Bowling Ball VI racks up nearly $2K for music programs

PARKERSBURG — The West Virginia Symphony League-Parkersburg raised nearly $2,000 at Bowling Ball VI at Emerson Lanes on Sept. 24.

Individual and corporate bowlers cheered on the West Virginia University Mountaineers football team (by way of television) as they bowled and dined on tailgate cuisine.

Teams from Kraton, Hino, Highmark, Camden Clark Medical Center and Results Radio competed for the Golden Bowling Pin. Kraton won the corporate contest for the sixth time. High non-corporate individual game bowlers were Phil Nicholson and Cate Shuman. Low non-corporate individual game bowlers were Phil Nicholson and Debbie Nesselroad.

The event raised money to support the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra-Parkersburg and its music education programs. The Symphony League is still selling raffle tickets for two tickets to a suite at the Nov. 5 Mountaineer football game. A suite includes indoor or outdoor seating, food, drinks and a parking pass. The suite was donated by Wharton Cadillac Nissan.
