Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Circuit Court heard the following cases Dec. 4.

In Judge Robert Waters’ Court:

* John M. Decker, 42, in custody, waived extradition back to Washington County on charges of aggravated robbery and felonious assault.

* Gabrielle Chaffin, 19, in custody, waived extradition back to Washington County on a charge of complicit aggravated robbery.

In Judge Jason Wharton’s Court:

* Tiara Dawn Delancey, 23, 1203 Swann St., Parkersburg, was found guilty on plea to child neglect creating risk of injury and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and was sentenced to one to five years at the West Virginia Department of Corrections for each charge, to run concurrently and 19 years of supervised release.

* Whitney Reader, 30, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to unlawful assault, a lesser included offense of malicious assault, and domestic battery, a third offense; she will be sentenced on Jan. 23, 2019 at 9 a.m.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Dec. 3:

* Richard Allen Wiseman, 63, of 89 Tumblewood Drive, Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of malicious assault and released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Debra Jean Blanks, 51, of 1421 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of child neglect and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Quentin Russell Kerby, 27, of 7440 Pine Creek Road, Mount Zion, was arraigned on charges of first-offense driving under the influence (marijuana) and possession of a controlled substance and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Robert Clay Edwards, 43, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on three counts of violation of a personal safety order and one count each of domestic battery, obstructing, assault on a police officer and battery of a police officer and was released on a $10,000 surety bond.

* James Franklin Sams, 35, of 5023 Elmwood Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and no insurance and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Rachel Winona Lawson, 35, of 1421 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of child neglect and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Courtney Anne Harpster, 35, of 711 Cisler Lane, Marietta, was arraigned on charges of battery of a police officer, obstruction, disorderly conduct and refusal to submit to fingerprinting and released on a $1,000 bond.

* Pamela Sue Perrine, 37, of 15 Cleveland Ave., Buckhannon, W.Va., was arraigned on two counts each of obstructing and prohibited person in possession of a firearm and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Nancy Joanna Helmick, 60, of 512 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* James Michael Herrington, 27, of P.O. Box 813, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of stalking and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

* Jason Lee Gregory, 38, of 17149 Maylady Road, Mount Orab, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of first-offense shoplifting and obstructing and bond was set at $1,000 surety.

* Kayla Louise Menking, 26, of 1421 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of child neglect and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Amy Celia Castelli, 34, of 300 Oakwood Ave., Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Neil Denver Sprout, 42, of 193 Walker Road, Walker, was arraigned on three counts of second-offense shoplifting and released on a $3,000 bond.

* Herbert Leon Mahar III, 33, of 21 Royal Gardens, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense shoplifting and bond was set at $2,500 surety.

* Robbie Lee Cottrill, 42, of 1614 Pearcy Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fraudulent use of an access device and released on a $3,500 surety bond.

* Christopher Cecil Cox, 32, of 2308 Clifton Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of prohibited person in possession of a firearm and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Douglas Theodore Corbin, 21, of 1421 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of child neglect and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Justine Mae MacIntyre, 22, of 307 Deevers Fork, Elizabeth, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication, petit larceny and vehicle tampering and bond was set at $3,000 surety.

* Mary Annette Barker, 60, of 811 Swann St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication and obstructing and released on a $500 bond.

* Daniel Alexander Ash, 24, of 1215 24th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing and released on a $500 surety bond.

* Autumn N. Thrasher, 40, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and released on $500 bond.

* John Lynn Leggett Jr., 26, of 117 Howell St., West Union, pleaded guilty to fraudulent use of an access device, was sentenced to six months in jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Raymond Carl Depasquale, 22, 5 Oakwood Drive, Ripley, had a charge of strangulation dismissed after the victim didn’t wish to pursue the charge.

* Hunter T. Piatt, 27, of 749 Mary St., Belpre, pleaded guilty to petit larceny and was assessed $245.25 in fines and court costs.

* Monica P. Robertson, 34, of Parkersburg, had a second-offense charge of domestic battery dismissed after the state no longer wish to pursue.

* Joshua Shawn Cayton, 38, of 496 Walker Lane, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to driving under the influence with BAC greater than 0.15 percent, was sentenced to 48 hours in jail and was assessed $455.25 in fines and court costs.

* Alton Andrew Eskridge, 53, of 1710 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI, was sentenced to time served and was assessed $335.25 in fines and court costs.

* David Allen Azinger, 51, of Parkersburg, had two counts of violation of a protective order dismissed after the vicitim was unable to proceed at this time.

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports on Dec. 4.

* Jacob Digman, 36, 359 Jefferson Drive, Mineral Wells, was dismissed on a charge of worthless check as the case is 13 years old and was never prosecuted.

* Nicole Dawn Weaver, 28, 128 19th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, heroin, and obstruction. As part of a plea agreement she was dismissed on four charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, heroin, and driving while suspended, a second offense. She was sentenced to six months of home confinement and assessed $345.50 in court costs and fines.

* Cassandra Miller, 19, 185 Old Turnpike Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, methamphetamine, and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Joshua Robert Wilson, 36, 4218 Lincoln St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and is being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $5,000 cash bond.
