Crist to sing at local church

PARKERSBURG – “Songs from the Heart, Yvonne Crist and friends” will be presented 4 p.m. Sunday in the Sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 1341 Juliana St., Parkersburg.

Yvonne Crist studied at Dublin’s College of Music and in London. She was the leading soprano for Jury’s Irish Cabaret for six years.

A resident of Athens, Ohio, Crist lives with her husband, Richard, who also serves as an accompanist.

The friends sharing the afternoon will be bass-baritone Douglas Anderson of Marietta College and “Duo Apollonio,” the flute and cello duo of Robert and Melissa Herceg. Amy Sinclair will also serve as an accompanist.

Featured will be show tunes from My Fair Lady, Phantom of the Opera, Chorus Line and Wicked, and some well-known pieces of Giovanni, Bizet and Verdi will be performed.

Admission is free to the concert.
