Dunham Township home destroyed in fire
DUNHAM TOWNSHIP — The Dunham Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 99 Cherry Hill Lane around 12:20 p.m. Friday.
According to Chief Ernie Hoschar, the structure was a mobile home, and no one was home at the time.
“It was a total loss,” Hoschar said when asked estimated damage.
Hoschar said it took responders approximately 25 minutes to put out the fire, due to dry conditions that made it easier for the grass to catch fire, and lack of fire hydrant. All water had to be hauled by trucks.
Hoschar said the scene was cleared around 4:30 p.m.
