Circuit court hears pleas, sentencing

PARKERSBURG – Two pleas and a sentencing took place in Wood County Circuit Court on Tuesday.

* Amy R. Patterson, also known as Paula Johnson, 23, 1012 George St., Apt. 1, Parkersburg, was sentenced after she successfully completed the program at the Anthony Center for Youthful Offenders. Judge Roberts Waters sentenced her to eight years in prison for fraudulent use of an access device with credit for 401 days served and one to five years in prison for conspiracy to commit fraudulent use of an access device with credit for 401 days served. Waters suspended the sentence for three years probation.

* Tosha Ann Deal, 30, 512 17th St., Parkersburg, entered a plea agreement to plead guilty to a bill of information charging her with knowingly keeping or maintaining a dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance. Judge Jeffrey Reed set sentencing for 11 a.m. Dec. 17. A motion for probation or alternative sentencing was taken under advisement.

* Charles Brian Davis, 39, 508 C St., Bridgeton, N.C., entered a plea agreement with the state to plead guilty to a false pretenses charge as charged by the May 2014 grand jury. Reed set sentencing for 1 p.m. Dec. 18. A motion for probation or alternative sentencing was taken under advisement.
