GALLIPOLIS — A 16-year-old girl was killed Wednesday night in a single-vehicle traffic accident on Johnson Road in Gallia County, the Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said on Thursday.

Ryelee M. Sipple, Patriot, Ohio, was killed when the 2013 Subaru Legacy she was driving went off the road and struck a utility pole, continued and became airborne, struck two trees and overturned, the patrol said.

The accident happened about 9:45 p.m.
