Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Dec. 4:

* On Nov. 29, Aaron B. Carpenter, 30, of Warren Avenue, was issued a citation for expired registration and no proof of insurance.

* On Nov. 29, Brittany Lynn Gainer-Robey, 30, of Camden Avenue, was arrested on a charge of possession of heroin. Matthew David Sadler, 31, of Wyndham Knob, was issued a citation for possession of marijuana.

* On Nov. 29, Jason Lee Gregory, 38, of Lynn Street, was arrested on charges of shoplifting and obstructing an officer. He was also served with warrants on charges of removal of theft device, obstructing, shoplifting and petit larceny.

* On Nov. 30, Rachel Winona Lawson, 35, of 20th Street, was arrested on a warrant issued through the Parkersburg Police Department on a charge of child neglect.

* On Dec. 1, Lucas Adam Shank, 38, of 18th Avenue, was arrested on a capias warrant for knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription.

* On Dec. 2, Joshua Robert Wilson, 36, of Lincoln Street, was issued a citation for possession of marijuana less than 15 grams.

* On Dec. 3, David E. Fields, 50, of 30th Street, was issued a citation for no seat belt.

* On Dec. 3, Timothy Lee Wyatt, 24, of Fourth Avenue, turned himself in on a capias warrant for failure to appear on a charge of violation of a protective order.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Dec. 3:

* On Nov. 30, Sgt. McGilton viewed images and video located on Matthew Moyers’ cell phone which was downloaded in an unrelated case. Several images were observed which depicted a black cat and the torture the animal went through at the hands of Moyers. The photographs depicted the location on Oxbow Road as the whereabouts of the animal when this activity occurred. Moyers had placed duct tape on the cat’s sides and eyes as well as pulling the cat around by its tail. The video showed Moyers throwing the cat across the room on two different occasions. One video showed the cat struggling to get up and falling over. Upon meeting with Moyers he stated he was mad at the cat in August and threw it, which broke the cat’s legs. Matthew Robert Moyers, 41, 2524 Oxbow Road, Belpre, was placed under arrest on three counts of cruelty to a companion animal, one felony and two misdemeanors. Moyers was transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following warrants were processed at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

* Johnathan E. Porter, 200 Brown Street, Belle Valley, Ohio, failure to appear on a falsification charge.

* Joseph Lee Slider, 112 Sunset Avenue, Marietta, failure to appear on a breach of recognizance charge, and failure to appear on an assault charge.

* Timothy Logan M Howell, 41 Dunn Lane, New Matamoras, failure to appear on a burglary charge.

The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday and Monday:

* Matthew Robert Moyers, 41, 401 Lancaster Street, Apt. 1, Marietta, three counts cruelty to a companion animal, one felony and two misdemeanors.

* Donn Lewis Bookman, 37, Newport, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

* Kevin Lynn Hubbard, 34, 1308 Williamson Avenue, Apt. 8C, New Matamoras, on a warrant for contempt of court.

* David Scott Wiggers Sr., 57, 714 Circle Drive, Belpre, on warrants for three counts of driving under suspension and OVI, all misdemeanors.

* McKenzie Ann Cowman, 25, 814 Seneca Drive, Belpre, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Danielle Ann Vanwey, 35, Marietta, two counts of domestic violence, both misdemeanors.

* Johnny Irvin Bussart, 55, 1276 Milltown Road, Newport, OVI, marked lanes and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.

* Andrew Bryant Tucker, 35, 809 Front Street, Marietta, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Jeffrey Isaiah Cottrell, 23, 507 Washington Street, Marietta, contempt, failure to appear.

Athens Sheriff

ATHENS, Ohio — The Athens County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Dec. 4:

* On Dec. 3, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to New Marshfield Road for a burglary in progress. Deputies Banks, McCollister and Tomsha arrived on scene and observed subjects fleeing the area. While units searched the scene on foot, a neighbor alerted deputies to the whereabouts of a suspect. At that time the suspect fled in a stolen vehicle towards State Route 56. Deputies proceeded toward the last seen location and a short time later, a vehicle fitting the description was located during a patrol of the area. Deputy Banks attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspect did not comply. The vehicle was pursued on Roundhouse Road. During the pursuit, the suspect intentionally struck the driver’s side of Deputy McCollister’s oncoming cruiser, ran into an embankment, and ultimately rolled the vehicle onto its top. The male was taken into custody and was later identified as Timothy Perry, 54, of New Marshfield. Perry was arrested on outstanding warrants for theft of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering, and theft. As a result of the incident, Perry was charged with criminal damaging, breaking and entering, assault, theft of a motor vehicle, and failure to comply. After being taken into custody, it was learned that Perry struck another vehicle on Mineral Road. Additional charges are expected in this case.

* On Dec. 3, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office took custody of Scott Adams, 32, on an active nonsupport warrant. He appeared in court and was released.

* On Dec. 3, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Jackson Avenue in reference to a theft report. The caller advised items were taken from her vehicle. This matter is currently under investigation.

* On Dec. 3, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an abandoned vehicle off Beebe Road. Deputies checked the vehicle which was empty and not reported stolen at this time. Meigs County was contacted to assist in locating the registered owner as their listed address was in Meigs County. MCSO was unable to contact the registered owner at that time. This matter is currently under investigation.

Belpre Police

BELPRE — Belpre Police Department released the following reports Dec. 3:

* On Nov. 27, Gurmel L. McDonald, 31, of Parkersburg, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of aggravated burglary and assault.

* On Nov. 27, Minda A. Blaza, 56, of Parkersburg, was cited for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.

* On Nov. 28, Bryannna K. Hall, 28, of Parkersburg, was cited for having an expired registration.

* On Nov. 28, Frankie J. Boychi, 45, of Norton, Ohio, was cited for speeding, 64 mph in a 50 mph zone.

* On Nov. 29, Angel N. Ball, 33, of Belpre, was arrested on a charge of attempted theft.

* On Nov. 30, Michael B. Lamp, 31, of Belpre, was cited for having an expired registration.

* On Dec. 1, McKenzie A. Cowman, 25, of Belpre, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on a parole violation. Cowman was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

* On Dec. 2, Pamela L. Curtis, 65, of Belpre, was arrested for OVI and failure to control.

Williamstown Police

WILLIAMSTOWN — Williamstown Police Department released the following reports Dec. 3:

Nov. 27

* Kaleb Howerton, 27, of Green Forest, Alaska, was cited for speeding, 40 mph in a 25 mph zone, on HIghland Avenue.

Nov. 28

* Matthew J. Delong, 29, of Vienna, was arrested on a capias warrant issued by family court on Highland Avenue. Delong was placed with the West Virginia Department of Corrections.

* Morgan Haddox, 26, of St. Marys, was cited for speeding, 40 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

* Marla Border, 23, of Caldwell, was cited for speeding, 36 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

Nov. 29

* Sean Mcintire, 47, of Williamstown, was cited for possession of marijuana on Dodge Avenue.

* Jonas Miller, 35, of Waterford, was cited for no seat belt on Dodge Avenue.

* Barron Epling, 49, of Point Pleasant, was cited for speeding, 43 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

Nov. 30

* Quanterio Deangelo Sitton, 33, of Greenville, S.C., was arrested on charges of possession with the intent to deliver heroin and possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine following a traffic stop in the lot of Davinci’s Restaurant. A loaded and un-holstered .38 caliber handgun was recovered under the passenger seat of the vehicle by officers. Additional charges may be pending in connection to the firearm pending followup. Sitton was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court and confined to the Department of Corrections on a $2,000 bond.

* Adbulwahab Ha Alkandari, 22, of Marietta, was cited for speeding, 60 mph in a 45 mph zone, on W.Va. 14.

Dec. 1

* Joan Owen, 19, of Parkersburg, was cited for speeding, 39 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

* Susan Meredith, 62, of Marietta, was cited for speeding, 60 mph in a 45 mph zone, on W.Va. 14.

Dec. 2

* James Sams, 35, of Parkersburg, was cited for a red light violation and no motor vehicle inspection on West Third Street.

* Kurt Williams, 38, of Marietta. was cited for speeding, 39 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

* Jackie Stull, 45, of Vienna, was cited for speeding, 48 mph in a 35 zone, on West Third Street.

* Hayley Cunningham, 21, of Mineral Wells, was cited for speeding, 58 mph in a 45 mph zone, and no motor vehicle inspection on W.Va. 14.
