Two sentenced in Wood County Circuit Court hearings

PARKERSBURG — Two sentencings were heard in Wood County Circuit Court Tuesday.

* Joseph Clayton Tanner, 32, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, was sentenced after his November guilty plea to charges of burglary, unlawful entry and automobile breaking and entering. He was sentenced by Judge J.D. Beane to one to 15 years with credit for 128 days served for the burglary charge, one to 10 years with credit for 194 days served for the unlawful entry charge and time served with credit for 194 days served for the automobile breaking and entering.

Sentences for the automobile breaking and entering and unlawful entry are to be served concurrently but consecutively to the burglary sentence.

* Deshawna Elizabeth Hatcher, 27, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, was granted a continuance for her sentencing hearing by Beane, since she has been accepted into the drug court program but has not found a place to live as required for participation.

Another hearing date has been set for 10:30 a.m. Feb. 9 before Beane. In August Hatcher pleaded guilty to a charge of fraudulent use of an access device as charged by the January 2016 grand jury and a bill of information charging her with grand larceny.
