugs and possession of cocaine, felonies.

* Derek Douglas Oldfield, 33, 713 Ninth Street, Marietta, violating a protection order and contempt of court, misdemeanors.

* Alyssa Leighann Vanoster, 28, of Roseville, Ohio, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

* McKenzie Ann Cowman, 26, of Belpre, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Parkersburg Police

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports April 29:

* This past weekend the Parkersburg Police Department responded to 200 calls for service.

* Donald Stephens, 50, of Parkersburg. was arrested April 26 on a capias for failure to appear.

* Marion Sweeney, 29. was arrested April 26 for fleeing from an officer.

* Thomas Smith, 58, of Parkersburg, was arrested April 26 on a warrant for driving while license suspended for DUI.

* Christopher Jouver, 40, of Vienna, was arrested April 27 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

* Tracie Hutchinson, 28, of Parkersburg, was arrested April 27 on a charge of obstructing by making false statements to an officer.

* Scotty Byers, 35, of Parkersburg, was arrested April 27 on a domestic battery charge.

* Michael Boley, of Parkersburg, was arrested April 28 on charges of burglary and wanton endangerment.

* Curtis Davis, 45, was arrested April 28 on a petit larceny charge.

* Bunny Broughton, 57, of Parkersburg, was arrested April 28 on a domestic battery charge.

* On April 26, officers responded to Gihon Road in reference to a destruction of property.

* On April 26, officers responded to Fourth Avenue in reference to counterfeit money.

* On April 27, officers responded to Kroger in reference to a petit larceny.

* On April 27, officers responded to Shell on Division Street in reference to a petit larceny.

* On April 28, officers responded to Cypress Street in reference to a vehicle entry.

* On April 28, officers responded to 11th Avenue in reference to a petit larceny.

* Between April 26-28, officers responded to 11 motor vehicle accidents.

Vienna Police

VIENNA — The Vienna Police Department released the following reports on April 29.

* On April 21, Nicholas S. Hanson of Williamstown was arrested for DUI and driving with no operators second-offense.

* On April 22, David M. Carpenter of Parkersburg was arrested for shoplifting first-offense.

* On April 23, Benjamin A. Berry of Parkersburg was arrested for petit larceny.

* On April, 24, Graham E. Godwin of Parkersburg was arrested for conveying false information relating to terrorist acts.

* On April 24, Christopher M. Burton of Bridgeport was arrested for driving on suspended.

* On April 25, Austina S. McCartney of Parkersburg was arrested for shoplifting, possession of meth and obstructing.
