PARKERSBURG — Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports July 2:

* Amy Jo Romesburg, 30, of 630 Rippentuck Road, Friendly, was arraigned on charges of second-offense driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence, driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and defective equipment and released on a $4,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Casey Charles Lehew, 32, of 555 Eyerman Road, Belpre, was arraigned on charges of transferring/receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance, heroin, and released on a $4,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Meghan Elyse Dorset, 29, of 295 Southridge Road, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on a $3,000 bond.

* Edward Madison Hall Jr., 51, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and bond was set at $1,000 surety.

* Anthony Marcus Opitz, 31, of Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protective order and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Tasha Marie Ault, 29, of 64 Strimer Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of breaking and entering and conspiracy to commit breaking and entering and bond was set at $60,000 surety.

* Carl Ray Sprout, 35, of P.O. Box 14, Walker, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of first-offense shoplifting and driving on a revoked license and was released on a $3,000 bond.

* Daryl Alan Mowery, 33, of 1105 13th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and released on a $2,000 bond.

* Carl Cecil Burner, 37, of 2906 29th St., Apt. 12, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance, meth; fleeing on foot from officers; first-offense shoplifting; and public intoxication and released on a $3,,000 surety bond.

* Steven Michael Hollins Jr., 30, of 916 West Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, less than 15 grams, and was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Nathan L. Goins, 53, of 36 Royal Gardens Court, Apt. 25, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Lyndia Bell Opitz, 32, of 963 Meadville Road, Davisville, was arraigned on charges of obstruction and first-offense driving on a suspended license and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Sheena Marie Kerns, 32, of 5527 Walker Road, Walker, was arraigned on a charge of petit larceny and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Stephanie Marie Amos, 25, 97 Aqua Circle, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a cruelty to animals charge and bond was set at $2,500.

* Joshua Allen Chipps, 28, 802 1/2 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of breaking and entering and conspiracy to commit breaking and entering and bond was set at $60,000.

* Troy Brett Shaffer, 43, 316 Pine Landing, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of bond violation for domestic protection order and was released on $500 bond.

* David Alan Bonnett, 57, 727 Colvin St., Belpre, was arraigned on a driving while impaired charge and bond was set at $2,500.

* Daniel Ray Bush II, 38, 230 Fort Boreman Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of fraudulent motor vehicle inspection and possession of a controlled substance less than 15 grams and was released on $500 bond.

* Cory Glenn Friend, 27, 1061 39th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a petit larceny charge and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Zachary Scott Brooks, 21, 1464 Barnett Ridge Road, Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was released on $500 bond.

* Austin James Foster, 20, 914 16th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to embezzlement, was sentenced to six months jail suspended for two years probation and was assessed $1,543.63 in court costs and restitution.

* Cole Braden Cheuvront, 19, 155 Camp Barbe Road, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to obstruction and was assessed $210.25 in fines and court costs.

* Jenny Nicole Winter, 32, 1602 Core Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to truancy and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court costs.

* Jere Lewis Newberry, 45, Vienna, had a domestic battery charge dismissed.

* Jazmine Elizabeth Boyd, 28, 2408 Clement Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of no proof of insurance dismissed.

* Hope Ann Kimble-Lockhart, 22, 2512 Fourth Ave., Vienna, pleaded guilty to no operator’s license and no proof of insurance and was assessed $540.50 in fines and court costs.

* Leslie Marie Stephens, 38, 298 Piggott Place, Munday, W.Va., had two counts of possession of a controlled substance dismissed.

PARKERSBURG — On July 3 the following reports were released by Wood County Magistrate Court:

* Mariah Mae Rexroad, 19, 2979 Youba Ridge Road, Coolville, pleaded guilty to a citation for first-offense shoplifting and was assessed $259.25 in fines and court fees.

* Michael Allen Gregory, 49, 1133 Swann St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of failure to register as a sex offender and was released on a $1,000 bond.

* Jamar Harold Hunter Jr., 32, 311 Elm St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protective order and is in custody in lieu of a $5,000 personal recognizance bond with 10 percent cash.

* April Dawn Goodwin, 37, 718 Hall St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of abuse by a parent creating a risk of injury and domestic assault and is in custody in lieu of a $10,000 surety bond.

* Pamela Gay Buskirk, 47, 909 12th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Eric Jason McCumbers, 46, 1801 Avery St., Parkersburg, was bound over to circuit court after probable cause was found for a charge of attempting to commit entry of a building other than a dwelling.

* Sierra Ellen West, 19, 48 Potters Lane, Roseville, Ohio, was arraigned on a charge of first-offense shoplifting citation and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Shelley J. Deem, 38, 718 Eighth Ave., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on two charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and was released on a $30,000 surety bond.

* Nathan Scott Brannon, 25, 88 Odell Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, was sentenced to 90 days in jail suspended for one year unsupervised probation and was assessed $160.25 in fines and court fees.

* A citation for no motor vehicle inspection against Shawn Douglas Miller, 20, 706 Fourth Ave., Parkersburg, was dismissed after he had his vehicle inspected.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports July 2:

* On June 27, deputies responded to 123 Merchant Street, Newport, to a theft complaint. Donald Metheney states Meghan Dorset was dropped off at his house. Throughout the day, while Metheney was unavailable, Dorset stole several items from his home. Deputies met with Dorset who initially lied about who she was, later identifying herself as Dorset. Dorset admitted to stealing two handguns, $100 cash, two cell phones, and four ribeye steaks from Metheney. Megan E. Dorset, 29, 295 South Ridge Road, Parkersburg, was arrested by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department on an outstanding warrant and drug charges, as she was found with drugs in her purse. A warrant was requested through Marietta Municipal Court for theft against Dorset, a third-degree felony.

* On June 27, Dpeuty Johnson completed a private property accident report at 909 Pike Street, Marietta. Jonathan Charles George, 3509 Broad Street, Parkersburg, was backing from a parking lot and struck a parked vehicle owned by Sterling Packaging LLC.

* On June 27, Deputy Allender completed a private property accident report for Jeffery W. Riley, 1325 Anderson Road, Fleming. Riley’s vehicle was parked at 188 Main Street, Unit 2, Lowell, when Angie S. Riley, 188 Main Street, Lowell, backed out of the drive striking Jeffery Riley’s vehicle.

* On June 28, Deputy Johnson met with Brianna Hardesty, 274 Ridgewood Drive, Marietta, regarding an incident that took place on Dodd Run Road, Marietta. Hardesty states she was driving on Dodd Run Road and encountered Larry Haught Jr. Hardesty attempted to drive around Haught at which time he struck the windshield with something, causing it to shatter. Hardesty was also struck in the face with glass from the windshield. Haught was contacted and denied any encounter or seeing any vehicles. Larry Dale Haught Jr., 38, 565 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, was placed under arrest for criminal damaging and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

* On June 29, Deputy Jones and Deputy Zide attempted an arrest warrant on an individual in Marietta. Deputy Zide observed a male, later identified as Zachary T. Lindemood, exit a home and stuff something in his pants. Lindemood was approached and asked to retrieve whatever he stuffed in his pants, to which he consented. Taken from Lindemood and secured as evidence were four plastic bags that contained methamphetamine, a baggie of pills (Kolonopin), a larger baggie with what was reported to also be methamphetamine, and $310 cash. Zahcary T. Lindemood, 25, Woodsfield, Ohio, was placed under arrest for aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine, a felony of the fourth degree.

* Anthony Eugene Boswell, 37, 207 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* John Daniel Boyer, 38, 339 N. Seventh Street, Marietta, for domestic violence and drug possession, both misdemeanors.

* Timothy Allen Cunard, 47, 288 Incline Avenue, Wheeling, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor.

* David Sheehy Burns, 41, 138 Franklin Street, Marietta, for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

* Robert William Heiden, 24, 4905 2nd Avenue, Parkersburg, for receiving stolen property, a felony, criminal damaging/endangering and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

* Jacquline Darlene Steele, 29, 505 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

* Mark Anthony Hart, 27, homeless, for violation of protection order, a felony.

* Robert Edward Baker, 50, 706 Center Street, Beverly, for aggravated menacing, aggravated trespass and domestic violence, all misdemeanors.

* Vanessa Dawn Richards, 29, 1340 Burnfield Road, Vincent, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

* Nikki Lee Duncan, 36, 3701 Plum Run Road, Waterford, for possession of drugs, a felony, and possessing drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor.

* Larry Travis Lang, 38, Waterford, for possessing drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor.

* Rachel Kay Sweet, 25, 219 Grand Avenue, Akron, for theft, a felony, and criminal damaging/endangering, a misdemeanor.

* William Cody Honaker, 22, 1225 Prouty Avenue, Toledo, on warrants for two counts of driving under suspension, both misdemeanors.

MARIETTA — On July 3 the following rerports and charges were released by Washington County Sheriff’s Department:

June 29

* Jennifer Jo Murphy, 5849 Sustersic Ave., Bridgeport, Ohio, was issued a citation for driving on a suspended license and expired registration.

* Austin L. Starkey, 33, Claudia Flatwoods, W.Va., was issued a citation for speeding, 76 mph in a 60 mph zone.

* Deputy Carr was dispatched to a traffic crash on Ohio 7, Grandview Township. Nathaniel Godfrey, 1513 Prairie Drive, Belpre, was operating a 2008 Dodge Caliber southbound on Ohio 7 near Second Avenue, New Matamoras. Godfrey was behind a 2007 Toyota Yaris operated by Mary Cisler. Cisler executed a left turn onto Second Avenue and Godfrey, following too closely, was unable to stop, striking Cisler’s vehicle with the front of his vehicle causing minor damage to both vehicles. Godfrey was issued a citation for assured clear distance.

* Kenneth A. Casada, 117 Longacre St., Marietta, was operating a 2000 Ford F550 southbound on Ohio 7 near the 47 mile marker. Casada’s rear tires came off the vehicle and crashed into Michael D. Scarbrough’s 2017 Dodge truck.

June 30

* Deputy Hall was patrolling near the 4000 block of Ohio 60, Muskingum Township, when he located four horses running loose in the roadway. Hall was able to get the horses off the roadway and into a field and stood by while Lt. Hunter attempted to locate the owners. Information was received that the owners are Alan L. Porter, 57, 4350 Ohio 60, Marietta; Autumn Rose Eppley, 21, 202 Lindsey Ave., Marietta, and Simone Elizabeth Georgerian, 18, 301Masonic Park Road, Marietta. A summons is being requested for these individuals through Marietta Municipal Court on a charge of animals at large.

* Rufus Anthony Wright, 27, 2650 Ohio 588, Gallipolis, for aggravated possession of drugs.

* Bradley Steven Wright, 33, 1705 Harris Highway, Apt. 1, Washington, W.Va., for parking violation.

* Timothy Edward Gibson, 51, 12300 Ohio 329, Stewart, for theft.

* Jeremy Michael Charlton, 38, homeless, for probation violation.

* Raymond Curtis Parker, 51, 3715 Stanley Tolliver Ave., Cleveland, for possession of drugs, felony, and driving while under the influence and failure to reinstate license.

Athens Sheriff

ATHENS, Ohio — The Athens County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports July 3:

July 2

* The Athens County Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft from Canaanville Hills Road. Deputies were advised that an amount of cash had been taken from a deposit envelope from a business. Deputies were advised of a suspect and this case remains active.

* The Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Connett Road for a report of a man with a gun. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with a male, who was reported to have had a firearm in his waistband. A firearm was not located; however, a fish filet knife was found. As no crime was committed, deputies released the male and returned to patrol.

Parkersburg Police

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Police Department released the following reports July 2:

* This past weekend the Parkersburg Police Department responded to 348 calls for service.

* Kenneth Watson, 32, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 29 on a warrant for transferring and receiving stolen property and petit larceny.

* Edward Hall, 51, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 29 on a first-offense charge of domestic battery.

* Sammy Davis, 40, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 29 on a first-offense charge of domestic battery.

* Rachel Walters, 36, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 29 on a petit larceny charge.

* Steven Hollins, 30, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 30 on a charge of possession of marijuana less than 15 grams.

* Daryl Mowery, 37, of Parkersburg, was arrested June 30 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

* Carl Burner, 37, of Parkersburg, was arrested July 1 on charges of possession of a controlled substance, fleeing from an officer, first-offense shoplifting and public intoxication.

* David Bonnett, 57, of Belpre, was arrested July 2 on a first-offense driving under the influence charge.

* Judd Burke, 27, of Parkersburg, was arrested July 2 on a fugitive from justice warrant.
