PENNSBORO — The Pennsboro, Ellenboro and Harrisville Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a well pad fire near the intersection of Burton and Short Run roads in Pennsboro on Thursday night.

Workers were present at the site, which is owned by Antero Resources, when a production unit caught fire at 8:57 p.m., said Pennsboro VFD Assistant Chief Bud Sellers.

There were no injuries and the total damage was not known Thursday, Sellers said. Responders were on the scene for an hour and a half.
