‘Empower 2018’ conference set for Parkersburg High School Auditorium
PARKERSBURG — A women’s conference “Empower 2018 — It’s Time!” is scheduled for the Parkersburg High School Auditorium April 13 at 7 p.m. and April 14 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Registration is required, but the conference is free, by going to the link on the Empower 2018 Facebook event page. An email address is all that is needed to obtain a ticket.
Free lunch will be provided for registered attendees and served in the school dining area.
Downtown Bethel Church, on Market Street in Parkersburg, is inviting local ministries which have community outreaches to set up resource tables at the event, “so that everyone can see what everyone else is doing to make our valley a better place to live.”
Christ Temple Church Choir from Huntington will provide worship Friday evening. Saturday morning worship is at 9 a.m. with the Rock Church Worship Team.
Closing the conference will be the Downtown Bethel Worship Team at the 3 p.m. service.
Speakers for the event include: Pastor Janet Richards from Downtown Bethel Church in Parkersburg, Pastor Rodney Lord from Freedom Gate Church in Marietta, Pastor Miranda Riser, co-pastor of King’s Chapel in Morgantown, and Bethany Puckett from First Assembly of God.
Other speakers are included in this event in the main services and the afternoon workshops are being offered on various subjects relevant to the area and the ministry of the local church, event officials said.
“We have faith this event will bring a turnaround in how the Body of Christ relates in our valley. We believe God will make connections that will help bring the needed change our families are seeking and our valley is crying out for. It’s Time!” conference officials said.
