Wood County Board of Education set to meet on Tuesday

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday evening to receive an update on school construction projects and to discuss upcoming Local School Improvement Council meetings.

The board meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Wood County Schools central office at 13th and Plum streets in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public.

The school board will receive a monthly update on construction and improvement projects throughout the school system from Assistant Superintendent Mike Fling and Chris Campbell of architectural and engineering firm ZMM.

The board also will recognize the Parkersburg South High School Air Force Junior ROTC for earning the Distinguished Unit with Merit Award, and the teachers by grade level with the highest classroom growth in iReady scores.

The board will vote on one employee suspension. Details were not immediately available Friday.
