Circuit Court

PARKERSBURG — The following case appeared in Wood County Circuit Court on April 16:

* Joseph M. Barker, of Parkersburg, was sentenced Monday on an information charging him with delivery of a controlled substance. Barker was sentenced to one to 15 years in prison with credit for time served and the sentence was suspended for three years probation. He was assessed court costs and fee.

The information containing the delivery charge was filed Jan. 25 and he entered a guilty plea on Feb. 8.

Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases appeared in Wood County Magistrate Court on April 16:

* Joseph Matthew Joy, 31, of 615 Lulu St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and delivery of a controlled substance and released on a $5,000 bond.

* Amanda Faith Atkinson, 57, of 4200 Eighth Ave., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Thomas Charles Smith Jr., 57, of 807 Virginia St., Apt. 2, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and bond was set at $15,000 cash.

* Brittany Elizabeth McAtee, 29, of 2222 16th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Ashley Louise Haynes, 20, of 1408 1/2 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of shoplifting less than $500 and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Leah K. Parker, 41, of 294 Bethel Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous, improper motor vehicle inspection and no insurance and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Gregory Morris Salter, 47, of 5500 Second Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Ronnie Lee Lockhart Jr., 23, of 1701 Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, meth, and obstructing and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Dustin Wayne Crousser, 24, of 1011 Market St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of public intoxication and released on a $100 personal recognizance bond.

* Vivian Melissa Knight, 40, of 39 E. Park Way, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, meth, and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Carla Jo Masters, 34, of 2606 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, was arraigned on charges of first-offense driving under the influence and third-offense driving on a license suspended for miscellaneous and was released on a $3,000 bond.

* John Vincent Croft, 62, of 1408 1/2 St. Marys Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of first-offense DUI and no operator’s license and bond was set at $4,000.

* Robeyn M. Bush, 41, of 902 30th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing, disorderly conduct and public intoxication and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Cole Braden Cheuvront, 19, of 155 Camp Barbe Road, Elizabeth, was arraigned on charges of obstructing and assaulting an officer. Bond was set at $1,500 on those counts, but he was held without bond on charges of first-degree robbery and daytime burglary out of Jackson County.

* Elaine Denise Dulaney, 35, of Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Nathaniel R. Collins, 25, of 910 Thomas St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a license revoked for DUI and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Benjiman Stephan, 24, 701 Market St., Apt. B, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of no seat belt and driving under suspension and released on $525 bond.

* Hubert Milton Rake, 64, 2591 Love Hill Road, Waverly, was arraigned on a charge of prohibited person possessing a firearm and released on $500 bond.

* Devin Lee Adkins, 19, 134 Miller Drive, Ripley, had a burglary charge dismissed due to failure to appear by a victim.

* Heath Byrne Greathouse, 40, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for time served and was assessed $180.25 in fines and court costs.

* Mark Christopher Brown, 29, 2024 17th St., Apt. 2, Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on charges of burglary and breaking and entering and the case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Destany Robin Berga, 19, 501 1/2 Third St., Marietta, pleaded no contest to DUI, was sentenced to four hours in jail and was assessed $335.25 in fines and court costs.

* Lisa Ann Dement, 43, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery and six charges of violation of a protective order dismissed due to failure to appear by a victim. She pleaded guilty to trespassing and was assessed $165.25 in fines and court costs.

* Christopher Gene Starcher, 39, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of domestic battery and battery of government or medical personnel, was sentenced to 20 days in jail suspended for one year of probation on each charge, to run concurrently, and was assessed $320.50 in court costs.

* Sabrina Guy, 38, 504 34th St., Apt. 1, Vienna, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting, was sentenced to 30 days in jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $354.25 in fines, court costs and restitution.

* Megan Bailey, 39, 94 Arbor Lane, Apt. 3, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violation of a protective order, was sentenced to 30 days in jail suspended for one year of probation and was assessed $410.25 in fines and court costs.

* Derek Douglas Oldfield, 32, 713 Ninth St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to failure to appear and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court costs.

* Justin Kyle Wendelken, 29, 1108 Edwin St., Parkersburg, had one charge of improper display and two counts of driving under suspension dismissed due to failure to appear by an officer.

* Joshua Lee Auvil, 37, 8058 Grasselli St., Clarksburg, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance dismissed due to failure to appear by an officer.

* Justin Vincent Rutledge, 55, 12187 Harris Highway, Belleville, had charges of left of center, improper registration and driving under suspension dismissed due to failure to appear by an officer.

* Chad Stephen Jasper, 37, 1617 Pike St., Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny and the cases were bound over to circuit court.

* Travis Lee Swiger, 34, 93 South Fourth St., Parkersburg, had a strangulation charge dismissed due to failure to appear by a victim.

* Kamron D. Shepard, 33, 1305 Hazel St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was assessed $185.25 in fines and court costs.

* Joseph Jack Burdette, 39, had charges of driving under suspension and motor vehicle inspection violation dismissed due to failure to appear by an officer.

* Amanda Rae Wilson, 31, 4008 11th Ave., Parkersburg, had charges of possession of a controlled substance and providing a structure for use of controlled substance dismissed at the state’s request.

* Eric Shane Vest, 38, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery, public intoxication and fleeing and was released on $1,500 bond.

* Lucus Adam Shank, 37, 2711 18th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a destruction of property charge and released on $1,000 bond.

* Joel Adam Gibbs, 33, 1698 Silverton Road, Ravenswood, was arraigned on charges of trespassing, failure to render information and obstructing and bond was set at $1,500.

* Jerry Wayne Caldwell, 57, 35 Lawnsdale Road, Belpre, pleaded guilty to second-offense DUI, was sentenced to six months in jail and was assessed $215.25 in court costs.

* James Ryan Perkins, 42, 124 Pine Ave., Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a failure to appear charge and released on $2,500 bond.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 16:

* On April 12, Deputy Brown received a warrant from the Circuit Court of Wirt County for the arrest of Jon Lee Barker Jr. on a felony criminal complaint. Deputy Brown completed a check of the booking records with that of the warrant finding the Jon Lee Barker Jr., 27, 300 Ridgewood Drive, Marietta,, booked into the Washington County Jail was the same individual wanted out of Wirt County. A charge of fugitive from justice was filed through Marietta Municipal Court

* On April 12, Deputy Hall along with the Beverly Waterford Volunteer Fire Department responded to a brush fire on Stapf Road.

* On April 12, Deputy McKee along with the Oak Grove, Reno and Devola Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a fire at Profusion, BF Goodrich Road, Marietta.

* On April 13, information was received that Catrina M. Street was intoxicated and refusing to leave her residence. Deputies responded and met with the caller who stated an argument ensued at which time Street was reported to have thrown a can of beer at another witness, and even swung her belt striking a 16 year old. Street denied these allegations and continued to yell at witnesses and not follow the orders deputies were giving. Catrina Marie Street, 35, 27254 State Route7, Marietta, was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct cease and desist and was transported to the Washington County Jail. Once at the jail, Street submitted to a portable breath test, with the result being .262.

* On April 13, Joseph F. Wells, 1216 Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, reported a burglary at his residence. This case remains under investigation.

* On April 13, Fredrick Forsthorfel, 2129 Murray Street, Belpre, reported vehicle batteries stolen from the property. This case remains under investigation.

* On April 13, Dawna Roush reported a break-in of a storage building at 4645 State Route 339, Vincent. This case remains under investigation.

* On April 14, Deputy Johnson was dispatched to Dollar General, 336 Orchard Drive, Little Hocking, for a truck parked oddly in their lot with someone asleep inside. Deputy Johnson located a truck idling with the front wheels in the grass and the rear wheels on the pavement of the parking lot, with a male asleep in the driver’s seat. Deputy Johnson woke the subject, identified as Charles Ray Angello, 36, 220 Belmont Drive, Opelousas, La. Angello advised he had been in Marietta and his eyes appeared bloodshot and he was unsteady on his feet. Angello was asked to complete field sobriety tests, which he performed poorly on. Angello was placed under arrest for having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence. After arriving at the Washington County Jail Angello submitted to the BAC test, which registered at .182.

* On April 14, Sgt. Reeder was dispatched to the area of 19360 State Route 821, Macksburg, to a report of a suspicious person(s). Sgt. Reeder located two males sitting in a black Dodge pickup bearing Virginia registration. Contact with the driver/owner was made, identifying him as Andy Collins, and his passenger, Mark Frank.Both subjects were acting peculiar, stating they were lost and pulled over to rest. Sgt. Reeder requested a K9 sniff of the vehicle, although both occupants denied any use of drugs. K9 Rita indicated the presence of drugs and a search of the vehicle was conducted. Collins and Frank were escorted from the vehicle and a pat down search was conducted. Sgt. Reeder located a metal container which contained 1 green pill marked 893 (Clonazepam), 1 1/2 yellow pills marked R039 (Alprazolam), two uncapped syringes and two spoons with white residue, a small digital scale, an unmarked pill bottle and razor blade(s), containing a white residue. Both subjects denied these items belonged to them, and had no idea how they got there. Also located on the ground between the vehicle and where the two were standing were three baggies with several pills wrapped in a paper towel. Mark Kain Frank, 48, 2546 Wintergreen Drive, Radford, Va., was arrested for possession of drugs, tampering with evidence, possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia. Andy William Collins, 40, 6178 Old Rt 11, Dublin, Va., was placed under arrest for possession of drugs, possessing drug abuse instruments and drugs paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

The following warrants were processed at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

* Aaron R. Robinson, 90 Stanley Street, Newport, for abduction. Original charge is domestic violence.

* Jeremy R. Adkins, 1716 19th Street, Parkersburg, for probation violation. Original charge was felonious assault.

The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday and Monday:

* Brian Daniel Bates, 41, 530 1/2 High Street, Macksburg, for probation violation, a felony.

* Kattie Annette Graham, 35, 330 Gilman Avenue, Apt. 4, Marietta, for endangering children, a misdemeanor.

* Steven Marcus Simon, 27, 44451 SR 7, Clarington, Ohio, for probation violation, a misdemeanor.
