MARIETTA — A Marietta woman who allegedy stabbed her stepfather with a butter knife was among 20 individuals indicted by a Washington County Grand Jury this month.

“She assaulted her stepfather Steven McRhea with a butter knife,” said Assistant Prosecutor Rhonda Mears. “She punctured him everywhere.”

Mears said Farnsworth was upset by her stepfather putting hamburger in the kitchen microwave.

“She threw the burger on the floor and took a butter knife out of the drawer yelling ‘I’m going to kill you’ and jumped on his back continuing to stab him with it,” explained Mears. “There was blood spatter all over the kitchen floor and on her mother.”

Mears said after the alleged assault Farnsworth fled the home but returned twice, the first time to steal a phone of a sibling and the second to drink. Upon her second return the family called the police. When officials arrived Farnsworth allegedly became verbally combative and was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.
