PARKERSBURG — The Artsbridge Summer Music in the Park concert series continues at 7 p.m. Thursday with Britain.

Britain is a band that exists because of a mutual love of ’60s and ’70s classic rock music. Their repertoire consists of songs made famous by the Beatles, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Zombies and other artists from that time period.

Britain consists of four musicians: Dan Staats (bass and vocals), Preston (PT) Dabbs (guitar and vocals), John Jobes (drums) and John Gallagher (guitar, keyboard, and vocals). All have played in a variety of bands which date back to the ’70s and beyond.

They will perform at Parkersburg City Park in the bandshell. In case of rain, the concert will be relocated to the Horseshoe Pit Shelter.

The Summer Music series is hosted by Artsbridge and Thursday’s performance is sponsored by Peoples Bank.

The free concert is open to all and people are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
