Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on July 30:

* Christian Kyle Cottrell, 27, in custody at Central Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to two counts of cruelty to animals. His trial was set for Sept. 5, 2018.

* Michael Brandon Kirk, 30, in custody at North Central Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree robbery, grand larceny and two counts of uttering. His trial was set for Oct. 23, 2018.

* Tyas Morgan Lipscomb, 19, in custody at North Central Regional Jail, was indicted on charges of child neglect creating the risk of serious bodily injury or death, child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury, child abuse resulting in injury and domestic battery. His trial has been set for Oct. 30, 2018.

* Courtney D. Bennett, 18, of 2552 David Lee Drive, Parkersburg, was indicted on a charge of child neglect creating the risk of serious bodily injury or death. Her trial has been set for Oct. 30, 2018.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports July 30:

* Shawn Michael Crooks, 43, of 139 Mineral Park Lane, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of grand larceny, destruction of property and conspiracy to commit destruction of property and released on a $15,000 surety bond.

* Sherrie Lea Blackburn, 41, of 618 Reed St., Apt. 9, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense shoplifting and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Daniel Michael Persons, 32, of Waverly, was arraigned on a charge of domestic assault and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Anthony A. Leak, 32, of 1505 Washington Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of petit larceny and fleeing on foot and released on a $4,000 surety bond.

* Michael McCauley Riggins, 28, of 700 Eighth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of operating an all-terrain vehicle on the interstate and fleeing in a vehicle and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* William Alan Whitlatch, 41, of 804 18th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Gregory Morris Salter, 47, of 5500 Second Ave., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of grand larceny and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Ariel Reana Richards, 24, of 139 Mineral Park Lane, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of grand larceny, destruction of property and conspiracy to commit destruction of property and was released on a $15,000 surety bond.

* Brian Dean Jones, 46, of 21 Jones St., Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of aggravated driving under the influence and released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Billy Glenn Davis, 34, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of destruction of property and violation of a protective order and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Jason Lee Gregory, 37, of 124 Lynn St., Apt. 2, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and shoplifting. Bond was set at $3,000, but he was held without bond on a separate charge.

* Michael Shane Donahue, 40, of 4205 Jefferson St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Dominique Jeane Richards, 26, of 46314 Westminster Drive, Macomb, Mich., was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and transportation of drugs into the state and bond was set at $200,000.

* Anthony Eugene Boswell, 37, of 207 Lancaster St., Marietta, was arraigned on charges of petit larceny and shoplifting and released on a $2,000 bond.

* Adam Spencer Jarvis, 21, of 3525 Roseland Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of theft of utilities and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Brian Andrew Sears, 39, of 62 Pine St., Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond, then, in a separate incident, arraigned on charges of third-offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous, no insurance and no registration and released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Charles Matthew Little, 57, of Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on a $3,000 surety bond. In a separate incident, he was arraigned on a charge of violating a domestic violence protection order and bond was set at $10,000 cash.

* Kimberly Ann Fields, 40, of 1601 19th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violating a domestic violence protection order and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Larry Paul Gross, 49, of 568 Happy Valley Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense shoplifting and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Shane Allen Wigal, 35, of 4824 15th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on three worthless check charges and one count each of false pretenses and violation of a protection order and released on $3,100 bond.

* Patrick Eugene Parker, 28, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense domestic battery and released on a $4,000 surety bond.

* Adam Corey Abbott, 28, of Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and bond was set at $4,000 surety.

* Brittany Diane Tolliver, 33, of 251 Poplar St. Extension, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing and bond was set at $1,000 surety.

* James Rodney Walters Jr., 35, of Parkersburg, had a domestic battery charge dismissed.

* Crystal Marie Parker, 38, of Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, was sentenced to 10 days jail suspended for one year of probation with six months Day Report Center and Westbrook and was assessed $185.25 in fines and court costs.

* Michael Paul Surface, 43, of 701 Race St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a driving under suspension charge and released on $1,000 bond.

* Kami Ann Hinzman, 31, of 2816 33rd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving under suspension and grand larceny and bond was set at $6,000.

* Carl Ray Sprout, 35, of P.O. Box 14, Walker, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was assessed $200.25 in fines and court costs and $50 in civil penalties.

* Dalton Allen Koon, 20, of Parkersburg, had a domestic battery charge dimissed.

* William Paul Fluharty, 25, of Washington, W.Va., had a domestic battery charge dismissed.

* Christopher Paul Peters, 42, of 2403 Highland Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of third-offense driving under suspension and no proof of insurance and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Thaddeus Scott Piggott, 23, of 2707 Hampton St., Parkersburg, had a reckless driving charge dismissed.

* Michael Evan Thompson, 34, of 413 East Eighth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a no operator’s license and bond was set at $500.

* Michelle S. Henry, 23, of 1205 Rayon Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a petit larceny charge and released on $1,000 bond.

Williamstown Police

WILLIAMSTOWN — The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports July 30:

July 24

* James Earl Bee, 32, Parkersburg, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license on West Eighth Street.

* Richard H. Finley, 27, West Chester, Ohio, was cited on a charge of speeding, 40 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

July 25

* Alexis Drake, 20, Vienna. was cited on charges of driving on a suspended license and expired motor vehicle inspection on Highland Avenue.

July 26

* Officers executed a search warrant in the 100 block of West Eighth Street in connection to a stolen property investigation. Officers recovered digital scales, baggies, and multiple meth pipes in the residence. Child protective services were called to the residence due to minor children being present. Three minor children were removed from the residence by CPS. The incident remains under investigation. An occupant of the residence, Erica Nichole Blake, 35, of Williamstown, was arrested on a felony warrant for counterfeiting in a case investigated by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. Blake was transported to Wood County Magistrate Court and confined in lieu of bail.

* Eric A. Farnsworth, 20, Marietta, was cited on charges of speeding, 39 mph in a 25 mph zone, and possession of marijuana on Highland Avenue.

* Stephen Fink, 49, Parkersburg, was cited on an expired registration charge on Highland Avenue.

* Dakota Miller, 18, Williamstown, was cited for no seat belt on Highland Avenue.

July 28

* Anthony E. Boswell, 37, Marietta, was arrested on warrants charging him with petit larceny, shoplifting and four worthless check counts. Boswell was located walking on 4 1/2 Street by officers responding to a suspicious person call at approximatley 11:41 p.m. Officers ran a warrant check and discovered Boswell was wanted on the charges and was transported to the holding center and later released on bond.
