PARKERSBURG — The YMCA of Parkersburg is running its own version of the 12 days of Christmas this week as a fundraiser for its Strong Kids program.

People have until noon Friday to purchase tickets to win 12 holiday gift baskets filled with items donated by local businesses. Some of the baskets feature items for teenagers, women, families and West Virginia University sports fans.

The baskets are on display at the YMCA of Parkersburg on Broad Street. Tickets for the baskets drawing are $1 each or six for $5.

The drawing for the basket tickets will take place live on Facebook at noon Friday in the YMCA gymnasium. The value of each basket varies from $200 to $800, said Melissa Wigal, fitness program director and aquatics director at the YMCA.
