DOT approves new carrier at MOV Regional

WILLIAMSTOWN — The U.S. Department of Transportation has approved Tennessee-based Contour Airlines as the new carrier at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport.

Airport Manager Glen Kelly said the Transportation Department recently signed off on the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport Authority’s recommendation to allow Contour to fly from the local airport to Charlotte Douglas International Airport under federally subsidized Alternate Essential Air Service. Flights on 30-seat jets will begin Dec. 1, Kelly said.
