Woman cited in two-vehicle crash

PARKERSBURG — A motorist from Ohio was taken to the hospital and cited in connection with a two-vehicle accident on Murdoch Avenue near West Virginia Avenue at 8:02 p.m. Friday, Parkersburg police said.

Nichole Kennedy, 42, of Chesterhill, Ohio, was pulling out of the Go-Mart on Murdoch trying to make a left turn headed toward the southbound lanes when her Kia Sorento mini-van was hit by a Hyundai Elantra traveling north on Murdoch driven by Cody Marks, 19, of Rockport, Parkersburg police said. The collision sent the mini-van onto the passenger side.

Kennedy was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. She was cited with failure to yield.
