Court hears three extradition cases
PARKERSBURG – Three extradition cases took place in Wood County Circuit Court Tuesday.
* Daniel Dwight Welsh, 37, 1294 Joshus Fork Road, Rockport, did not waive extradition to Placer County, Calif. Judge Robert Waters granted a motion for bond as a $5,000 personal recognizance bond and gave the State of California 30 to 90 days to issue a warrant. Under the condition of his bond, Welsh is not to leave Wood County except for work purposes.
* Phillip Daniel Kirby, 35, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, was denied a motion for release after he waived extradition to Linn County, Mo., on July 12, 2013. Judge Robert Waters denied a motion for release and Missouri officials are to be notified to transport him.
* William J. Dawson, 30, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, waived extradition to Washington County, Ohio, after a fugitive from justice hearing before Judge Robert Waters. He is wanted in Washington County on a larceny charge.
