MORGANTOWN — A suspect arrested after a high-speed chase through Vienna and Parkersburg was apprehended again Thursday night when he tried to leave Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Jason Bernard, 44, of Parkersburg was picked up by Morgantown Police around 11:15 p.m. Thursday walking away from the hospital where he had been taken for an injury to his face sustained when police arrested him in Vienna earlier in the day. Morgantown Police Chief Ed Preston said officers found him wearing a hospital gown and bed sheet and arrested him without incident on outstanding warrants from the Vienna Police and the Wood County Sheriff’s departments.
