Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on Aug. 14:

* Matthew Davis Gonzales, of Parkersburg, pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of second-offense possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and two lesser included counts of possession of a controlld substance with intent to deliver. His sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 28.

* Shea N. Lyons, of Belpre, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge fo conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with intent to delivery. Her sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 2.

* Brandy D. Baker pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of fraudulent use of an access device and conspiracy to commit delivery of a controlled substance. Her sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 22.

* Mark Leslie Lively, of Kenna, W.Va., pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of third-offense driving under suspension. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 29.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Aug. 13:

* Dennis Michael Hutton II, 31, of 2421 Valley Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine and less than 15 grams of marijuana, two counts of driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence and one count of no proof of insurance and released on a $2,500 bond.

* Cherish L. Sams, 18, of 910 Charles St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of underage possession and consumption of alcohol and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael Carmet Ayers, 57, of 81 Gardenia Lane, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a license revoked for DUI, improper registration, no insurance, failure to report an accident and failure to maintain control and was released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Jennifer Lynn Bennett, 41, of 1802 St. Marys Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of obstructing and released on a $1,000 bond.

* Jedidiah Daniel Stutler, 20, of 131 Holly Drive, Elizabeth, was arraigned on six counts of forgery and uttering and bond was set at $6,000 cash.

* Rachelle Faye Satow, 23, of Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on a $500 surety bond.

* Jeffrey Isiah Cottrell, 22, of 804 Dooley Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and possession of a controlled substance and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Jeffery Sky Wood, 27, of 351 Spence Road, Belpre, was arraigned on charges of fleeing on foot and obstructing and bond was set at $1,500 surety.

* Angela Dawn Johnson, 37, of 908 Neale St., Apt. B, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of third offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous, no insurance, improper motor vehicle inspection and expired registration. Bond was set at $800.

* David Michael Carpenter, 24, care of 1205 Rayon Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of selling/transferring stolen property, fleeing from an officer and obstruction and released on a $1,500 bond.

* Genelle Myna Biggle, 28, of 2530 Meadowview Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of driving on a license revoked for DUI, DUI, failure to obey a stop sign, no insurance and failure to maintain control and released on a $1,500 bond.

* Edward Eugene Gibson III, 32, of 1205 Rayon Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of fleeing on foot and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Tyler Michael Ludwig, 30, of 400 Walnut Grove, Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on charges of unlawful taking of a vehicle and fleeing in a vehicle and bond was set at $1,500 surety.

* Gage Michael Wix, 22, of 539 Carpenters Run Road, Waverly, was arraigned on charges of second-offense DUI, first-offense driving on a license revoked for DUI and failure to maintain control and was released on a $1,500 bond.

* Amanda Elizabeth Parrish, 26, care of 26561 Main St., Coolville, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, meth, and released on a $1,000 bond.

* Thomas William Gaughan, 32, of 1017 Lynn St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of leaving the scene of an accident and one count each of obstructing, shoplifting, no insurance and reckless driving and released on a $9,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Mark Matthew Smith, 28, of 2104 12th Ave., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a burglary charge and the case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Eric R. Shuman, 39, of 2323 Liberty St., Parkersburg, had a DUI charge dismissed after completing a deferral program.

* Tiffany Renee Wright, 31, of 114 Wildwood Drive, Apt. 1, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was assessed $216.65 in fines, court costs and restitution.

* Sard Melvin Williams, 43, of 46 Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving under suspension, was sentenced to 30 days home confinement and was assessed $310.25 in fines and court costs.

* Nicole M. Nutter, 35, 4049 Shelving Rock Road, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to a worthless check charge and was assessed $800.83 in fines, court costs and restitution.

* Daniel Ray Hickman, 33, 1342 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving under suspension and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court costs. He also pleaded guilty to petit larceny and was assessed $640.18 in fines, court costs and restitution.

* Daniel Lee Frame, 35, 413 Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trespassing and was assessed $185.25 in fines and court costs.

* Shawn Michael Crooks, 43, 139 Mineral Wells Estate, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, was sentenced to 90 days jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $210.25 in fines and court costs.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Magistrate Court on Aug. 14:

* Burl Anthony Waggoner, 48, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a violation of a protective order charge and was released on bond.

* James Cook, 40, 842 Quincy Hill, Apt. A, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to trespassing and was assessed $170.25 in fines and court costs.

* Bradley Scott Helmick, 38, 524 Fifth St., Parkersburg, had charges of obstructing, disorderly conduct and two counts of assault on a government employee dismissed under a deferred sentence agreement and was assessed $651 in court costs.

* Joshua David Stanley, 25, 77 Dale Drive, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, was sentenced to 90 days jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Zoe Oceana Ward, 27, 606 Lee St., Belpre, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance dismissed under a deferred sentence agreement and was assessed $170.25 in court costs.

* Ray Junior Frame, 36, 1303 16th St., Parkersburg, had a charge of possession of less than 15 grams of a controlled substance dismissed under a deferred sentence agreement and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Robert Dewayne Holley, 41, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to child neglect creating risk of injury, was sentenced to six months jail with credit for time served and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports Aug. 13:

* On Aug. 6, Lt. Hunter met with an employee of T. Steele Construction regarding a theft of a Predator 4000 generator, along with wrenches at a job site located at 105 Smithberger Drive, Lower Salem. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 7, Deputy Zide met with members of the Village of Macksburg garage in reference to missing items. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 8, Deputy A McConnell met with Sherri Merckle, 805 State Route 260, New Matamoras, Ohio, in reference to a stolen item. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 10, Deputy McKee responded to Par Mar, Little Hocking, to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Prior to Deputy McKee arriving the individual left and proceeded to the Dollar General in Little Hocking. The vehicle was located and the individual in the driver’s seat was identified as Amy Leedy, 45669 Miller Road, Pomeroy, Ohio. Leedy was issued a citation for no operator’s license.

* On Aug. 10, Deputy McKee met with Natasha Wagner who reported she was assaulted by her husband, Jason Hill, at 240 Francis Road, Lowell. Wagner stated she arrived at the residence to retrieve property and when Hill answered the door he refused her entry. Wagner states Hill then slammed the door shut and then opened it back up and slapped her across the face with an open hand. Hill admitted he slammed the door and that Wagner’s arm may have been in the doorway, but denied slapping her. Jason Allen Hill, 30, 240 Francis Road, Lowell, was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

* On Aug. 10, Deputy Hall met with Christopher Krueger, 8500 Dalzell Road, Lower Salem, regarding damage to vehicle tires. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 12, Deputy Schwendeman met with Michael Hardie, 19965 State Route 550, Marietta, in reference to items removed from his vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

* On Aug. 12, Deputy Hall responded to 17651 County Nine Road, New Matamoras, to a possible domestic violence situation between Quinton Humphrey and Sarah Dunn. Dunn stated Humphrey had thrown a flashlight at her on Aug. 11 after an argument. Dunn states Humphrey punched her in the face and broke her phone sparking her to call for help. Humphrey was located and interviewed. Humphrey denied throwing the flashlight, however accidentally hit her in the face and threw her phone during an argument. Quinton Michael Humphrey, 20, 17651 County Road 9, Marietta, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

* Bradley Louis Demster, 31, 3620 Duvall Road, McConnelsville, for probation violation and driving under the influence, misdemeanors.

* Jason Allen Hill, 30, of Lowell, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

* Kenneth Ray Rogers, 31, 801 1/2 Front Street, Marietta, for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.

* Christopher Corey Griffin, 34, 52031 Rye Road, Reedsville, for receiving stolen property and failure to appear, both felonies.

* Kevin Ray Blackburn, 32, 2340 Sealey Ridge Road, Vincent, for no operator’s license, a misdemeanor.

* Gary Lee Mitchell, 48, 16131 SR 821, Macksburg, for criminal damaging/endangering, a misdemeanor.

* Michelle Lee Tornes, 48, 30 Davis Road, Waterford, for driving while under the influence of alcohol, disorderly conduct and left of center, all misdemeanors.

* Wesley Ian Miller, 31, 12020 Waterford Road, Waterford, for tampering with drugs, trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs and probation violation, all felonies.

* Mckenzie Ann Cowman, 25, of Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

* Joseph Brett Knowlton, 36, 5494 Pounds Road, Glouster, for driving while under the influence of alcohol, drug paraphernalia, obstructing official business and possession of drugs, all misdemeanors.

* Quinton Michael Humphrey, 20, of Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

* Brian Keith Hitchcock, 39, 106 S. Second Street, Marietta, for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Parkersburg Police

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports Aug. 14:

* On Aug. 13, the Parkersburg Police Department responded to 82 calls for service.

* Allen Hayes, 18, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 13 on a capias for knowingly possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription.

* William Dennis, of Parkersburg was arrested Aug. 13 on a petit larceny charge.

* Robert Flinn, 31, of Belleville, was arrested Aug. 13 on a warrant for violation of a protective order.

* Pamela Travis, 58, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 13 on charges of forgery and grand larceny.

* Swayne Singer, 26, of Parkersburg, was arrested Aug. 13 on a warrant for fraudulent use of an access device.

* On Aug. 13, officers responded to Sheetz on Seventh Street in reference to shoplifting.

* On Aug. 13, officers responded to TJ Max and cited Billy Davis for shoplifting.

* On Aug. 13, officers responded to PPD headquarters in reference to a destruction of property.

* On Aug. 13, officers responded to Avery Street in reference to a burglary that already occurred.

* On Aug. 13, officers investigated six motor vehicle accidents.
