Crash on Rosemar Road sends one to hospital

VIENNA — A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Rosemar Road and Covington Way sent at least one person to the hospital Thursday and tied up traffic for half an hour.

The crash occurred around 12:20 p.m. Thursday. Details on the circumstances of the crash were not available, though the two vehicles both came to rest in a ditch with one on its hood.

First responders loaded one patient into an ambulance on a stretcher while another rode in the front seat of a second ambulance.

Traffic was blocked in both directions for about 30 minutes as police and fire responded and debris was cleared from the roadway.
