Wood County Board of Education to begin LSIC presentations Monday

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Board of Education will meet Monday evening to receive reports from Local School Improvement Councils.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Field House at Parkersburg High School. The meeting is open to the public.

The event marks the first of three LSIC presentation meetings which will feature booths and presentations by committees from each of the district’s 27 public schools. The board will come to session then split into small groups to visit each LSIC booth.

The schools represented Monday will be Parkersburg High; VanDevender, Hamilton and Jackson middle schools; and Criss, Emerson, Jefferson, Kanawha, Madison, McKinley and Worthington elementary schools.

The board will continue the LSIC presentations Oct. 22 at Williamstown High School and Oct. 29 at Parkersburg South High School.
