West Virginia University at Parkersburg to hold recruitment events

PARKERSBURG –Individuals interested in teaching college courses are invited to attend one of West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s upcoming faculty recruitment events.

The events take place Wednesday, Feb. 22 at the main campus in Parkersburg and Wednesday, March 1 at the Jackson County Center in Ripley.

Both events begin at 6 p.m. with an introductory session where participants can meet academic leadership, receive information about the college, and learn about expectations of faculty.

This will be followed by one-on-one screening interviews with division chairs.

Participants are asked to bring two copies of a resume/CV and two copies of their unofficial college transcripts.

WVU at Parkersburg is seeking 2017 fall term full-time, master’s prepared faculty in the areas of accounting, business, English, education, early child development education, mathematics and psychology.

Full-time faculty are expected to instruct 15 credit hours per semester which may include evenings and weekends, face-to-face instruction, online, or a combination of in-person and online courses.

Part-time faculty member positions for the 2017 summer and fall terms are expected to be available in the areas of accounting, art, biology, business, business technology, child development, computer science, criminal justice, education, engineering, nursing, philosophy and sociology.
