BELPRE — Police in Belpre say they have arrested the man who allegedly robbed the Chase Bank at 321 Main St. Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect, Travis Eve, 34, of Florence Street in Belpre, was arrested about an hour after the robbery, which was called in to police at 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, said Belpre Police Chief Terry Williams.

Eve was charged with robbery, Williams said.

Williams said Eve handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller complied with the demand and Eve took between $5,000 and $10,000, Williams said.

Williams said he could not release the details of the case, but said officers on the scene were able to identify Eve and he was arrested at his home.
