Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Magistrate Court on May 7:

* James Jason Loiseau, 43, 386 Davisville Road, Davisville, was arraigned on charges of obstruction and disorderly conduct and was released on $2,000 bond.

* Cora Elizabeth Butcher, 41, 600 30th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a driving under the influence charge and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Ryan Lee Smith, 25, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on $3,000 bond.

* Caleb Matthew Deem, 19, 718 Eighth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Noah Robert Rexroad, 18, 3966 Tommy Bond Road, Coolville, was arraigned on charges of DUI and obstructing and was released on $3,000 bond.

* Anthony Marcus Opitz, 31, 963 Meadeville Road, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of violating a protective order and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Chris Harold Shackleford, 45, 205 West Fifth St., Williamstown, was arraigned on charges of public intoxication and obstructing and was released on $1,500 bond.

* Chad Michael Wilson, 32, 565 Sixth St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a petit larceny charge and was released on $2,000 bond.

* Erin Nicole Duvall, 19, 1213 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a battery charge and was released on $1,000 bond.

* Kristopher Robert Merry, 32, 3901 Second Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a failure to appear charge and was released on $2,500 bond.

* Rhonda Kaylynn Abbott, 19, 1213 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a battery charge and was released on $1,000 bond.

* David Alexander Bunch, 51, 1419 19th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of prohibited person in possession of a firearm and was released on $5,000 bond.

* Sheena Marie Davis, 56, 4814 Fourth Ave., #B4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of second-offense driving under suspension and possession of a controlled substance and was released on $2,000 bond.

* William Marion Cline, 45, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a second-offense domestic battery charge and was released on $2,000 bond.

* Brian J. Wheeler, 36, 2810 Frame Drive, Belpre, was arraigned on charges of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident and was released on $2,600 bond.

* Jazmine Elizabeth Boyd, 28, 2408 Clement Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a no proof of insurance charge and was released on $500 bond.

* Jesse Scott Brooks, 35, 122 Harmar St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, was sentenced to 90 days in jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $160.25 in court costs.

* Scott Anthony Daniels, 28, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, was sentenced to 90 days in jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $210.25 in fines and court costs.

* Paul Eugene Lyons, 28, 1335 Spring St., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of receiving/transferring stolen property and the case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Geary Lee Boston, 45, 203 40th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to fraudulent motor vehicle inspection and was assessed $165.25 in fines and court costs.

* Jackie Anne Nay, 30, 122 Sharon St., Mineral Wells, had two counts of possession of a controlled substance dismissed.

* Rebekah Louise Craig, 38, 43 Paddock Lane, Vienna, pleaded no contest to filing a false report, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and was assessed $210.25 in fines and court costs.

* Kelsey Lynn Johnson, 22, 673 Dog Fork Road, Kenna, W.Va., had two charges possession of a controlled substance dismissed.

* Timi Ann Walters, 22, 614 Elm St., Belpre, pleaded guilty to no proof of insurance and driving under suspension and was assessed $620.50 in fines and court costs.

* Chandra Renea Jenkins, 36, P.O. Box 94, Macfarlan, W.Va., pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was assessed $245.19 in fines, court costs and restitution.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports May 7:

* On May 4, a citation was issued to Brittany Marie Buckley, 18, of Elizabeth Pike, Mineral Wells, on charges of no insurance and no operator’s license.

* On May 4, Charles Vernon Alltop, 54, of Progress Ridge Road, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension and Shirley Jane Leasure, 64, of Progress Ridge Road, was arrested on a charge of permitting unauthorized person to drive.

* On May 4, Courtney Nicole Creel, 29, of Hyview Drive, was arrested on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

* On May 4, Leah Kathlene Parker, 41, of Bethel Road, was arrested on a warrant for truancy.

* On May 5, James Jason Loiseau, 43, of Davisville Road, was arrested on charges of obstructing and disorderly conduct.

* On May 5, Kristopher Robert Merry, 32, of Second Avenue, was arrested on a capias warrant for failure to appear from charges of trespass and public intoxication.

* On May 5, Cora Elizabeth Butcher, 41, of 30th Street, Vienna, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. A passenger in the vehicle, Diamonte D. Thompson, 18, of 19th Street, Vienna, was issued a citation for underage consumption.

* On May 5, Neal J. Swartentuber, 20, was arrested on a felony warrant for failure to register as a sex offender.

* On May 5, Michael Josef Farmer, 27, of St. Marys Avenue, was arrested on a capias warrant and was transported to North Central Regional Jail.

* On May 6, Sadie Jessie Bracewell, 22, of Chateau Hills, was issued a citation for no operator’s license.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports May 7:

The following warrants were processed at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

* Felicia D. Wallace, address unknown, probation violation. Original charge was possession of controlled substances.

* Ashley M. Holdren, 50755 State Route 248, Long Bottom, Ohio, contempt of court. Original charge was forgery.

The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday and Monday:

* Mark William Dunn, 65, 99 Linton Hill Road, Coolville, for assault, a felony, and disorderly conduct and menacing, misdemanors.

* Tracey Daniel Hooks, 50, 26162 Oricard Drive, Highland, Calif., for possession of drugs, a felony.

* Derek Michi Leftridge, 27, 147 Turkey Knob Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct and illegal use or possession of drugs, misdemeanors.

*Scott Allen Mollohan, 47, Little Hocking, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

* Larry David Tucker, 55, 32484 Hysell Run, Pomeroy, Ohio, for sexual battery.

Athens Sheriff

ATHENS, Ohio — The Athens County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports May 7:

* On May 6, the Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on Poston Road in reference to expired registration. After identifying the passenger as Cyrone Berry, it was learned she had two active warrants for her arrest. Berry was taken into custody and transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail without incident.

* On May 4, a resident of Center Street reported that sometime in the last three days someone stole a baseball and two Ohio State T-shirts from him.

* On May 4, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a SR 682 residence on a report of a mail box that was damaged.

* On May 4, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office with the arrest of Angela Ray, 45, of Glouster. Ray was arrested on aggravated menacing charges after she allegedly made threats to shoot one of the prosecutor’s investigators.

* On May 4, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Elliotsville Road for a report of theft. Deputies were advised that an iPhone 4 along with two Bluetooth speakers had been stolen.

* On May 4, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a female who had come onto a complainant’s property off Fisher Road and would not leave. Deputies arrived and identified the female and advised her to leave. No further action requested.

* On May 4, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Clinton Street area in reference to a vehicle being vandalized in the early morning hours with derogatory writing on the driver’s side of the truck. The victim advised they did not know of any subjects that he has made upset or been arguing with that may have done this to his vehicle.

* On May 4, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Inman Road on a report of a mail box that had been damaged after being hit by a vehicle.

* On May 4, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office located a vehicle on Felton Road that was found to have been burned. Deputies later made contact with the owner and found the vehicle was stolen from a residence on Potter Road the previous night.

* On May 5, a Coolville female reported that her neighbor who was intoxicated came to her residence and advised her that he “had a problem.” When she inquired if he needed her to call for assistance he stated that his issue was that she was too beautiful and that was a problem for him. Contact was made with the neighbor’s wife who advised the male was sleeping. The wife of the male assured deputies that he would not return to the neighbor’s property or say such things to her in the future. A trespass complaint form was filed.

* On May 5, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Perry Ridge Road for a report of theft. Deputies were advised that a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active had been stolen.

* On May 5, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Robinson Road for a suspicious vehicle that had been parked for days at the cell phone tower. Upon locating the vehicle, it was found to be a stolen vehicle out of West Virginia. Contact was made with the investigating agency, and the vehicle was towed to a secure facility.

* On May 5, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office took a statement from a female in the emergency room at O’Bleness who reported that she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend when she went to retrieve property on this date. No charges were requested, and photos were taken of her injury. Contact was made with the male and a statement was obtained from him as well. The male did have minor visible injuries as well which were documented.

* On May 5, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office was advised of three bicycles that were stolen from a residence on Ellis Avenue in Chauncey. Deputies patrolled the area with no contact with the bikes. With no suspects listed, the case will be closed.

* On May 5, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Mill Street in Chauncey for a report of a stolen bicycle. Deputies obtain a description of the bicycle and provided a similar picture of the bike. Deputies patrolled the area of Chauncey and located the bike at Evergreen Estates. The bike was taken back to the owner and given to a child. The case remains active, pending charges.

* On May 5, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office was called to Sixth Street in Jacksonville for a report of juveniles throwing items at the car and residence of an elderly female there. Several neighbors also witnessed these events and provided statements to deputies on scene. Contact was made with the juveniles and their mother who became irate screaming about her children being “profiled” by their last name and mistreated. Deputies encouraged the female to speak with her children about appropriate, respectful behavior and advised the children to have no further contact with the elderly neighbor.

* On May 6, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office observed an older light-colored Nissan pickup parked after hours in the New Marshfield Cemetery. Upon approach, the vehicle fled the scene and failed to stop for deputies. The suspect then turned on to Biddyville Road and drove on to an off-road ATV trail. Deputies and troopers from Ohio State Highway Patrol patrolled the area for where it may have reentered the roadway but were not able to locate it. Anyone with information about the suspect vehicle is asked to contact the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.

Williamstown Police

WILLIAMSTOWN — The Williamstown Police Department released the following reports May 7:

May 1

* Matthew Z. Smith, 32, Vienna, was cited for no operator’s license on West Third Street.

* Michael Yoney, 31, Vienna, was cited for expired motor vehicle inspection on West Third Street.

May 2

* Candace Erb, 36, Lowell, was cited for failure to yield following a two-vehicle accident on West Third Street at Henderson Avenue.

May 4

* Craig Ryan Bacsik, 26, Bridgeport, Conn., was arrested on a charge of obstructing an officer at the West Virginia Welcome Center. Bacsik was passed out in the grass area adjacent to the building and provided officers with a false identity when questioned. Bacsik was arraigned at Wood County Magistrate Court and confined in lieu of bail.

May 5

* Aaron L. Ferguson, 21, Pittsburgh, Pa., was cited for speeding, 42 mph in a 25 mph zone, on Highland Avenue.

* Christopher P. Cook, 27, Marietta, was cited for possession of marijuana and no insurance on Highland Avenue.

* Holly A. Cunningham, 25, Marietta, was cited for failure to produce operator’s license on Highland Avenue.

May 6

* Chris H. Shackelford, 45, Williamstown, was arrested on charges of public intoxication and obstructing an officer after he was located unresponsive on a sidewalk in the 400 block of Dodge Avenue. Shackelford was placed in the Wood County Holding Center overnight and later released on a personal recognizance bond.
